absolutely love the classic dinosaurs, the newer versions are more accurate and do a lot more stuff, but the classic ones have a stupidity that is hard to not love.
the beige viking helmet was the base for the gold painted ones that appeared in a few sets. but some managed to never get painted and end oup on bricklink.
That poor Dragon, make a home for the fella. Maybe a moc around dragon hunters and their recent capture with the fellow dragons coming to it's aid. Idk just something to give reason and purpose after being stepped on lol happy little accidents
I love that. I'll definitely be keeping him and I'll make sure he's well loved! Hopefully we can find a nice MOC to put him in at some point. I wish I had made a big cave in the side of my island castle, but I think it's too late for that now xD
Very cool OG haul. Loved the Adventures things. I think the conquistador idea is perfect for the castle. Imagine canoes of CMF Aztec Jaguar and Eagle warriors flanking the castle on all sides while the Conquistadors defend it and await reinforcements on the ship. Story potential is incredible!
I’ve almost bought that green dragon a dozen times, i’ll always be on my wanted list. Also yes that sky blue tile is unofficially realized but is printed with a “X” pattern in the tinderbox, a very interesting set to check out with so many rare parts. Love to see these videos, and im pretty sure you grabbed some things i had in my cart at bricks 4 life 😂. Great vid Caleb ❤
This man has single handedly bought every sand purple piece on existence, and I think it couldn’t of gone to a better person. I am quite curious of what he’s going to do with them..
Oh man, that wizard is a blast from the past. I remember having that same minifigure in my collection, too. Probably still in my big brick box in pieces somewhere
It’s so fun watching these now that I regularly buy from BrickLink. It’s basically Lego heaven with all the exclusive pieces you can get. Great video as allways.
LEGO heaven is definitely a way to describe it! It can be so addicting haha. But love having all the parts at your fingertips. It's a powerful resource
it feels like the Bevile crowns could be used for "light fixtures" Also swap the faces on the conquistadores and you can call them the Three Musketears if you just get "normal" Civilans or "nobles" to populate the castle.
yo, there exist a baby Lego Ancylosaurus? no way! that is my favourite Dinosaur. definitely need to keep that in mind if i ever get around to order something from Bricklink
@@CheeseyStudios yeah i looked into it, but the big one is really pricey (looked like around $100 for the whole thing). so i think a baby one will do for me since it is around $3-4.
I have that Green Dragon, but with transparent orange wings, I had gotten him when I was small. My only problem is that the clips, jaw, tail, and the arms are all quite loose, fortunately none are loose enough to fall off though. I still cherish having him. Recently I had gotten one of the Fright Knight Dragons which now has my Basil the Batlord mini figure on it and even more recently is was down at that Bricks & Minifigs store and got a Dragon Master Knight.
Best part of making a bricklink order is grabbing any random cool pieces the seller has to meet minimum buy requirements. Or just “I don’t NEED 50 green gem pieces… but they’re less than a penny each… and monkey brain like pile of gems…”
I love collecting lego critters, from all sorts of eras. Recently I bought the Pharaoh's Quest Scarab set and one of the pieces was broken (the 1x1 brick with the four snot studs). The way it was broken was worse, with the stud on one side preventing anti studs from attaching and the stud on the exact other side preventing bar connections which perfectly prevented finishing the set. Side not, one of my goals is too build various critters from Lego video games, and so many of the pieces for some just don't seem to exist especially in the correct colors. Hurts most when only one visible piece doesn't exist
I remember that struggle when trying to rebuilt a lot of the LEGO Universe pets. I bet a lot of those pieces that I couldn't find in 2012 exist now though!
I’m right there with you with regards to the old creature design - even if they didn’t have studs on the back, you would *know* they were LEGO, all thanks to the design language being used! I don’t think you can say the same thing about LEGO creatures post-2005… (cut to Dino Attack raptor, haha) 😉
I'm very excited to help showcase Audrey's project - it's really gonna be cool! And hopefully a lot of these pieces will be showing up in the next few castle build logs. Not sure about the dragon and the dinosaur though xD
as a young kid I really wanted to have lord of the rings sets but I couldnt afford any so I have to tell you that wizard from your package was a blessing for young me haha I gave him a long staff with a translucent green exoforce sentry piece and in my mind he was Gandalf haha Ive added few vikings figures and I had my own off brand fellowship so that figure will always be charished in my memory ;)
Aww what a shame about those dragon “ears”, I still have my original “Witch’s Windship” green dragon and the black dragon from the big castle, but neither have those OPAQUE red wings, now I want those hahaha.
Yeah, sorting that one order was such a pain. Some sellers will say on their store terms that they won't individually bag lots, but this store didn't even have a disclaimer RIP....
I want to see what your wife is building so badly. Also, I actually liked the damaged green dragon that way, it gave me the sensation of an old and wise dragon who had a rough battle against someone and survived with scars :3
14:15 big oof, always sad to see white stress marks. Not sure how much you care, but a drop or two of solvent could potentially atleast repair the crack.
My favorite dragon, too bad he's worse for the wear. My brother ended up with all the ones we had as kids, maybe I can sneak one or two out next time I'm there....I'm sure we had at least 4-5 of them, I was a huge dragon nerd (I say was like I'm not still lol) and for gifts any set with a dragon was superior to every other possible set so I got quite a few.
Hey cheesy I’m planning on making a Lego channel myself partially inspired by the amazing videos you make and I was wondering if you could recommend any camera and microphone equipment?
I'm definitely no audio expert, I just use a decent shotgun mic for most everything, but you'd probably be better off with a wireless lapel! As for camera, I would 100% recommend the one I've been using - the Panasonic GH5. :D
hi cheesy studios! I have two questions. can you please tell me the name of that putty that gets dust out from between studs? and also iv been working on a lego project I wanted to take to Brickworld, size undetermined, but I know that 14 yr old me with budget constraints and small, probably square foot plans am not going to make a giant 4x4 to 8x8 module. can you please tell me if there is a secret table for normal people that I don't know about? or another convention that is not as demanding? I hope not though because i would love to go to Chicago tho to see you and your awsome moc this year! love your work and your calm voice
Hi! I'll do my best to answer. :) Easy one is the duster - that's called ColorCoral! You should be able to request a custom display space, and I'd just write in your dimensions there. Bricklink is typically the cheaper option, but it depends on what pieces you're buying. Some will be cheaper on Pick-a-Brick. PaB also takes a very long time to ship, so if you're in a hurry, I'd choose Bricklink. For the record, my go-to is always BL unless I'm buying 2x2 tiles or new elements, which are typically cheaper on PaB. Hope that helps a bit!
I love your vids my fav build on Lego masters was the chef's hat it was so creative is anything on Lego masters staged? it's so much fun watching this channel
I'm glad you liked that chef hat 🤣 Such. Ridiculous build! I'd say for the most part that LEGO Masters is quite authentic, certainly moreso than I thought it would be.
Doesn´t the big crown have the same dimentions as the heads of the big Knight Kingdom II action figures? It reminds me of the King Mathias crown. They also have that hole in the top of their heads!
I might be behind on the Bricklink news but is Bricklink operational now? The whole hostage situation of threatening to get rid of sellers’ inventories.
Ah yes, that extra kick I needed (I did not need a kick) to pull the trigger on these carts I've had for a while (A while being all of a day and a half) 😅😅
@3:56 I’ve seen the classic Lego conquistador Morion helmets in that same tan color online, and I believe that for those they were unpainted versions of the gold Morion helmets featured in the Conquistador CMF series minifigure. I’ve also seen tan cuirass/breastplate pieces as well that are also from the CMF series but unpainted. I’d guess this piece is an unpainted version.
dude i've been trying to find a crown that would fit on my TechnoBlade custom figure, and then i saw the crown at 4:33...... i really wanna know what set its from and like how to get it 🥺
Your just teasing me at this point with all the “and this is for the island castle”😢 Side note does anyone know if you can like type into the search bar in a brick link store and it’ll show items only in a wanted list
The ornamental fish? www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=30224&name=Fish,%20Ornamental&category=%5BAnimal,%20Water%5D#T=S&O={%22iconly%22:0}
The only other equivalent I'd say is Brickowl, and the prices there are nearly identical! Bricklink has far more sellers and therefore more variety. Depending on what you buy, some things can be very cheap.
Stealing pieces from Audrey's project... Not cool man. But also, look at that stegosaurus! Man, I've been wanting to get those Dino Island sets because I only ever got the tan and red Pterodatyls and baby T-rex, never the adult T-rex, Tricerotops, or Stegosauruses and that remaining Pterodactyl either. They're all in my wishlist of sets, my goal is to obtain all the dinosaurs in all their colors, but I've just never acted on it. I love those classic animals. While I have complained about restricted movements on some animals, I think because of their more blocky nature, classic animals like the dinosaurs and dragons get the pass because they feel like LEGO. I'm also a late 90s and early 2000s kid when it comes to LEGO, that's the era that makes me think of LEGO, and it's my favorite time for sets even though I know it wasn't actually the best for the company. I do love some of the modern animals, but I'm more in love with the smaller ones that fit on a single stud or two than the bigger multipart ones.
3:53 l think you don’t trust me on this l’m IiteraIIy making this up on the part and the way it was painted instead Tove moIded in that coIour made it reaIIy actuaIIy that coIour and that’s just a version of the paint came off but l’m not sure.
@@CheeseyStudios WeII l came up with that idea because the aII the chrome coIor for Lego actuaIIy l think the oId siIver coIor for Iike you used to just be painted on and overtime and come off with a time probabIy used to be the oId siIver coIor in my brain is imagining it’s oId brown coIor but that makes so much more sense wow l need to touch grass.
