Sounded like Morris but I believe that was actually 'Prince' he did a great 'Morrislike' voice, have you heard the out take from 'Crystal Ball' 'Cloreen Bacon Skin' amazing song, just Prince and Morris day (on drums) jamming, prince talks like that through the hold thing.
I don't know if you all remember the song called Tricky it was on the flip side of one of The Time's singles I can't remember which one. Prince talked like that on that record too
This is so amazing!! I am the biggest Vanity & Apollonia 6 fan in the world. I was the only 12 yr old girl in the world that wanted to be Susan Moonsie when I grew up. In 7th grade I put together my own version of the group (my best friend was a tall, white, blonde who happened to look very much like Brenda) and we did Blue Limousine in our CATHOLIC school talent show. We didn't wear lingerie, of course, but I styled us so cute...I even had a teddy bear. Great memories!! Please pass my condolences on to Brenda and anyone else in The Purple Ones camp!! I'm so sad but this story means so much. I'm so glad that they had an opportunity to reunite with Prince before he left us!! God bless you all...and "May U live 2C the Dawn!" #Prince4Ever
What an incredible interview. I have been wondering what happened to Brenda and Susan for so many years. I too was a big fan of Prince and Vanity 6. I will be mourning this year's losses of Vanity and Prince for a long time. I am glad that Brenda and Susan are still with us on this earth though.
What a cool story by Brenda on Prince . You can tell he loved kids and cared about her kid knowing all the music greats . I had a crush on all the women in Vanity 6 too , loved them .

Thanks for posting this. I got to see Vanity 6 perform in Detroit dduring the 1999 tour.....an amazing show. The ladies of V6 were really underrated. They had such a huge influence on those of us who were teens back then. There album was dope.
Good for you! I saw V6 perform @ Radio City Music Hall (NYC) during the 1999 Tour. Still have my 1999 tour t-shirt. I TOTALLY wish I had purchased a V6 tee.

None Ya Prince paid off all of Denise's (Vanity) debts/hospital bills. When she passed, he was told right before he went on stage and it was reported he was very sad. He went on stage and talked about her and I love his quote when he said they really loved each other and she knew she was the finest woman in the world and never missed an opportunity to tell you so. Lol. Prince had a lot of beautiful women but vanity is the only one that could ever give him a run for his money and he knew it in fact he named her vanity because he thought that she was equally if not more beautiful than himself. It's still Erie to me that they die within two and a half months of each other in the same year. The night she passed Tavis Smiley said they were on the rooftop of the hotel I guess a rooftop garden after the concert and he was a very reflective speaking about his own mortality. Only Prince could have a girlfriend and an ex-girlfriend in the same group and three women he's been with in the same movie maybe for if Apollonia was one of them because for years she said there was nothing between him but after he died she laid it to them being friends with benefits for a while. Still don't care for Apollonia because although she went to Vanity's funeral to her death she made fun of her when she talked about vanity saying she found the Lord Apollonia brought up her past drug use to make fun of her and her response about the lLord was I didn't know he was lost haha she's truly and ignorant ass person and I wonder if she ever made fun of Prince for his serious religious beliefs the bottom line is they were both saved and they are both resting peacefully in heaven I wonder if she will
When I was in high school me and 2 friends were going to do Vanity 6 in the talent show. Only issue they would not let us wear. LINGERIE😊..I was a huge fan.

@@gclark8228 I don't know where you got that info about Susan playing Vanity's part in Purple Rain.. it was ALWAYS Vanity. But when she quit, Prince found Apollonia to replace her..
It just came out that Prince gave Brenda and Susan 15k each a few days before he died. Apollonia too but she thought is was fake and didn't her bank info
I love this interview! I also love the original Vanity 6 lineup before Apollonia. Denise could NEVER be replaced as Ms. Vanity, so that was just a poor decision that was made at that time. Anyway, I really adore Brenda's vocals on “A Million Miles” and “Blue Limousine.” Again, interesting and entertaining interview!
The change was made for the movie cause Vanity had left the group and broke up with Prince. Appollonia never once try to say or act like she was replacing Vanity

Wow, yet another cool interview from the great Minneapolis past. Even better to hear all the love that was shown on all sides given the long time that had past. Great to hear Brenda and Susan remained close even though they were worlds away.

Great interview! 2016 was a SAD year for music lovers. Glad much of the purple camp is keeping Prince's legacy alive. Good to know many of his proteges seem to get along with each other even if they reunited under tragic circumstances.
at the beginning of the video I first thought it was The Voice from the woman's radio show but then I realized it was Brenda talking. talk about a fabulous radio speaking voice she should really consider taking that up as a career.
