@@mndsgn1 Owen was killed instantly, not injured. Darren Drozdov’s injury was the most tragic in the history of wrestling. His injury was so severe that it left him paraplegic for over 23 years.
I still truly think Shawn Michaels is still bitter and jealous of Bret imho..I watched WWF/WWE in the 90’s and I was always more of a Hitman fan then a HBK one..
Bret just knows greatness but honestly guys you gotta know this man was the most perfect wrestler ever just the very best Never hurt one performer in his whole career while at the same time making people who don’t deserve it look actually half decent It’s awful that we never had the full business impact of this legend
No, he isn't. He's a bitter old man and a sore loser. Wrestling is full of risks, people who get into that ring risk their life every single time. He needs to get over himself and move on with his life. Is he going to blame Goldberg for his sins, too, on Judgment Day? It wouldn't surprise me if he tried.
@@kennethculler1738 Taker also agreed to it though, everyone knew the risks. If you’ll blame anybody, blame the people who dangled money in their faces
Stranger: “Hey, Bret. Why do you think Disney is mishandling Star Wars ever since the acquisition?” Bret: “I don’t know man. I can’t forgive what Goldberg did to George Lucas and that franchise.”
@@kennethculler1738 Harley, Tracy Smothers, Tommy Dreamer, Mick Foley, Bret Hart, Steve Austin etc etc. Crazy that people still try to claim he was overrated when so many greats love his work.
It does suck that Bret was never able to have a actual full retirement match. The Vince match wasn’t really much of a match. Which he stated before he wasn’t allowed to do cause of his past heath. They even had to dial down and take out a lot the stuff used in that no holds barred match cause of the whole PG thing. I believe Bret could of went on in 2000 if no accident had occurred for a east another few years and like Bret said he could of retired the way he wanted on his own terms.
what does suck is that bret hart still whines about everyone. to this day he still hasn't gotten over the screw job thing with Shawn michaels, whines about Goldberg; whines about triple H. for fucks sake. enough already
@Phenomenal Ace How the hell do you know what Goldberg did wasn't permanent Damage and he was still Wrestling even though he was permanently damaged . I mean your no Doctor to say this was caused by Bret continued Wrestling even after the Goldberg thing
How can Brett ever have a proper send off when Fans will love him forever,,,,,,you might be off Camera but your memories are ingrained in our Brain..WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU BRETT
He would've done it pre-injury. Jericho was 20lbs lighter than Bret in his prime and had a few weeks of training near the Hart house with Bret's brother and he still made a fool out of Goldberg when they scrapped. Bret was strong, had an amateur background and knew how to wreck a guy in a fight well before 1974 thanks to school fights and bouncing his dad's wrestling gigs.
@@RG-lr4pk Yes. Jericho caught Goldberg in a headlock and made a fool out of him. Jericho literally leglocked him and slapped Goldberg until he asked him to stop. Bret would've been just as adept at making big brawny guys beg for mercy, though his holds would've hurt more
not really... he always leaves out the fact that HE HIMSELF is mostly the one to blame for it. not goldberg. Yes botches like this can happen. But he even said he warned him for the kick(bill told him he is going to kick him next. bret revealed that himself btw. in an interview) AND bret kept wrestling more intense matches after that and did not listen to the docs that he should take it easy for a while. The docs clearly told him that he makes it worse if he keeps going wrestling(that happened basically right after the goldberg thing). HE HIMSELF made the concussion worse and a career ending situation. especially at the match with Kevin nash after he received the powerbomb. thats when his head got fucked up totally. could have been easily avoided if he rested and cured for a few months.
@@MikedieONE Bullshit it was the people that put him in matches when he Wasn't medically cleared. You think a Coach or Owner would put in Football Player or Basketball Player that just had a concussion and wasn't medically cleared or Would the Boxing Association put a Boxer that has a concussion and not Medical Cleared in Ring
His match against a British Bulldog in Summerslam 1992 was legendary knowing the backstory behind it. Bret literally carried him the whole match, it was all Bret in control of everything and he made it look spectacular. Bulldog had been getting highly on crack and forgot everything that was supposed to happen on their match.
“Yeah, I could have done a better job with my lawn if Goldberg didn’t kick me in the head so many years ago. Ya know, I’ve never hurt anyone in the ring or on my lawn for that matter. If only the dude didn’t throw the kick…” pretty much
Bret hart is a goat for revitalizing the business. Made it look a million times better and workable while a million times safer. Truly transcended the business enabling better work and more money and longer careers. His bitterness can be a lot to hear but he just feels wronged when ironically what he revolutionized at being safe and legit, the polar opposite ended him
More wrestlers with AEW talk about Bret's influence and how great he was than in any other wrestling company these days. It's a shame Bret won't be going to AEW any time soon.
At present it's Brett that should be supporting the current wrestlers, not the other way round. Why ruin ur day bringing up painful subjects when like you said, Goldberg doesn't give a shit about the incident.
CM Punk is different class of human looking up to the man than made it all real. Bret and punk deserve more I still pray for the punk to get Bret as manger/idol
There’s a theory going around that it wasn’t the kick that did Bret in. In a match around that time maybe the same match, Bret does the figure 4 in the outside against the post and he drops down to the ground, they say it’s there, you can hear his head hit the ground and he wasn’t doing good after that.
He’s said it was 3 concussions in a row in that same match with Goldberg. First was a really stiff forearm that knocked Bret loopy, then was the figure four on the post where Goldberg didn’t hold Bret’s leg when he went to apply it so his head hit the floor hard. And the final concussion was obviously the kick which I think the smaller wcw ring had something to do with it.
@@UFCWWE69 wow I never heard about the first concussion and Bret saying 3 happened in that one match. It makes sense. Man I really can’t stand Goldberg. Only time I liked him was his and Brock’s second feud
another Bret bitter Hart fan... It's Bret Hart fault for not taking time off and continuing 8 more matches, can't put all the blame on Goldberg... at least Austin did the smart thing by taking time off because of Owen breaking his neck... Most legends said Goldberg was safe and accidents do happened Even Ric Flair said Goldberg was safe to work with and that he was WCW'S greatest champion and he did infact said it on his wooooo uncensored nation talk show broadcast and this is a guy who started in 1972 and knows the business inside and out of the ring and did say everyone gets hurt for it's a very dangerous sport... Now this is the guy who had a major problem with Goldberg in the beginning of their career who had him on Y2J'S talk show when he interviewed Goldberg and what surprised me is when Goldberg asked a personal question to Chris... " Chris did I ever hurt you?" Jericho's response was " NO"... Oh yeah sure Goldberg hurts people Bull S... Goldberg never hurt anybody except what happened to Bret Hart and it was accidental and at least did apologized multiple times... Give the guy a fkn break.. Another thing I've seen every single match of Goldbergs since he started back in September 1997 and he did not only do just the spear and jackhammer but he did had done a tremendous different moves, theirs even a video of Goldbergs 35 top Wrestling moves and 48 Wrestling moves that Goldberg did during his entire Wrestling career... Now with the time limit for him was set by WCW and it was their idea not Bill's... They wanted a character who was fast quick and unstoppable dominate monster because their Ratings were not that good since they were at a competition war Against WWE and when they created this idea, it brought millions of viewers and sold tickets helped their Ratings go through the roof and it worked... again I've seen him did more than a 5 minute match especially a one on one match against Ogawa and the time running was over 11 minutes...
Okay Bret we get it! How many times has Goldberg apologized to you? I do believe they even made a segment with you and him on Thunder! Bret let it go!!!!
He's bitter & jealous. Eric was right when he said he has to be angry at someone all the time. The moment he forgives one person, he moves on to being angry at the next. How tf can't you just be happy for Austin & Goldberg.he has to throw himself in there, constantly.
Not to mention Bret got to retire in his 40s as a multi-millionaire and lives a relatively comfortable life, maybe his wrestling dreams weren’t completely fulfilled but he won the rat race of life. Bitterness is still being in your late 60s or even 70s working construction like a lot of guys I’ve known.
@@mikeg2491 I think he does it to get the wrestling nerds sparked up because he knows that they will agree with everything he says especially if it’s against SUPERSTARS that these 5 star wrestling nerds don’t approve of
I really respect bret and his career but he is still a sooo bitter about it and blaming Bill for everything. he always leaves out the fact that HE HIMSELF is mostly the one to blame for it. not goldberg. Yes botches like this can happen. But he even said bill warned him before the kick(bill told him he is going to kick him next "watch out for the kick!". bret revealed that himself btw. in an interview) AND bret kept wrestling more intense matches after that and did not listen to the docs that he should take it easy for a while. The docs clearly told him that he makes it worse if he keeps going into the ring(that happened basically right after the goldberg thing). HE HIMSELF made the concussion worse and a career ending situation. especially at the match with Kevin nash after he received the powerbomb. thats when his head got fucked up totally. could have been easily avoided if he rested and cured for a few months.
Just to be clear, Goldberg did not end Brett harts career Bret Hart ended Brett Hart’s career by continuing to work for weeks and not see a doctor and they’re supposedly being kicked in the head by Goldberg. Brett hart has nothing good to say about anybody is constantly living in Pity city
I like Bret and I agree with most of his takes. But the question was about CM Punk praising him and he is talking about getting injured by Goldberg. Yeah, it sucks what Goldberg did, but he wasn't even the topic.
Goldberg really robbed us of Bret vs Angle. I swear to god wrestling wouldn't be any different if he never had a career. WWE beat WCW with him there and he didn't really move the needle when he joined the former. It is what it is though. Just glad Bret's healthy.
He needs to let that go bill goldberg apologize time after time for years and he still holds that on him it's been so many wrestlers who got kicked in the head on accident it happens wrestlers botch all the time let it go please life to short to hold grudges Bret let it go brother
Many legends said Goldberg was safe to work with even Ric Flair was speaking on his Wooooo Nation Uncensored Podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair was asked whether Goldberg was safe to work with. Flair stated that he still thinks Goldberg is a safe worker despite concussing Bret Hart. “Well, to me he was very safe. I have been kicked in the head by him too.Jan 6, 2022 but only Bret said he wasn't but the truth is he was it was just that on incident kick but what's also the truth, Bret Harts career wasn't ended by Goldberg, Eric Bischoff explained what truly was leading to Harts career ending... It was Bret who took it upon himself when he had a hardcore match and during the match he hit his head pretty hard on the concrete ground and continued to do more matches, not the kick from Goldberg for that is not the main cause... After Goldbergs match with the accidental kick was on December 19, 1999 than a rematch against Goldberg for the title on Dec 20, 1999... Next day a match against Chris beniot on Dec 21, 1999 next match against Jerry Flynn on Dec 27, 1999 next a PPV hardcore match - against Terry Funk on Jan 4, 2000 next four more matches against Sid Vicious on Jan 6, 7, 8, 9, 2000 and finally his last match against Kevin Nash on Jan 10, 2000... But puts all the blame on Goldberg? C'mon man, lets be for real here... so it was the hardcore match what was leading to end his career because he kept on getting hurt by continuing to do more matches... so this cannot be the blame on Goldberg... Goldberg did constantly apologized multiple times and he he did think of Bret everyday... according to Ron Simmons Scott Steiner Rick Steiner Booker T Edge Christian Vince Mcmahon Curt Hennig Bobby Heenan Sid Vicious Arn Anderson Diamond Dallas Page ( Kevin Nash on and off with Goldberg ) Lex Luger Sting The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin Brock Lesner Ric Flair John Cena Randy Orton The Undertaker Triple H Shawn Michaels Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff said he is one of the greatest because if he wasn't NONE of these guys would support him and say he is... Even Stone Cold Steve Austin said so on the Broken Skull plus he supported him and was right beside him during the 2003-04 era.. that's why He's in the Hall of Fame... Even the Rock loves Goldberg and it was him who got Goldberg to change his mind to come to the WWE in 2003 to make a new era and for Goldberg to be the main character since the Rock was leaving to continue his acting career and decided to play as a heel and Goldberg as the new WWE hero... The truth also is, If Goldberg was an unsafe and unprofessional wrestler, they would have ended His Wrestling career and no longer be rehired back into the business and or even brought back into the business in the year 2016... The fans know what actually happened to Bret Hart... For example Goldberg asked Jericho personally on Y2J's talked show when he interviewed Goldberg and Goldberg asked, " Chris, did I ever hurt you" and Chris's response was, "no"... Said the person who had a problem with Goldberg in the beginning of their career Here are Goldbergs 35 plus three extra moves that he had done in his Wrestling career... 1. Back body drop. 2. Dragon screw leg whip. 3. Spinning back kick. 4. Diving clothesline. 5. Electric chair drop. 6. Gutwrench suplex. 7. Firemen's carry slam. 8. Clothesline. 9. Sidewalk slam. 10. Full nelson slam. 11. Belly to belly suplex. 12. Corkscrew dropkick. 13. Drop kick. 14. Spinebuster. 15. Belly to belly sideslam. 16. Big boot. 17. Shoulder block. 18. Scoop powerslam. 19. Crossarm breaker. 20. Front scoop powerslam. 21. Snap swinging neck breaker. 22. Kneebar. 23. Leg trapped spinebuster. 24. Avalanche gorilla press lam. 25. Superkick. 26. Gorilla press slam. 27. Gorilla press drop. 28. Gorilla press front scoop powerslam. 29. Headlock/underhook suplex. 30. Powerslam. 31. Pumphandle overhead suplex. 32. Gorilla press spinebuster. 33. Gorilla press power slam. 34. Spear. 35. Jackhammer. Bonus... 1.hip toss. 2. Kneedrop. 3. Judo takedown... Theirs a video on youtube of Goldbergs 35 top Wrestling moves Theirs another video of Goldbergs 48 Wrestling moves but the 35 are his best Oh can't forget the head smash ring bar move..
@@Eyyubid_Kurdish I know that's pretty messed up, I mean c'mon man he would constantly getting hurt and what's also messed up is, Owen Hart never apologized to Austin for breaking his neck and almost had his career ended and not even Bret didn't care either... But the smart thing is, at least Austin took time off to get full recovery but Bret never did so it's his fault not Goldbergs...
@@JoseMorales-wv7eh True I agree 👍 Like Hardcore Holly if you have low pain tolerance when you shouldn't go to wrestling and wrestling is scripted but injuries are real and are more deadly than MMA , UFC and Boxing Bret Hart is a bitter crybaby always whining and complaining and CM Punk is even worse than him , CM Punk is Bret Hart Guy and interview in AEW he crying because Goldberg accidentally kicked Bret Hart eye
@@Eyyubid_Kurdish yeah really, I even notice that Bret not only haves a grudge against Goldberg, but he haves problems with mostly everybody...- Sid Vicious says Bret Hart was overrated while Shawn Michaels was underrated.
@sadmouse1049 It seems as if it's doing him a lot of emotional harm on a continuing basis. If you watch interviews from him a year or so after it happened he doesn't seem so bitter. He's got more bitter as time has gone on. It's doing him harm and it can't change anything. It happened. He needs to try to move on for his own good.
@sadmouse1049 yeah he has. Not to mention his brother dying as a result of wrestling. He's had a tough hand dealt to him in the last 25 yrs. I loved watching him growing up. He was great.
@Sad MOUSE goldberg did apologize tho wat more u want? It’s wrestling injuries happen, its not ballet. Bret is just salty and envious u can tell by that 3 million $ comment he made
Bret always take digs at Goldberg, Goldberg apologize and he's accepted it but your still dissing Goldberg. Bret had multiple injuries before the kick and Bret should of put his hands up
Are you a Wrestler do you know how they do the stuff in that ring . because unless you are then you don't know shit about how they protect themselves in there
i love bret, but dude chill out about golderg bro, bret hart is acting like goldberg purposely kicked him, he says that people are making 3 million a year in saudi arabia BUT BRET YOU LITERALLY WENT TO WCW FOR 3 MILLION A YEAR
Jesus Christ I love Bret Hart but it's 2022 and for his own sake I'd like to see him move on. I love his Forrest Gump impression at 2.00. Guaranteed however that it won't be all he's got to say about that.
Bret we want to see you in a match a proper match but please don't ever do a Saudi Arabia match for $3 million. You'd bury your career just like how Bill did it for you
If I could use the Infinity Gauntlet, I'd Snap Goldberg out of existence and bring back Bret. His Career was Cut Short because of 1 Careless Move from an OVERRATED Jackass.
