I think the initial scope or audience that one is trying to craft a solution for is the most important part when first attempting to gain marketplace traction. Honestly it sounds like you are trying to hire for the cheapest possible prices. Talent doesn't care about Vision anymore - so many have been burnt by startups over the past decade- they want competitive compensation for work rendered because they know 95% of startups will go under within 5 years. So if you cannot afford to hire the talent you are looking for and require - you might want to think about how you can (get some funding) or look into different avenues to acquire talent (just expect it to not be great because they will most likely be new or freelancers).
