Anyone who can articulate their thoughts in a sentence without stumbling, speaking fluently without using fillers words like Bret does, deserves your attention to at least listen!
Actually it's a basic skill acquired by shysters, demagogues and confidence men for millennia now - to sound a lot smarter than they are and persuasively convince people they are worth being listened to. Bret Weinstein is full of s/-/it. He's a covid denying, ivermectin promoting, conspiracy pushing con artist who has thrived in the bro-podcast circuit, where he's never challenged on any of his ideas.
I disagree, there are many people with a silver tongue that speak eloquently and have evil intentions. Take what is said and think about it critically for yourself. It’s also more important to look at their actions than their words.
I just love your work! Fantastic truths and revelations!Deep gratitude! I would love to see you interview Daniel Liszt - Dark Journalist, Ben Davidson - Suspicious Observers and Gigi Young -spiritual teacher, author and psychic archeologist. Thank you for your consideration of these great enlighteners for your programs. I think you will find their work worth while and invaluable to our quest. Good cheer and smiles on you!💖
Sam Harris is the perfect example of that intellectual you referred to earlier. The kind that rationalizes his argument to himself and the masses - sounding as if he makes sense to those who cannot think critically. He is the epitome of the sort of 'expert' we all need to distrust.
Sam's quest to make sense of everything has ironically led to nonsensical ideas. Much of life does not make sense and will never make sense. If I told a joke, Sam would likely try to examine why humans laugh instead of just laughing. I do think Sam is expressing more humility lately and I would like to have him on this podcast.
Bret and Heather are perfect examples of intellectuals he referred to earlier. Unless they’ve recanted their original views of October 7 and apologized for such and have been making reparations as such as best they can. Sadly, I don’t think that’s the case. Seems like they’ve allowed their cultural background to bias their views on a very clear cur case of authoritarian atrocities against innocent people. Ah yes, and see their probable connections to Peter Thiel. They are not to be trusted.
1:38:00 - I’m shocked it took this long for me to tear up. Everything said in this interview is exactly how I feel about Bret and Heather keeping me afloat during all of this. Thank you so much for this content. Beautifully done. 😊
I’m a massive admirer of Bret and Eric Weinstein. Endless wisdom and inspiration to observe, learn about/from make sense of, respect and engage the world on uncompromisingly authentic terms. This is one of Bret’s most important commentaries yet - and credit to the show’s host whose name I do not yet know - an error I’m likely to correct as soon as I click the subscribe button. Click.
It was interesting to notice the young man's face from the beginning of his interview with Bret. He was definitely on guard, initially, then he melted. I subscribed, too.
Great podcast. I always love listening to Bret. I’m about 54 minutes in and had a thought on the part of the conversation about regulation of the self with all of the easy dopamine out there. The one issue here that isn’t talked about in my opinion is the state of our health. Approximately 60% of the US has one or more forms of chronic health issues. This in and of itself can greatly impact self regulation, especially when in a state of chronic pain, making it a lot more likely to reach for things like porn, drugs, alcohol etc… so while I think advocating for self regulation is a worthy cause, it might actually be futile until we sort out our health. Or as Daniel Smachtenberger might argue, all the problems are intertwined, and you cannot solve one without solving the other.
This was great! Bret Weinstein is an under recognized observer and commentator on the current state of affairs, and his field of work makes him very credible to comment on what is gong on! Great sense of humor too
Most respect to Bret, After Skool and Before Skool. I admire Bret's ability to explain things so well. I have never been able to communicate my thoughts properly. Ever. I'm a dummy and I always understand what you're talking about. Your concern for the entire human race is undeniable and greatly respected by me and many others. Thank you guys for keeping it real and for sharing the knowledge!
Actually the movement Bret mentioned - the one which he was expecting from gen z - has already begun. It is right here and also scattered across social media.
They didn't lose round 1, they accumulated more wealth and resources than anyone could've imagined. Now its a matter of what they do with those resources...
I love your content man, and truly appreciate your hard work. Your afterskool channel has made a big impact on my life so me and my wife look forward to each coming episode. It give me strength to keep going on this journey we call life and look forward to what comes after. God bless you
Hello! I’m a new fan of your channel, I’m a retired defense engineer and I saw this video had Bret on it he’s one of my favorite people and .. wow, young man you are an intelligent person and I loved the video! Thank you look forward to catching up on some more of your videos
talks about many topics, so many wisdom! Thank you!!! We all need true freedom, and freedom from any type of tyranny and at the same time maintaining the rights of of other humans, animals and the planet wisefully! with freedom and love everyonee 😊😅❤
Thank you ❤ for fulfilling your destiny. I love After Skool , and I’m thrilled that you’ve now started this podcast. I love Bret and Heather too. This was such a beautiful, profound conversation. My sense was that you both learned some things. I’ve watched some of your other podcasts (haven’t gotten to all of them yet), and they were amazing too. I admire your work and your character.
Brett you can still develop habits of placing objects in set places at any stage of life. Once your subconscious has learnt to do it (ie habit is formed) you will be able to do it without even thinking. If you can still learn anything you can form new habits. Commit to one new habit a month and in no time you will be making both your and Heather’s lives so much more easy and enjoyable.
There are professions that required degree(s) and licensure. It’s impossible to do what a person love and have a talent in to pursue further. Not to mentions others factors. I agree, having a high degree doesn’t mean the person is an effective teacher. Just alone, The process of learning (from the student) and knowledge transferring (from the instructor) so to speak occurs in many steps often time goes unknown.
I wish the entire human population would watch this and understand that society IS already falling down these horrific rabbit holes they will not be able to climb out of if they keep going the way it has been... it's scary to he a part of

His fiancé is 100% correct. It's been encouraging - to only recently - notice these younger women who want respect instead of popularity on RU-vid. Not all women are confident, or strong, enough to not exploit their sex appeal.
First of all, great channel. As for human relationships, this one really struck a chord and has made me question my whole way of life. That said, I feel I will likely still take the easy route of an artificial partner eventually.
Great video! There is a good short vid on RU-vid detailing Yuri’s principles of demoralization as its currently happening. As I believe, it’s not a “Russian” theory that has almost collapsed us, but the actual spirit of Marxism and communism that travels around the globe, Russia just happens to be its first victim.
I disagree... It is capitalist ideology that has infected us, not communism. Just look around at the powerful institutions. They are all very unequal with insane amounts of power and wealth at the top. The idea was stolen by capitalists IMHO. And it worked Hence the inability to really criticize capitalism in mainstream forums
Thank you for an excellent talk 🌿 I think E M either protect you Bret for a speciell work beacuse yor are bright, in soon future or maybe you are a treth for his purpuses just now. 🌿🍀🔥
Hi Mark, I love your work, and I'm only now seeing the face behind the brilliant After Skool channel. I'm happy to see you're doing podcasts and I'd love to have you on mine to get your story out to people. Let me know if you're interested and feel free to decline. Happy holidays
They need to be submersible for storms. Sheets with ballast like buoys on retractable tethers that are just the right size for practicality. Don’t think too large in size, we could have them like flower bunches.
Interesting conversation - thanks for hosting! In regard to future guest, try Peter Joseph the mind behind the Zeitgeist films and movement. But to get the most out of a conversation with him, I suggest you do your research about him and his work first (if you are not familiar with him already). Cheers!
People as living mammals in need of resources will OFTEN seek out and climb 🪜 the resource gradient of least resistance. Although likely not the original source, nevertheless a quote paraphrased by the good Professor here, I believe.
Waves of abnormal principalities, thought and behavior, ie the seven deadly sins, will keep us all on our toes of sanity. The power of influence of the fittest of the greatest minds will ensure survival of the consciousness of the right, granting both the leader and the followers the freedom to choose the better, for all. The heartless cannot be allowed to win.
Mr. Weinstein, Thanks for your explanation of climate change on “Before Skool.” I think your reflective panel solution is elegant, but possibly unnecessarily expensive. May I humbly suggest a cost-effective equivalent? Highly reflective large “air mattress” shaped balloons that will alter the albedo fraction at will with simple air pumps that use the free surrounding air and solar power (logically present or else reflecting wouldn’t be needed) to inflate them when reflective surface area is required, then deflate them when it is not. They additionally could float on small lakes, conceivable on the ocean surface, be placed over unusable land, or be harmlessly inflated over industrial and commercial structures to maximize available surface area without encroaching on the needs of other projects. Is there an obstacle in this that I am not seeing, other than those common to any solution? I’m not an engineer or scientist, but I humbly submit this approach. P.S. You and your brother are a tremendous inspiration to me intellectually and ethically.
Weather and maintenence would be an issue I think. Plus the energy to inflate or deflate potentially. Just look up MEER Reflection Project. They've been working on this for years out at Harvard. Dr Ye Tao is the director. It's literally the only sensible solution I know of. How Bret doesn't mention them is beyond me
AI can't do RRR (Recursive Relevance Realization), and we're decades away from THAT; PLUS, the Machines MUST be mentored properly; ALSO, the mere LLMs WHICH they are - ONLY employ Propositional Knowing, WHICH is a very thin shallow 🥘 Way of Knowing, as opposed to Participatory, Perspectival, Procedural, & Representational Ways ✨🤯 of Knowledge and Knowing ~ WHICH are far more robust, thick, effective, hearty, engaging, & memorable methods and means for Educing (Greek for drawing out, putting in), Learning 📚, Teaching 📖, Schooling, & Education 🏫🎒 ~ AND these MUST be made the Basis for bringing up young pupils, techniques THAT must again be remembered, recovered, refurbished, and re-instated ~ in order to enliven, enthrall, encourage, etc. Our precious youths, our most sacred resource in society, culture, and civilization. Period. Full stop 🛑.
Academia these days self selects for those who 'belong'. I am all in favor of these new universities that are opening, and steering students towards places like Hillsdale - which are at least honest about their point of view.
Brett, what you said about academics not knowing how to teach and research playing to the next chunk of money makes my heart so very sad. Can it really be true?
It’s obvious, Jordan Peterson has made this statement as well , the corruption is way too infiltrated to correct the educational institutions of today , there is literally one college left that is not corrupted and they are Hillsdale. And public schools they are so fucked no one should be sending their kids to one. We need to start opening new schools and universities that have NO LEFTIST COMMUNIST poison in them
1:52:02 Maybe we are so absurd because we are so bad at having structures that transform us into the opposite, especially in regards to enlightment, skills and health. Maybe we should practice and focus on that a little more.
War is a cultural phenomenon. What I mean is that you can create or sustain the conditions for war just as you can create and sustain conditions for peace. Humans can be coerced and conditioned to accept either situation as being 'normal', through socialization, education and the infrastructure that is in place. Although research and experience indicates that humans are averse to killing and prefer peace rather than war no matter.
@petrospetroupetrou9653 yes, those are key topics, both culturally and psychologically for narcissism, and physics with time as a singular variable. He talks a lot about culture too. I don't agree with everything but always walk away thinking
Do you believe body count doesn’t matter to men that can provide a good lifestyle and support a wife and kids when he chooses a wife to marry? A good catch with have many options of women wanting the settle down and cant imagine a woman with an online past in selling porn isn’t detrimental .
@@laurenedson7625 no, no, I agree with you. I'm just amused at Bret's take on this, as if this behavior is something new or unexpected. This is just women acting like women. The difference is that now this is all done in the open.
A significant potential issue with covering large areas of the ocean at the equator is what affect it would have on ocean currents. Maybe some over coral reefs would help protect them from bleaching but some light is needed.
That’s why genocide is so evil it also remove the knowledge of the history of a peoples and then we have to try and recreate what happened and this process is always riddled with many errors as well
Yes but this is the one we can directly affect. Look up MEER Reflection Project. It's the one dial on our climate control that can be turned in either direction
@MattAngiono seems to be another good idea fairy product. Managing temperatures in structures isn't managing the environment. This also seems to be based on the idea urban and rural environments respond the same way when it's well known urban environments are heat sinks. I'm more interested in pulling threads on geophysics and solar weather affecting global climate.
@@CHGLongStone feel free to elaborate on what you're suggesting. But it doesn't sound like you understand the purpose of MEER. It's not for managing structures. It's about managing surface heat anywhere we need to. This does include urban areas, but it's not limited to them. It's also meant to focus on farms or reservoirs where increased heat results in drying and evaporation. These are cheap mirrors that can be produced from recycled materials. We don't need any new technology to start implementing it. Though they do plan to continue research and development. As mentioned in the interview, what's ideal is that this is a reversible solution, so if anything goes wrong it can be dismantled. It's also good because the cooling is localized and can be moved to where it's needed most
What is Sam Harris wrong about….u talk about him with ad hominems;but don’t articulate the disagreement….I have very rarely heard Sam say anything I disagreed with….i was not sure about his ‘freewill is an illusion”; but I’m starting to agree with it based on a life of observation. But Yes, anyone can be wrong, Sam, you and me. Please clarify the disagreement topic!
Sam is (was?) for forcible vaccinations and punishments for "anti vaxers" (same as Chomsky),he fell for the vax scam and claimed "he did the best by following the current science" whilst we adults call it "being dum".
Concerning AI why not just quit making them since they can ne so dangerous or create them to where they are not a threat to humans? A famous author who has written good science fiction came up with the three laws of robotics that worked out fine for himanity.
How to become more workers in the lower field of important jobs? You make university unnatractive for the people who go to university. Unattractive: wokeness & higher demand not higher supply=more cost to go to uni.
To analyze should be relative to reality...Using Atoms is purely fictitious...Using sperm and eggs is "closer" to reality...perhaps by analyzing the sperm and egg...The sperm is radically driven...bumping heads...perhaps: fighting, competing , bumping their heads against anything and everything to get to that egg...The egg is solo that selectively chooses one, (for a number of possible reasons)...Perhaps we are the mature version of that sperm and egg...Have you ever been to a night club on Saturday night? The exact same behavior is present...
1:25:00 "we know that CO2 is heat trapping". Complete bs. CO2 doesn't trap heat. We use CO2 as a coolant in the industry. They call it "a natural refrigerant"....Same with CH4. There is a study on the arctic Methane release, that when they warmed it the methane release decreased, because more bacterias grew in the warmer environment. So this part is completely wrong.
CO2 "heat trap" experiments were conducted 150 years ago. And yes co2 does block part of IR spectrum. Your claim over methane is just nonsense. And no,I don't think the Earth is gonna go up in flames because of co2 or that "global warming" is anything but the scam, but you are a moron.
What is the secret to remaining immune to the persuasiveness of people like Bret Weinstein, Steven Pinker, and RFK Jr. ? I think it is willful ignorance. One should listen and consider what these people have to say.
Just don't ask them about Palestine lol. Might not like what you hear. That's what I found after years of thinking they were so insightful. Just not on everything I guess
The only way to govern ourselves is by the Word of God, the Bible. Before the critical comments...if you haven't read it. You have no valued opinion. This has all been happening since the beginning of time. It'ss free will Gid gives us. Not asking and praying for Gods will.
Modern coal powered electricity plants do not emit pollutants. Nor are unrenewables without emissions. Solar panels emit radiation, and offshore windmills upset the sonar abilities of marine mammals which they use to survive. Every thing to do with this industry is ideological. Near where I live they are destroying ancient forest to build a solar farm to replace hydro electricity. Completely ridiculous until you consider the government subsidies these companies will profit from, and the huge cost that can be passed down to consumers.
Genetics genetics genetics, the male is literally genetically dissolving, but everyone is talking about fucking culture/porn - can someone talk about fetal estrogen for christs sake?
Aren’t you glad you are not Sam Harris’s child and have to face our world without any deep seated moral guide but are rather left to just work it all out as you go because there’s no God principal
835 views in 8 days with Bret Steinwhine? Fuck you Before Skool. So's to not be misunderstood, i be meaning well done, loved the pod, keep getting these smoking hot good peoples and you'll grow fine.
It's so hypocritical to shame those who monetize their sexuality while thinking the rest of us aren't monetizing their bodies every bit as much in any job or business we do.
The idea young women have that body count doesn’t matter once a woman is ready to settle down and get married is truly an illusion. A man that can provide a good lifestyle and support a wife and kids doesn’t marry the girl that “monetized her sexuality” in the past. He uses her and finds a woman that will only share her body with him. Its not about shame, it’s reality.
