@@bhd7721 I miss Foster! She is exactly the straight-talking, no-nonsense, tough love friend Brett needs right now. Foster would have talked some sense into Brett and gotten her to talk, really talk, to Casey. Not whatever their last attempt was in 9x03. And Foster would definitely call Casey out and tell him to step up. It worked with Severide in season 7 😉😉😉!

@@msm9109 same here 🙂 I was angry when Dawson left Casey in such a harsh way, so stoped watching for a bit. But when I saw they’re putting Brettsey together I was so relieved. Like finally these adorable ppl will be happy. And I’m sure they like them together, otherwise why there was two seasons of preparation to this, they just want to make them (and us!) suffer big time 😩😄 I hope for the last time 🤞🏻

Casey probably gonna get with Sydney, Brett's gonna get with that new engine lieutenant, and they realise that they can't face seeing each other with other people and end up together. Reminds me of the Hallie-Casey-Gabby-Mills thing from waaaaaay back in season 1. Derek Haas has an unhealthy obsession with Gabby, and can't let her go. He's implied that this might drag out for the rest of the flipping season. This doesn't read to me as them abandoning Brettsey, this reads more as them trying to make an already too dragged out plotline more interesting.

@@makmok21 I can tell that Casey was indeed very jealous and hurt behind Brett and that guy talking, but I am with some of you Brett though that it wouldn't work between her and Casey because she dated her best friends brother Antonio but you've couldn't hide that chemistry that both Matt and Silvia had for each other I mean it was more than friendship it was real connection between them like they've never expected before. Casey never been this happy about anyone not even with Dawson and neither has Brett I wonder if Froster was there I'll bet Brett and Casey would have been talking already. Now that's Dawson gone everyone needs to move on from her the writers did why don't you all. I don't like Casey's new love interest she seems strange to me I knew that both Matt and Silvia wouldn't be ok with the other dating other people what do expected Brett that he would be fine with it. To me Casey's going call that call that woman to make Brett jealous and he's hurt that he still wants to be with her, if he's still in love with Brett then he needs to tell instead of getting with someone to just to get over his heartache with Brett.

After watching this scene.. and watching Brett I feel she’s had that relationship with Antonio and I forget the details but I think he had went back to his ex wife.. so I understand her sentiment. Casey is just trying to move on... but he wants to move forward with Brett. So he will just let it be until his emotions blow up.

I had a feeling that obstacles and distractions would be thrown in Sylvie and Matt's direction. What these folks need to do is have a mature conversation about their relationship. Sylvie has to find a way to overcome her insecurities about the ghost of Gabby and Matt needs to find a way to let that ghost go for good. But in the meantime... If I were Sylvie, I would hang out and flow with that new, fine and extra juicy fireman. I mean why not? She is free and single and why not mingle? Ride that cowboy!!😨😱😵😁🔥🎆🎇🎉⚡

Yeah Sylvie could trust him a little more, but she knows that Matt slept with Gabby when she came back to Chicago last time. So she could be scared of that happening again. Casey wouldn't cheat on her, but maybe she thinks he would want to get back together with her. Casey hadn't been very clear about it either

I spent a lot of this episode screaming at the TV. Mostly at Severide (Just tell Chief why you're backing off helping Stella! He can help!), but these two were rather frustrating to watch as well. I am pro-Casey going on a date with this lady, or any other lady really, since the last person he was really with was the hookup with Gabby (as far as we know). Lieutenant Handsome is essentially HazMat Zach (S6) so I don't know if I want Brett dating him be the reason that Matt resumes his pursuit...after she was the one who put a stop to them happening. /endofrant
