Brian's I Remember You album is one of my favorite albums. His boys are featured on it, and he dedicated a song to them. Now, his boys were born of sin. How sir, you were married to their mother WTH!!!! Now, I'm also a former favorite fan, SMDH 😡
🤣🤣🤣 I was wondering how he was going to fill them seats. Lmao It's mostly black men who alienate their core base. Lets see his Hawaiian fan base fill up them seats and buy his music. 😂 We out! 👋🏽✌🏾 On a more important note, Patty that lip color looks good on you! ❤
Hello Ms. Patty - you mentioned both Cash Money Records and Stax which both were responsible for releasing three of the last four albums by Teena Marie, I still miss her to this day.
Hey Patty 👋🏾 I watched Brittany Griner's interview last night and it broke my heart! 😢 So glad she made it home. I remember watching the UnSung for the Bar-Kays and I was stunned to find out that one of the original members was white and he had a Black girlfriend....back in the 50s!! 😮
The Stax documentary was produced by Ezra Edelman and Caroline Waterlow (O.J. Made in America) and Nigel Sinclair and Nicholas Ferrall of White Horse Pictures. This was when music was good and whole lot of people could relate to it. It is a history lesson we al need.
Love you Patty! HUGS2U 🎉🎉🎉 Brian McKnight has issues & he's awful to his bio, older children! You reap what you sow! I can't wait to see the New Braxton show! I'd love reading Whoopi's new memoir. Brittany Griner had some terrible experiences & I'll watch the show on Hulu. Stax has a new documentary? I can't wait to see that also. 🎉 Black Music Past, Present, Future is AMAZING & American music! Thanks for the great show Patty! ❤
When you said STAX, the emblem on their 45s and LPs came into my head. The company had a very distinctive sound and I think it's still a part of today's pop music.
Brian McKnight is going to hell on a rocket if he doesn’t get his self together. The damage he is doing to those children is horrible. I pray he can fix it. The Brittany Griner story was amazing.
Years ago I visited the Stax Records Museum in Memphis, I recommend anyone that's visiting Memphis to go. It was an educational and fun trip for the entire family that we enjoyed. It would make a wonderful side trip for a family reunion.
Can't wait for Whoopi's new book. Preordered it on Audible back in March. I enjoyed Robin Robert's interview of Britney so much I pre-ordered her book too. I listen to your podcast on Audible too, Ms Patty
Auntie, I love your commentary. Whoopi may have another hit on her hands. The Robin Roberts interview with Brittney Griner was absolutely great. Her story is incredibly unimaginable. She is a conquer who triumphs from dark into the light. Blessings to her and her wife. Yes, Auntie, your vast knowledge of music makes you our historian. Have a blessed and beautiful Thursday.
I won’t be bothering with any Brian McKnight concerts and glad I missed his London show. Artists like him are two a penny in this economy no one can afford to go to every concert. Besides algorithms constantly suggest similar artists so easy for us to substitute him. Right now my Apple is suggesting Babyface, Joe, K-Ci & Jojo, Avant, After 7 etc
Hi Ms. Patty Brittney's story last night was unbelievable. She made it through a tough experience in Russia. I have so much respect for her. I'm so happy she is home.😊 Stax Records story need to be told. The amazing and talented musicians that put out the greatest R&B and Soul Music was outstanding. R.I.P to all of those greats who are no longer here. 💐 Great Scoop
Ms.Patty : You look great !!Brian McKnight will finally learn TO STAY OFF SOCIAL MEDIA!! He is shooting his own foot off.I’ll watch the Stax Documentary. Thank you for mentioning it. You are our MUSICAL HISTORIAN.
Instead of being students of history for our incredible music in the 60ties and 70ties instead we got hip hop and Diddy. The hip-hop culture has single Handedly destroyed the Black culture.
Gangsta rap with whyte executives that made millions encouraging the dysfunction. People don't realize that gangsta rap and the evil spewed cast spells on the black community, nothing good about selling drugs, being in a gang or killing anyone.
Hey Ms. Patty Jackson, I want to mention to you, that don't forget the great music coming from Capitol records like Arthea Franklin, Nat King Cole, Natalie Cole, just to name a few. MUSIC MATTERS PEACE&LOVE
I live in Birmingham Alabama and when I go to Tennessee I make it my business to go to the stax museum. Everyone should go and look at this place it is enlightening is fantastic and bring back your youth
Huggggs🥳🙌🏾🥰☺️im back Auntie,, i really missed you i have a lot of catching up to do,, and you telling it!! Its worth me watching❤️you Queen keep up the fantastic and truthful scoop👍🏽
Happy Thursday Patty! Brian McKnight been crazy for minute. I will probably purchase Whoopi’s book, “Bits and Pieces”. Brittney Griner’s interview is shocking. 😮 I pray she gets back to herself mentally as well. Praying for her, Cherrelle and new Baby. Stax records! I remember playing my Mom’s 45s with the little red adapter things in the middle! Wore out The Staple Singers “ I’ll Take You There”! Can’t wait to see it on another streaming service (Hulu hopefully). You know what? You Are My Music Historian! Love You Girl!🤗😘
Can't forget Memphis in the 60's. A lot was going on, and then MLK was assassinated. Visiting the Lorraine Motel is a moving and emotional experience....The music and musicians were amazing.
Brian McKnight is going to destroy his legacy. He himself is going to destroy everything that he has accomplished the way he treat his kids, his sons and his daughter it’s not right that’s why people are turn off by the thing that he saying and that’s a shame you don’t say the things that you’re saying about your kids you don’t do that and expect people to come to see your show. No, we’re not gonna come to see your show, you are destroying your legacy Brian McKnight shame on you
Thanks Aunty for your information about Stax music. I absolutely loved, loved that music and loved to see its history. Yes, i realized black and white turned out some of the greatest collaborations, just goes to show music has no color and it certainly has power to bring people together. Aunty, you are so informative thanks for being out here in these informative streets.❤
You look beautiful as usual auntie 😊. Good advice to Brian stay off social media if you need to share your every thoughts 💭 there was a time we desired privacy but you want everyone to know your everything. I love Whoopi and she has come a long way and I love her 😍 not only does she make me laugh but she makes me smile 😃from the first time I saw her do her one woman show with the shirt over her head imitating long hair. This was my music 🎶 I listened and loved it all even the Beetles Have a great weekend love Nana G in Michigan ( aka your recycled teenager of 77plus and fan )
Hi Patty, I’m from New Jersey, do you remember the dj Hal 😢Jackson from Jersey. He was on wnjr radio. I remember he played all the black greats and put on the first black talent show Miss New Jersey.
Soulville USA…..can’t wait! I remember there were some white artist singing with black artists I could’ve swore were black!! Remember the song “Since I Don’t Have You”….gurl, I’m telling you!!!! 👍🏾
I love watching your videos, especially when I need to laugh. I come here for news I can't use. Oh, what's happening with Jennifer and Common? Just curious.
Beautiful job Auntie! You continue to drop gems of knowledge and history! Brian is talented, yet arrogant. Is Tamar ready to return to reality tv🤔 Come through Stax Records documentary!
Hugs Patti, Did Brian McKnight think his fans were going to support him after his comments I was never a fan. I saw that Brittany Griner interview , that making her strip and turn around while they take pics was cruel I teared up. Ppl over here are just as cruel.
Love, love Stax Musem in Memphis. One of the best. Anyone visiting Memphis, please go and visit that museum you will be in love. Thanks for your informative and interesting videos. Keep them coming. ❤
Hey Patty. Thank you for bringing us fantastic content! I 💜 how you remind & inspire us to know and treasure our history whether it’s music or family. The minute your spoken words were spoken: in my head I could hear - Issac Hayes’s “Walk On By”. 💜 your content & delivery. Thank you & Bless You.
Stax Records was founded by Jim Stewart and Estelle Axton. The ST of stax comes from STewart and the AX comes AXton, whom were both White. Al Bell became and executive and owner during the latter years.
Brian McKnight is not responsible for financially supporting his adult children. He also should stop publicly antagonizing them. There is no need to do that.
It was easier to do a New Orleans themed line up. These entertainers want too much money. They happy to be on the main stage. But I bet it will be by far the best one.
Nope! No one is feelin Brian McKnight! He might as well cancel his tour cause nobody is buying tickets for it. Watch, I bet it gets cancelled. I use to be a fan until he told us who he really is as a father and a man. Very disappointing. Such a turn off. 🤷🏽♀️
wondering if Brian will fill seats… but then again I don’t care never was a fan. Love the lipstick color, would you mind terribly if you share the brand and color thank you❤.
Off topic: Patty please tell people about will downing coming to Lansdowne theatre in December. My mom got her tickets already.🔹🤗🤗Patty🔹Brian is colour struck. He’ll survive because Chris brown’s fans still support him and he calls them all kinds of black names
Okay Essence I like the tribute to the hometown icons, sounds like McKnight needs to shine the light on himself, he participated in the sin! I don't think Tamar can stand to be any thinner nor does she need it, wow Whoppi was an addict 😲,
