The genuine emotional smile when Bret came on screen. I love hearing Punk talk about how much he adores Bret!! He genuinely loves him as not just a mentor but a friend!
Like he said his in ring chem with perfect was amazing. Bret definitely misses perfect and Rick rude he mentions them a lot and always says he wishes he could’ve talked to them again
Curt Hennig said in his promo before the Summerslam 1991 match that Bret was the Excellence of Execution. He never gave anyone else respect like that in his promos.
@HidanVenom Oh I see! 😅Also, actually Aquarius is an air sign not a water sign (the name kinda confuses it up, true) But it's alright, Aquarius are supposed to be one of the, or if not the most intelligent/unique minds :)
I remember when punk was heel as fuck and got in Brets face while his attire was inspired by Brets attire. Shows that punk was playing heel on tv but in his mind was absolutely happy to be in Brets presence and showing him tribute with his attire. 💓💀💓
Bret Hart could draw money fighting anyone, and with very little story line and make it compelling. CM punk was a one man booking team, he made angles on the fly and they were better than anything creative had. All time legends!
For all the real hate that Bret and Shawn had for each other, there is still that in ring respect that they both know how good each other was in the ring.
and even though Shawn said he wouldn't do the same for Bret when Bret tried to mend things, they still protected each other in the ring. Nobody got hurt.
Bret's correct about *Mr. Perfect.* I saw them have a mind-blowing 35 minute match in my home town. From the ring of the bell ALL 15 thousand of us *cheered for them BOTH equally.* They were both *visibly* shocked by this at first but it lit a fire under them both. I have seen them before together on TV but NEVER this good. It was incredibly fast paced while still telling a story. It was one of those *rare moments wrestlers talk about* where *they & the audience are truly connected.* It should have been recorded by WWE but no cameras at all.
Bret Hart was the biggest superstar in the world during the 90's he was absolutely huge, Vince was out of his mind turning him heel in the states then letting him go a few months later
I learned over the years that Bret was not actually big headed and full of himself he was 100% correct every time which is crazy when you look back he actually walks you through and shows you why he was what he was…….Perfect wrestler all round
Yeah same here. For the longest time I thought he took himself way too seriously, but take one look at modern wrestling, and I'd give anything to see more wrestlers with that mindset.
He kind of did Steve Austin wasn't getting better facing savio Vega and Bret Hart always commented on getting new guys in if you remember the pro wrestling magazine.
@@mikeshadez Oh, without Bret, Austin might not even make the main event and Austin probably knows that, it was borderline. Even if Austin's character was awesome and his promos were excellent.
@@Oliver_T_03 Bret deserves A LOT of the credit. I just laughed about this vid, he's like "How do I admit, without my support, Austin might not make the top of the card without coming off like an egomaniac?" LOL
I love the new generation era Bret Hart Shawn Michaels and the undertaker was my childhood favourites especially Bret Hart his on my top 10 best matches twice, cm punk was my favourite in the universe era him Daniel Bryan and John Cena, cm punk has so good there endings are similar I wish he comes back soon.
Punk has so much respect for guys likr ricky steamboat Dean melenko dusty rhodes bret hart Steve austin Thay whenever he talks about them we can sense that fanboy under him I love how humble he was And he always respected elders and pros That's best part of punkboy❤
This is great. Two legends from different eras sharing stories. It’s clear that Punk holds Bret in high regard and has a lot of respect for him. Bret is certainly a worthy inspiration for any aspiring wrestler.
CM punk is a true legend in his own right , and to see his as a fan of the hit man and the compliments he gave Brett was well spoken .. And I will say CM is a tremendous in ring performer and just as great on the mike .. CM has some of the best promos , I have watched some of them many times and they never get old .. Would had loved to see them two have a match if it could ever had happened .. It probably would had been one of them all time greats as well because both of them are truly professionals ...
The "I accept the challenge of the best wrestler in the WWF" quote always seemed to me at the time more as a storyline jab to Shawn Michaels who was the WWF Champion, yet Bret as a character would not recognize him as being the best in the WWF or even that great and Austin was better.
If you’re a pro wrestler with a passion for it, getting complimented like this by Bret Hart is like Wayne Gretzky complimenting a hockey player from today. I don’t think you can get higher praise. Phil Brooks is a hugely talented guy. I think at this point he’s a little bit past his prime like Bret was in WCW, but also like Bret, he still has a lot to give, both in and out of the ring. He’d be stupid to turn heel though. In 1997, fans were ready for a heel Bret Hart. I don’t think they’re ready for a consistent heel CM Punk. In rare instances like Long Island and he’s dissing MJF, it works, but generally, people want to pop like crazy for him. If he times his heel turn correctly like Bret did in ‘97, it could be brilliant. Nobody has pulled off being a heel in one country and a babyface everywhere else like Bret did. That was awesome. And he told the truth. That’s the best part.
I don't have many memories of my brother. But the best one I do is when Bret beat Yokozuna for the world title at WrestleMania X. We almost jumped through the roof.
Punk has such a great mind for the business. Anyone smart enough can see punk crafting the perfect questions for Bret to cultivate the perfect long form and in-depth answers about interesting and topical things in his career. He would make a fantastic interviewer after he retires
It was clear to me that the Hollywood Blondes were heads and tails better then any other tag team around them. Just solid workers with elite mic skills
they tried to make punk and cena as the new bret and shawn co-faces of the company you see how vince tried to screw punk but cena didn't allow it to happen
Goldberg's boot:..... fuck that. To be fair to Bret and anyone else he worked with, even bergy wergy , He got good matches with/out of them. Also he's never denigrated Shawn's capabilities as a wrestler.... it was his shitstick personality Bret and others had issues with.
Yes 2 wrestling family legends from two borders ... instead we got bret vs malenko ... eddie vs bret or even brdt in a retirement match vs uponconing punk. ..
I allways thought summer slam 92 was his best match (and he lost itand still came out looking great) , I'm bias mind Bulldog was my hero. Also his matches with Owen. Suprised he doesn't say Owens name with Steve,Kurt and Shawn being best he'd worked with.
WWF (censor this). Original wwf "charity" is so corrupted and irrelevant that it's a fn shame. For me WWF always will remain World Wrestling Federation. WWE doesn't work for me.
