David Emmanuel and Lori are not connected. Lori is in Georgia and has her own shop and I believe David is not even in the US and He has his own store. he is the designer who designed princess Diana‘s dress I don’t think he needs a talking to. Lol. The drama on these shows is always staged for ratings. Just like house hunters.

My best friend/his sister started seeing a guy around the time we got engaged and she got engaged a month later. She then planned her wedding 10 days before mine. It worked out but I was upset for a long time because it felt like she was upstaging me and hadn’t even been together nearly as long as we had.

Actually, on Lori's show, a mother of the bride tried in a wedding dress during her daughter's appointment. Everyone loves to hate on David. It appears there is a theme when watching these shows. These are all scripted, one way or another. Why does everyone act like David is so bad? Lori is often rude. Lori's dresses often go above budget. Lori and Monte both upstage the brides with their antics. Yet I never see a barrage of complaints about Lori and Monte. It is so weird..

that sounds so amazing, i love red and gold dresses and I bet you both looked so beautiful. i went to my friend's sisters wedding a few years ago as his plus one, and their family is from Pakistan and the bride wore stunning blue and gold, it was amazing...and so was the wedding

That happened to me and my best friend (but not for our weddings but for prom). We had both unknowingly gotten the EXACT same dress, and we still had a blast at prom together! We laughed about it, took pictures together, and everyone else that noticed thought it was funny as well. It wasn’t a big deal. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess I can see why some people would care, but at the end of the day your wedding day will still be special because it’s about you and your spouse, not anyone else.

Here situation is a bit different, best friend trying on the dress clears the air a bit because from the start they both were scared of choosing same style, they only had the idea of what their dresses are gonna be.. But in the end they know

Usually i would agree, but in this situation i think it was smart to get them both in a dress to make them both realise that they are different people with different wants and tastes, and that if they find something they really like there shouldn't be any bad feelings towards the other over small similarities.

I didn't take her to my first dress shopping, and not sure how I feel about taking her to the next. I really want to be happy for her, but I feel like she's trying to one up me. Any advice anyone? If this is what she would have wanted even without your input then it is totally normal that she wouldn't want to back down on that. But if she is for some reason just "stealing" your ideas and style then that is an issue. Just to be clear, if you two have the same style then I don't see the issue with you both having a wedding with the same theme, it doesn't have to be a competition just you celebrating your marriages on two different days even if it happens to be somewhat alike. FYI I have no experience in weddings so my opinions may be different when I am engaged. All I can say is that you should do what you feel comfortable doing, if you don't want her at dress-shopping then don't. If you have similar taste otherwise too then don't be too harsh on her.

She's getting married before but not the day before. The timing of each of their weddings would be tied to a lot of variables other than one wanting to outshine the other. No way to know whether she had anything to do with when her boyfriend proposed.

Honestly I was expecting the BFF to be catty too, but the way their ‘argument’ was edited is SO suspicious. There were like 10 cuts in that 1 conversation about the buttons… I think they wanted to make it a competition. But it was kinda rude of the BFF to agree to try on a wedding dress when it’s not her appointment (unless behind the scenes the bride said ok)

Yes, it fit her figure beautifully! The first two weren't right for her shape with the long waists. I don't know why they would even put her in those. She needed a natural waistline and a little more fabric up top to balance it out. The last one was flattering in the front and back! Very lovely!
