You are basically betting 4 years of your life. If you are successful, that’s fantastic. If you are not, you most likely end up in a 6-year 11B contract that could have been only 2-year long. Something to keep in mind if you had a preference for a 2-year contract. Great to have options though, and thanks for the amazing video!

I’m not sure if the 6yr requirement is the same for active duty but for the guard it’s 6yrs. Active duty I’m sure for Special Forces always 4-6yrs due to all the training required for SF. They never offer a 2yr contract for special forces and even with a 2yr contract option for active duty is MOS specific. That option isn’t for all MOS’s. I can def tell you didn’t finish watching/listening to this video. By the time they complete 10 weeks of Army BCT, they’ll be US Citizens and if otherwise eligible for a Top Secret Clearance… they meet the requirements like any other US Citizen. So, unless I’m missing something I don’t get where it’s risky… Help me understand please and hopefully you finish watching. Stay blessed and s take care!

Thank you for this video, Are there other doors opening for permanent residents looking to go within other SOCOM communities? This is 18x, is there similar progress being made within 75th, 160th, or NAVY/Air Force Special Warfare (SOF)? Also, what are your thoughts on , 1. this option. (6 years needs of army if you fail out BUT guaranteed SFAS) or 2. Join regular 2 year contract, get naturalized, drop packet for selection or any SOF pipeline once you are a citizen within that first contract.

Hello there and thank you for reaching out! I’m not privy to what other branches are doing or allowing but to my knowledge this is a”test program” exclusively for the 18X Option for the US Army. Either if the two options will result in the needs of the Army if you fail out. So, my thoughts are you do what you feel is best for you. If you’re extremely fit, I’d suggest maybe going now would be ok. If not, maybe doing option 2 and work on getting into the best shape of your life and then apply. One thing I didn’t address with this video is Hypothyroidism. Here’s what you need to know: You need current lab results (or within 6mo) for TSH, T3, and T4 to submit to MEPS. If your levels are w/in the acceptable range, you’ll be good to go! Good luck on your waiver and may the waiver gods forever be in your favor!

Hey Swartz, I got an OTH from the USMC with an RE4 JKQ1 misconduct, I went awol for a year and 8 months. Is there anyway I can serve again active or reserve?

The 100 GT is on the website but the Immigrant option is as described in the video, a pilot program and won’t be added to the website unless it becomes a permanent option in the future. It’s an updated policy we call or refer to SMOMS. A restricted website of this publication not open to the general public. I wanna get a 18x contract let’s say I don’t meet the GT and asvab score in the guard they have 09 Mike would it be possible too get into that program after 3 months retake the test then get into a 18x contract? I also have charges that I got but they were all dismissed I don’t know if that matters or should be mention it

GT Line Score of 100 as this video explains is the test score and you’ll need to be in your best physical shape possible to physically have a chance to be successful. I have a question a little off topic. I enlisted last week and dont ship out until march 2024. Could i apply for citizenship after my first drill with RSP while waiting for my shipping date or will i have to wait all 5 months until i arrive to basic? I really appreciate it!

Yes you can and should after your first RSP Drill. Complete a N-400 & N-426 and submit it through your Recruiter to have their Battalion Commander (0-6) to sign off on it. Then submit it online digitally through the USCIS website. Usually in less than 3mo you’ll get your citizens providing you’re monitoring the updates on the USCIS website regularly and provide any and all info and documentation that may be requested by USCIS and go in to knock out what’s required with the oral and written exams, etc… Good luck and best wishes in Training! 💪🏼 Make the best of it, have fun and do your best! I’d like to go either rangers or SF. I have a 121 GT, and chose a different and excellent job (it came with a 3 year contract which actually surprised me especially with what it is)

Lmaoooo WTH are you talking about? Any US Citizen, “Patriot” that’s wants to be SF and otherwise qualify for it can do SF. So, I’m confused to how you could make such a statement. Foreigners who obtains US Citizenship through the Naturalization Process also have the same opportunity. This Pilot Program is allowing green card holders the ability initially contract for it but obtain US Citizenship before they even go through selection. So by the time they start SF Training, they’re no different than any other U.S. Native born U.S. Citizen or Naturalized U.S. Citizen… Just for clarification if I’ve failed to express this accordingly. @TeamSwartz should have been more clear I guess. I'm not opposed to recruiting others, I'm just disappointed they won't give me a shot just because my vision isn't 20/20. I can shoot, I can fight, I can ruck 20 miles. If they are so desperate, why not atleast give me a chance to prove and I can handle the job?

@@liminose Being colorblind I felt that lol. With that said, I’m just assuming having 20/20 vision means you’re not being concerned with damaging, losing or losing corrective vision eyewear. Having less than 20/20 vision would also require me various eyewear for various gear such as but not limited to scuba masks, night vision, helmets, gas mask, etc… With SF being responsible for the highest priority, utmost important, critical and complicated missions, having less than perfect vision is a minor issue that could take away or be a cause for a slight mistake that could have a tremendous result compromising the mission, lives, etc… it’s unfortunate for sure and I feel for you but unfortunately it is what it is. I’m not privy to Ranger qualifications but look into that as a worthy alternative.

@@Gunsroses27 words of a recruiter that would put you in the Army. Just go to a recruiter and tell him, you won’t be able to get an 18X/Opt40 but I assure you can get in the military.

@@Gunsroses27 like I said, tell him. You’ll need to track down the paperwork for him. The answer will always be no if you don’t try, and you have to find a recruiter that’s willing to work to get you in. Won’t be as easy as an 18yo out of high school, but with the right recruiter you can get in legitimately.

Why do you think this is not a good idea? I mean we take Naturalized US citizens and they’ll be naturalized by the time they get to SF training and need to meet the rest of the criteria…. That’s why I don’t disagree with this. Thanks for watching!
