Yea you need clearance least til you get your citizenship I mean it’s 0 fee when you go USCIS website you’ll see the N400 says 0 fee

Once you've served your 1st contract you can switch jobs as long as you've been good. Dont give up and dont choose a long contract so when reenlistment comes up you can choose to switch MOS and can be working on your clearance and citizenship in mean time

@@milesmorales1789 Unfortunately, nothing anyone of us can do for you. Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately You’ll need to go through immigration to obtain a Green Card (permanent resident card) and I cannot help in anyway. I cannot give a letter inviting you, sponsoring you or letter of intent. I don’t know the process so I’d suggest starting online or the closest US Embassy. Once you have that, this could be an option for you but not until then. Good luck and stay blessed!

I signed up with my 2 Years Green card, I was turned down when they said my GC is expiring in 4 months but they need 6 months, Tried to get the extension stamp but no luck ( since stamp is not designed for extending expiring 2 years GC). I waited to apply for 10 years GC and got the receipt back, stating that my GC is extended for 18 months for processing. Army will accept that receipt notice. But my reserved job is no longer there, so basically just waiting for the job to pop up again. So folks with 2 years GC, get your self in early. don't wait.

I’m going to ship out on September 27th 11x mos. I’m 28 years old and I’m not sure i did a right choice but I’m happy to protect my family and my country. As a south korean (previous) i do have military experience. I hope that helps me lol

#TeamSwartz, As always needed and great info! I just want to add one thing. It might be obvious but some people still might don’t know… after you earn your citizenship you must be treated like any other US citizens, meaning your can apply for any security clearance that will require your desired job (military or civilian). If you are not getting treated as US citizen that considers as discrimination and you can fight for your rights! One more thing, when you earn your citizenship … don’t do ANY stupid stuff thinking that you are a citizen and will get away with everything… there is something called denaturalization! Be safe ✌️.

With the conditional green card, you cannot renew it until you have less than 90 days left on it, either. But as soon as you have the receipt that they have received the payment for it, you get an automatic one-year extension.

The 90 day rule doesn’t apply to you if you get divorced. Once you get divorced on a conditional green card, you can apply to get your conditions removed anytime after that.

@@TEAMSWARTZ leaving early October for BCT! So you won’t see much of the incognito flamingo after this month, but I’ll support ya right up through my ship date! Spending a lot of time hunting this month though, hiking around in the woods/mountain with a heavy pack can’t hurt my chances of being successful for BCT I assume! Also, I got the Oakley boots you recommended, but they aren’t waterproof it turns out! I’m worried they won’t do well during AIT because of this. Do you have boots you’d recommend for field days, that I could bring to AIT and be successful in, in all weather? I’ll be at Fort Sam Houston in tax for 9 weeks of 68W AIT utilizing the CASP. Should be there after holiday exodus, so sometime early January to mid March I assume. Growing up in the mountains, I know the importance of taking care of your feet! There’s got to be waterproof boots, yeah?

@@incognitoflamingo869 Hey there and thank you so much for all your support! I’m excited and stoked for you! Unfortunately, none of our boots are water proof. Aerosol cans are considered contraband during initial entry training but thereafter you can get a can you can spray onto your boots that will assist in repelling water off your boots. Just carry a set of dry socks on field days to swap out as needed.

I think certain countries should access to an easier route, like Ireland and US have a relationship like no other, we’ve even got a U.S. Pre clearance in our airports and allow military planes to land here yet we get treated the same as any other country when trying to join

I subscribed to your channel because you are a wonderful, frank person who knows everything, so my question is: I am 39 years and 11 months old, and my desire to join the army is that I want to be promoted to become an officer, but when I asked and read on the internet pages, I found that the last rank for a volunteer is conscript 9. This means I will serve in the army up to 9 levels as a conscript, and I will not obtain the rank of officer, and this is what saddens me and despair has settled in my heart. I do not care about the advantages of the army or its salaries, but what is most important to me is career advancement and obtaining the rank of officer. Thanks a million for Subscribing and Welcome to my TS Squad! Unfortunately, you have to one, be a U.S. Citizen in order to be an Officer in the U.S. Military. The Age Cutoff to applying for and becoming an Officer is 34yro for Federal OCS (Regular Army & Reserve) but the National Guard has a State OCS Option but you must commission by 41yro. You’re not going to make the cutoff time frame to meet the eligibility standards unfortunately. You’re also going to need an Age Waiver to join as well. So unless you’re willing to be a regular soldier and not an officer, joining the Army won’t be an option for you. Unfortunately you must be residing or living inside the USA. If you’re in your country, you cannot join and you also need to obtain U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card. Visa’s wont work. You need at least a green card when you obtain your U.S. Permanent Residency Status. Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately You’ll need to go through immigration to obtain a Green Card (permanent resident card) and I cannot help in anyway. I have a couple of friends that served in the army and they told me that they met plenty of inmigrants serving in the army, people that crossed illegally to the us or got here with a tourist visa and stayed, and that through the army they were looking to get citizenship, is this true ? Thanks !

If you have a green card now, you’re good to go and for the Army, you just need 6mo left before your currently issued green card expires at time of signing your contract to join. You’ll get your U.S. Citizenship for simply serving in the U.S. MIlitary… Thank you for watching and stay blessed! 🇺🇸🙏🏼

There’s over 150 MOS’s. Pass the ASVAB Test and your recruiter will provide a list of MOS’s your prequalified for. Essentially, as describe in my video, any MOS requiring a clearance or US Citizenship will be closed off to Green Card holders. Thanks for making this video, kinda bummed out that it seems i don't have many options, i've read the requirements to get a green card and at my age i probably wont' be getting one in time to join the military even if could get one to start off with. I'm a Mexican who grew up in the U.S. (Colorado to be specific), and my dream was always to join the military, don't know why, i just always though that serving your country as a soldier was the coolest and bravest thing someone could do. Unfortunately, my family and i had to return to Mexico when i was ten and since we were never legal or permanent residents (yes, we were inmigrants) we couldn't come back very easily. Now at my 25 years of age i still have the dream to be a soldier and i would take the chance in a heartbeat if i could serve in the U.S. military, probably a pipe dream at my age lol. Despite everything i'll stil try and find a way to serve even if i know a lot of the realities nowadays, it's kinda funny but since i grew up in the U.S. i feel a lot more Patriotism and Nostalgia to it than Mexico, but my desire to be part of the military has driven me to think very heavily in enlisting here in Mexico. P.s. I'm open to advice anyone has to offer.

@@TEAMSWARTZ I'm 25 and I'm currently living in Mexico. I don't have a green card, I'm actually in the process of getting a tourist visa for the U.S. and it's taking a long while. I've already read the requirements that would be necessary for a green card and i honestly don't think that at my age I'll be able to get one to enlist in the U.S. army. I couldn't definitely be wrong though, I'm probably not the smartest person in regards to U.S. processes.

You’ll need your HS Diploma or degree from your country to be translated in English if it’s not and evaluated. The recruiting command in a lot of occasions cover that cost but yes, your foreign education credentials can be used for joining. Good luck and best wishes!

Thanks for the video, if I join the army but I went to school abroad, do you think my education abroad will be recognized and does it really help me through the ranks or it’s no good

I join the National Guard 10 months ago with a green card (and GED hahaha). I just finished my AIT a week ago like a 68W. The process is "fast" and "smooth", I just did a couple of interviews for my "clearance" but nothing crazy. Now, your next video about getting the citizenship is something that I really need to see.

@@markell7158 is not a "security clearance" is just a "clearance" or something like that hahaha. But is just one interview if you have everything in order if not can be a couple of extra interviews. They just ask about your life in the USA, they check your passport and that's pretty much everything, for me was a cake.

Infantry is good to go for green card holders. Headed for meps next Monday nervous nervous nervous got my green card that expires 10 years from now I plan to get a different mos once initial contract is done so I can see in the future if mos I want is available, one of the reasons I wanna enlist to get help with the N400.top it off that takes so long and they don’t really move fast enough even when you say your enlisting in the military either that or you go and talk to the officer, can you switch jobs right when that contract is done? Do I talk to jag once I cross that path once I’m a soldier ? or should I hire a lawyer ? I mean I definitely by now know to fill out but once I’m in do you show your contract or ID? Or letter from an NCO?

Hi there, I joined the OK NG with a 2YR conditional GC, I was able to apply for citizenship without having the 10YR one before basic training. Rules changed about 3 months ago and now you can apply before you go to BT. Good luck
