Thank You for making my stitching so important to be ! When l was having so much trouble with my stitching ,you both made me feel it’s O.K. just keep going . You both made me feel everyone has those days , not just me . The two of you do such an incredible job with each of your floss tubes . I hope you both know what joy you bring to an old lady in California . I look forward to the the l get when your flosstube is on . God Bless both of you , Thank You for sharing your stitching with all of us .
You two make me miss NW Indiana! I have been to House of Stitches several times but now I order online occasionally since i am thousands of miles away. When we lived in Porter County years ago there were 3 LNS in Valparaiso which I haunted weekly (1990's). I love the fact that FlossTube has caused an explosion in stitching! Too bad Michael's and Hobby Lobby have pared down their stitching and supplies selections. 😒 Thank you for sharing your love of our craft.🥰
i love that you picked out a color that you belatedly realized was called for on the chart. So funny...nothing like doing more work Laura. That is so me! 🤣
Thank you Brenda and Laura for taking the time to do these videos. You ladies never disappoint, such beautiful stitching to see, so many patterns for tempting. Have a great stitching time ladies. Until we meet again on flosstube.
1:00:22 thank you both for the shout out for our Needle In A Haystack 25th Anniversary HATS Sarah Rinder 1841 exclusive. It’s such a lovely and unusual sampler design. We hope everyone enjoys stitching her.
I think I need Ann Pilgrim and Hemingway fabric!❤️. Properly enabled lol. I am so excited to get Nicolas birthday box, so glad you got it too!! Have a beautiful stitchy week.
Well ladies, I have binge watched every single one of your videos. I am now caught up to date. I have laughed, cried, been awed, been inspired and yes, very enabled! I will be making my annual trek to my LNS at the end of March. Don't have an H & H, but my LNS is The Attic. I limit myself to a yearly visit otherwise I'd be broke. Again, thank you both! You are the best!
An annual pilgrimage to the Attic!!!!!! That is so restrained!!!!! We like to get there about twice a year .... if possible. It is heaven on Earth! Thank you for watching our "show" and for your very kind comments!!!!! Have fun at market day at the Attic!!!!! Yipeeee! Thanks Karen!!!
Another happy Sunday watching you ladies while I sew. Laura, my mom calls it laguna too! 😂 I really hope you gals will do an unboxing of Nicola’s Letters from Europe. It sounds so lovely. Happy stitching! ❤
Hi girls!! Since I got home from Phoenix last Sunday, I am still so excited about going to the Attic. I have shown my haul to anyone who stands still longer than 30 seconds. Thank you both for the encouragement to step out of my comfort zone!! Both of you are amazing people and you mean the world to me. ❤ Marla
Always enjoy your sessions. I retired this past summer and have renewed my love of handwork; cross stitching, quilting, needle punch. Maybe more wool projects ...jack of all trades, master of none but fan of all! I'm new to all the close tube and goodies that are available now. Love seeing what kindred spirits are doing. I'm in central Indiana and attending my first cross stitch retreat this June !
So happy to hear that you will be attending a retreat this summer!!! You are going to have so much fun Kathy!!!!!! Sounds like you are really enjoying all those wonderful projects!
My needlepoint shop always packs my projects separately, including my threads that I buy for projects. Sometimes I still forget what the bag of floss is for 😂😂😂. Thanks for another great sharing as always.
Thank you for keeping the Hats box a secret for now! I'm eagerly awaiting mine. You should have seen me running into my husband's office exclaiming that I needed xx British pounds ASAP! He was like, "what is happening???" Happy stitching!
So glad you have one coming April!!!!! It is quite the event!!!!!!!! We will not show it on FT for quite some time to ensure that everyone has the thrill of opening each item in their own time at home!
Love seeing all the progress on your projects! So great that your box arrived from Nicola. Waiting for mine so will definitely make a cup of tea and go through it. I finished Mary Ann Preece by HATS in January, one of my birthday starts and it was so lovely to stitch. I also started Lucy Barber and the colors are AMAZING! I actually got 46 count and it is wonderful to stitch on. Could not pass up the NIAH sampler either. So many wonderful charts. Will get back to posting more on Instagram. Happy Stitching
Now that football is over for the season, you two are my favorite Sunday activity. I look forward to seeing all of the things that you are working on. Thanks so much for the shoutout about the project bags. I love making and sharing them. You two are such a joy to spend time with.
Thank you so much Gina!!!!! We love, love, love the project bags you made each of us! That was so very kind and generous of you!!!!!!!! Sending a big hug!!!!!!!!
Hi Laura, stitched with Carolyn again, she's a delight. I'm so glad she's coming to our meetups! I just my copy of Florence, the colors! The pattern. You're progress Brenda is just amazing! Oh Laura, that reaction you just had to "How now brown cow" is exactly the reaction I see when I "just can't", I must have it. My friends laugh at me, but it's a real thing - a visceral reaction and I feel you! 100%
Thank you for totally understanding that reaction Melissa!!! I am so so happy that Carolyn is coming to your meet-ups! She is such a dear friend and I am excited that she gets to experience the joy of hanging with other stitchers! Thank you for making her feel welcome!
Our daughter is in a Grad School at Michigan State. Her undergrad is from Central Michigan. I live near you girls. It’s all so sad and upsetting. 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼 Thank you for your sweet and kind videos. ♥️
Hi girls… I am one of those stitchers who has recently returned after many years .. and I am amazed how this craft has exploded and taken me super fast down the rabbit hole .. I think I even took the rabbit down the hole with me. Your stitching is amazing and so is your friendship . In the 80’s I completed Mirabella .. the Bride and Christmas Angel .. now loving Blackbird … yikes! Keep stitching
Love that scotty dog project bag Brenda, and yours too, Laura! You two always give me smiles and giggles, too! Thank you for making my day better! Of course, I love your stitching!!!
Brenda your Florence Dickinson is just stunning. After you mentioned that exclusive I went directly to the shop and ordered her! Now I’m just getting started adding samplers to my stitching but Martha Evans is going to be fun as your birthday SAL celebration and she is started🥳 yeah! And Laura like you mentioned I can buy Market releases during the next year instead of going squirrel here and there with each new IG post this month!! That being said, I did preorder Beloved and My Little Sampler by Sylvia because I’m in love with both of them😍 Have fun stitching with those lovely silks ladies and I’ll look forward to seeing what you share. Loved your birthday needle book with the initials all around Brenda❤️
Afternoon Brenda and Laura, you both are very lucky to get the red box, I did'nt it was sold out when I got oan the site... so so dissapointed this would have been a 70th birthday treat for myself... I will be stitching red samplers this week... I had a finish oan the 18th. The Catherine Archer Extract ...C.S.G. Sampler Collection. Stitched oan Polstitches Lamplight..... I am stitching oan The Red Ackworth Sampler. A Gathering of Samplers another from C.S.G. while visiting with you today... Together we count... Happy stitching... enjoy looking through that box...
You have a lot of great projects going Louisa!!!!!! We are wishing you a happy 70th birthday!!!!! You should buy several HATS charts to make up for losing out on the box! We are sorry about that!
It’s true, you are the luckiest stitchers in the world and we are all glad that you share your WIPS, finishes, what’s on your immediate radar and why have I not finished this Sampler??? It warms my heart to hear that because I have a few of those too and I figure if Brenda and Laura have WIPS like that it’s OK for me to to have them too!!!!!!! Great video, love you two!!, Hugs, Lynn
So nice to spend a Sunday evening with you two. Thank you always for the good cheer, friendship, and beautiful things you share. Now if only I could find myself a linen bib with floss hanging off it, like Laura has ;) Take care and happy stitching.
I recently had a major hip surgery and was laid up in bed and found your channel. I haven't been stitching very long and never a sampler but I've binge watched every single one of your episodes. Thank you! I look forward to your bi-weekly chats.
I am so glad you have Nicola’s birthday box. I didn’t try to order one. I hope in a future flosstube you will show us what’s in it. So many beautiful stitches! Thank you ladies!!
Thank you Marcia!!!!! Yes, we will show the contents of the box but want to make sure everyone who ordered has a chance to look at the stuff before we show it......your kind words mean the world to us. Thank you.
Brenda, you can do 56 count! I can and I am not the stitcher that you are, but I hope to grow up to be like you and Bettina!! Bettina is the fastest stitch I know that is why I want to be like her. I miss you both and love your Flosstubes! So inspirational for me!!
OMG!! I just figured out how to watch You Tube videos on our TV from phone. Duh…yours was the first video I watched today. So much easier to stitch and watch. Loved seeing all the stitching.
It is always such a joy to visit with both of you!!! I keep seeing Elizabeth Furniss and may have to start her! She is so gorgeous! New market stuff always gets us so excited! Thanks as always and happy stitching!
I saved your video to sit and watch on Monday morning! Your videos are always full of such beautiful things to see! Brenda, I love the Scattered Seed chart you are doing. I have two or three of her charts to stitch, there’s just not enough time in my day to do everything and I want to do them all right now!! LOL!
It’s so lovely to have a visit with you both. Seeing ‘Spring Messenger’ Brenda, I thought it would make a wonderful needle book. Thanks for that hint Laura about putting threads in labeled bags when buying. I too have threads set aside not remembering what they are for. I do have a note book that I write for ones that will come in the mail and not with a chart. Blessings and happy stitching.
I kept flipping back and forth between your video and instagram…trying to follow all of those amazing creators! Your sampler stitching is lovely and your conversation is endearing! ❤
Another wonderful video ladies! I loved seeing the 'closed' red boxes. I cannot wait until mine arrives!! My husband was so patient as we were at a very nice romantic valentines dinner while I worked on getting my red box 😂 Thanks for all the loveliness that you share!
Wow I enjoyed stitching along while watching you this morning! Brenda - I’m just finishing up Strawberry Faire and then I’m starting Spring’s Messenger, but now I need the robin and strawberry pin keep chart you got through the club! I’m on a robin kick! Laura - the clock chimed right on time when you started mentioning Market releases! Ha! Have a wonderful couple of weeks!
Another wonderful floss tube! It is wonderful to see your progress and what you will work on next. Thank you for inspiring me to reach out and challenge myself. I am going to try one over one, any suggestions?
Thank you Carolyn!!!! Suggestions for Over One Stitching: 1. Gird your loins! 2. Start with a lower count linen to make it a bit easier or do over one on 25 count evenweave. 3. Be patient. You can't go fast. 4. Gird your loins again.
I love watching you ladies. Such wonderful friendship and love for stitching! Brenda you are so lucky you got your box from HATS! I’m still waiting impatiently for mine and the Royal Mail hasn’t updated the status. I know they are having postal issues BUT I want my package! I digress. I recently informed my husband that I would love to go to The Attic! Fingers crossed I get there someday. Keep those videos coming! ❤
@@brendaandtheserialstarter2410 I got it! It was delivered on March 1st. Such lovely things inside! I can’t wait to start stitching! Will there be a SAL?
Izabela!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad that Brenda mentioned your Instagram account. I follow you, but sometimes when I see things that are so beautiful and that I love so much I become speechless! That is what happens when I see your posts! Oh my goodness...your stitching and photos are SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! You are an artist! Thank you so much for the beauty you put out in the world! We are both sending you a big hug!
I was only able to make it to the 2:32 mark on the video before I had to pause it. I've been watching your progress on Florence Mary Dickinson and I could not resist any longer. My grandmother who taught me xstich was a Florence Mary so I am going to stitch it in honor of her! As always, appreciate the enablement! 🙂
So excited when I saw you hold up the red boxes! I'm looking forward to receiving mine...whenever that might be! So many great projects, ladies! You inspire me. Thanks for another fun visit. (I'm UCD '79 - just missed you, Laura!)
The timing of the clock with Laura's comment about Market rolling around was perfect! So funny! And.... you received your Letters from Europe box at lightning speed...
Oh my gracious I almost had an H and H when you were showing the Hands Across the Seas boxes. I watch on my tv and I was grabbing my remote to stop the video or fast forward. I should have known you gracious ladies would not do a reveal. I totally and completely lucked out on getting one when I thought my order failed (long story). You two are so very inspiring!!!!
So happy to see that you received Nicola’s 60th bday box. Can’t wait to see what is in inside..if you reveal it…thank you for sharing all of your stitching. I really enjoy watching. Have a great week!
Great video Brenda and Laura! You both are always such an inspiration. Laura, you are going to love Elizabeth Garrod 1799 when you stitch it. It went super fast for me and was so fun just using one color. Have a great couple of weeks! I am excited to see what both of you end up deciding to get from market. I am being very discerning as well this year. However, the Stacy Nash previews came out this weekend and now my budget might be expanded a bit because I was having an H and H over them😍
Brenda, as I sat down with my current stitch which is the Spring Messenger , like yours,I realized after seeing yours that I totally reversed the colors on my Robin ! Duh ! I was stitching the top portion in the orange color ! So thanks so much for showing that or who knows how long input would have taken me to see my mistake ! Lol. Happy Stitching to you both !💕
Oh say! Ladies…..stitching samplers is crazy addictive! Finished Mary Woodward and immediately started The Rose and the Giant Pear! Purchased the Dutch Sampler (my heritage is part Dutch and it’s my colors). And after watching Nicola I went and ordered the 25th anniversary sampler from Needle in a Haystack! Y’all enable me real good! Lol! ❤❤
Oh my gosh! I know you fly by the seat of your pants, but that cuckoo clock gets you every time 😂. Thanks for another fun Sunday of beautiful stitching and lots of laughs. It was quite something to see "the hern" happening live🤣. Have a great couple of weeks!
