I've always wanted to stand on a NFL sideline during a game!! Men that big, strong, fast, athletic, & competitive would scare the hell out of me, I have no doubt about that!!!
+Rodney Robinson no idea take their mass, and multiply it with their acceleration and you'll get the force. whoever has the greatest force probably hits the hardest
Im diehard Dallas but this guy was one of my favorite safetys of all time. Darren sharper was my top but he really fucked up off the field. Roy Williams third but dawk was fuckin insane in every aspect of his play style. He was smart he was tough he was high energy and high stamina. Straight playmaker
Even though he never won a ring as a player, as an Eagles fan, I can proudly say he finally got one working with the team he loved his whole career. Now that he's on to better things with new destination and dreams, I can now say... Congratulations to HOFer and Super Bowl Champion Brian Dawkins aka Weapon X. Congrats Doggonit!
I am a ravens fan and obviously i love ed reed, but it is honestly a dead tie between brian dawkins and ed reed as my favorite players of all time. I wear number 20 because of these 2 guys and i love the way dawkins motivates and pumps people up, the way he punished opposing teams offenses, the way he played the game in general still pumps me up. He had better be a fist ballot hall of famer because the man was a beast on and off the football field.
so much freaking class! B Dawk, you're the reason I am bird gang for life. I loved growing up seeing you make football what it's supposed to mean. you had the passion, all the heart in the world, and a humble man. so again, thank you for everything you brought to this game, it won't be forgotten. I've always rocked your number in all the sports I played.. I even have a pro bowl Broncos jersey of yours that I don't ever mind rocking.
My favorite player ever, and when he signed with my Broncos a few years back that was awesome. Damn near brought a tear to my eye. Such a great guy and player. Don't understand how anyone could hate this dude.
He’s my all time favorite eagle! I met him at a store and he took a photo op with me and he made it so sentimental i couldn’t help but cry tears of joy
Anyone who puts Polamalu on the same level as this man has no clue what they're talking about. Their stats are so lopsided it's ridiculous. Call me biased, but Dawkins may be the greatest safety of all time. He's most definitely the greatest Eagle who's ever played the game.
LOL please explain... their stats are so lopsided that it's almost funny that you even want to make that argument. Tackles: Dawkins- 895 Polamalu- 581 Sacks: Dawkins- 26.0 Polamalu- 12.0 Interceptions: Dawkins- 37 Polamalu- 32 Forced Fumbles: Dawkins- 36 Polamalu- 14 Those are the most significant stats when talking about safeties and Dawkins SHATTERS Polamalu in 3 of them. So please, explain how Polamalu was even on the same level, let alone on "a higher level" than Dawkins. This is going to be the easiest argument I'll ever win. I strongly advise you avoid this argument while you still have a little dignity left.
Well the easiest way to explain it is that Polamalu played on a much better defensive team so there just weren't as many tackles to go around. Also the steelers hardly ever blitzed him so that's why he didn't have many sacks. But don't get me wrong I think Dawkins is the best safety ever to play the game. But at the same time Troy is also probably top 3 as his stats would've been similar to Dawkins' if he would've played on a less talented defense.

My all time favorite. Met him years ago at a Verizon store. Got a photo op with him he made the experience so sentimental it was hard for me to keep my emotions in.
Favorite player since I was 2 when he was first an eagle. Still miss him. He was the best defenseman of all time. Hands down deserved Super Bowls plus hall of fame. Weapon X will forever be on the eagles defense
My favorite player ever. I am heartbroken that Dawk wasn't on the team this year to share in the Super Bowl win. This Super Bowl was for you Dawk and all the fans that have passed away before seeing their first Super Bowl win. Fly Eagles Fly
No lie, I'm an 18 year old male and this makes me cry. Not like im "boo-hooin" but it brings teas to my eyes. He is such a positive man, and such a strong force. He was my hero growing up and he still is my hero. It's so sad that he ended his career without winning a superbowl.

I was born in 1970 A Eagles fan and I will die A Eagle Fan. I have always been a Brian Dawkins fan and after watching 7:35 My Respect and love for this man has grown 100% more. He is the Greatest Safety the Philadelphia Eagles have ever had.
I'm a Cowboys Fan, season ticket holder. Hands down all time favorite player is Brian Dawkins. If you ask "how can that be?" you simply don't get it. Mild manner, Christian man, doesn't curse and still able to wild out and ball so hard...psssshhh. That's a man, it's easy go drug, drink, & womanize he does the hard stuff on and off the field. Classy PS-He grew up a Cowboys Fan!
Everything you said is true one thing he also had one of the best games a Cornerback can have when he faced Houston 1int for TD 1fumble 1sack and 1 touchdown pass that gives respect to a man who will take your head of and make sure you don't forget where he came from God bless his future.
Man BDawk! Youre the Philadelphia fucking Eagle! I know I dont have to say anything that any eagles fan hasn't already said or knows!!. You're a fucking CHAMPION in our books!! You are going to be the ever lasting legend in Philly! Thank you for what you did. I'm honored for being able to watch you play!! Also, thank you for solidifying my fan hood for the birds!
The way Takeo Spikes embraced him after that injury speaks for itself. Here’s a guy that’s not upset that he’s hurt but upset that he’s gotta get off the field is just flat out sad. Never could count out Brian Dawkins in any fight hurt or in good health he was always reliable in spirit.
I would run through a brick wall for Brian Dawkins, hands down my favorite Eagle Westbrook is a close 2nd this video is great and you better believe ill be in front of my TV tonight to watch this man and the Birds
+Dion Reed They do...Just because you don't see it don't mean it isn't there. There is Richard Sherman...JJ WATT...Dez Bryant...Josh Norman...and thats just a Few.
+Noob Smoke yeah i agree with you die hard eagles fan but I respect other players too from other teams like Drew Brees Troy Polamalu Ray Lewis Sean Taylor Jason Taylor Peyton Manning Brett Favre Brian Urlacher Calvin Johnson Charles Woodson and many more
+Noob Smoke I hope your right my Eagles suffered a disaster year by Chip Kelly thank god he is gone and now I smell fresh air I believe the Eagles have the pieces to the puzzle but its just missing a good O line and for Saints I hope they rise again I know no more Jimmy Graham but they got James Laurinaitis I don't know who else but they should make a comeback and by the way R.I.P to Will Smith DE was shot to death
I'm a Dallas fan but one hell of a player congrats too the eagles on there long deserved super Bowl and to Dawkins on getting into the Hall of fame We will be back next year and compete with u guys. Should be great.
Man.... he must have been in alot of pain for him to cry like that after that hit. I cant even imagine what that must have felt like. Salute to you Dawkins, you had a great career!
