Finally - The Rolex / Bremont / Kingsman Review
Finally, I get around to giving some thoughts on the Rolex Air-King 116900. But, as you'll see, there's a couple of other watches that guest star in this 'Rolex' review. Basically .. I discovered that owning a Rolex is much more about having a slice of the pie .. than it is about any specific model.
And Bremont make a rather damned fine watch that has become my daily wear.
Lots of thoughts and opinions, I hope you enjoy this latest foray into the madness that is my watch collection.

I think i watched this video back when you released it but watched again & it now makes a lot more sense!!! I was lucky enough to get 'the call' from my AD a few weeks ago & picked up my 1st Rolex timepiece (Submariner) & since then I've felt like......I'm done, I'm there, my collection feels complete, the final piece of the jigsaw is in place? The desire to keep looking for 'that next watch' has gone. I have tried on & want the Zenith Chronomaster Sport (white dial) but the urgency/ rush has faded, maybe I'll pick one up in the xmas sales 😂 Look forward to more of your videos 👍🏻

Congratz on the Sub. Yeah sometimes it is just possible to find that one watch which really satisfies. And that's ok. Enjoy it and have amny adventures with it. For sure there may yet be another watch in the future which will turn you head .. but for now, you can simply enjoy. Oddly enough I wear my Bremont a LOT more than my Rolex. The Rolex was the cherry on the cake. It signified the pinnacle of the collection. But the Bremont is the one that gives me the most amount of joy. But, it is good to have both. I'm currently working on the next video .. a review of the Bremont Kingsman. Still doing studio photography for it, but it's shaping up nicely. Thanks for enjoying my videos.

I agree 100% on the Rolex stuff . . . it is more about a piece of the Rolex legend than anything else. That said, the Tudor GMT root beer is such a perfect watch, so beautiful and yet manly. Yes, I am very envious of your GMT. I also enjoyed your rambling, quite fun to watch.

I'm glad you enjoyed my musings. I can't pretend to be a 'professional' at any of this .. but if managed to entertain as well as enthrall with watches then I'll consider that a job well done :D And for sure .. having now bought a Rolex piece I find that the 'insatiable' desire to own a specific model is largely gone .. and I find myself enjoying that Bremont Alt1-B much more as an actual daily wear piece. Though, it is nice to have the Rolex, or even that beautiful Tudor to wear. The Root Beer GMT is such a great piece and of all the pieces that could possibly come and go .. I expect that one to never leave. Thanks for watching and enjoying.

That air king is definitely the maximum size that would suit your wrist. Any bigger would begin to look rediculous. 38 or even 36 would be perfect.

I have the opposite problem .. any smaller than this looks ridiculous on me. But I do like the Air-King size.

Great video! In it you mentioned that you took your Air-King to your local watchmaker to verify if it's genuine. I live in Vancouver as well and am looking for a good watchmaker. Do you mind letting me know who you used? Thanks!

Indeed .. I went to Roldorf & Co. My local independent watchmaker. Jason, the owner, know's a whole lot about watches and you can rely on him to service your watch.
