Sometimes parents don’t realise the negative effect they can have on their children. Confidence building is so important.

This poor woman was picking a dress based on what everyone else wanted, not what she wanted. That is not how you pick your wedding dress. As gorgeous as she was in each of those dresses, I'm glad she picked the one that SHE wanted.

She seems so discouraged by whatever she was told before, but I’m glad that she ended up choosing the dress that SHE wanted. She is absolutely beautiful!

I really try to respect other people's cultures, but no one has the right to terrify someone without even being physically present. That's not parenting or cultural heritage, it's just being plain toxic.

A BEAUTIFUL woman with a judgmental family and non-supportive friends. She was not "confused", she was scared to be judged by her family and friends. I'm so happy that in the end she chose what she really wanted instead of what others wanted for her. She have a beautiful figure, like a model, she should be a confident and empowered woman.

My heart broke for this poor girl. She sounds like she's been undermined and made to feel insecure her entire life. I hope her life is turned around with her new husband and she'll have a much more stable and happy life.

I'm so glad she felt the courage to go back and choose dress #1. She looked glorious in everything but it's the fact that she chose it herself that I'm so happy about.

That video at the end made my day! The first one was jaw dropping, gorgeous and sophisticated, the other one was safe. With a "tiger mum" of my own, I know how hard it is to simply choose what makes YOU happy... it causes panic attacks. Watching it back for the second time, I feel like she started crying when she tried on the first dress because she feels scared/unworthy when she feels happy about something and that makes me soo much more proud of her for choosing it in the end

My heart just breaks for her. I cried as she cried, because I can understand her. I hope her friends don’t take it personally that she said she was afraid of them, I’m sure that’s not what she meant… it’s hard to express yourself when you’re that afraid.. of what, you don’t even know. It seems she has been attacked by criticism for so long and so harshly that she anticipates it and reacts before it even comes.

Shout out to the bride for standing up for herself and that gorgeous dress! I'm sad that her mom wasn't even present for the appointment, yet the bride was so worried about her mom's opinions.

Ohhh, I almost missed the end bit where she went back to the first, fabulous dress. I"m so glad she did. She looked radiant in that one. The others were fine, but that first one was just amazing on her. So glad she stood her ground and ended up going for the dress SHE wanted, as opposed to satisfying others.

Ooooh sweet beautiful woman. My heart breaks. I recognize signs of CPTSD in her that I've experienced from longterm family trauma. She's so gorgeous and has such kind eyes - I hope that she can find herself inside all the second-guessing and confusion and insecurity that comes from not feeling safe or supported. I'm sure she intellectually knows that her friends support her, but she is stuck on that vague feeling of "oh no everyone's frustrated and impatient with me and staring at my flaws." I couldn't watch my daughter cry like this. I tried to make her strong and independent. I trust her choices in life. I will totally support and empower her when she gets married. I know the wedding day is about her, not me. This bride is gorgeous.

After bingewatching this program, I decided to support my daughter even if she wants to get married at a nudist camp. I cant understand why mothers, systers, friends, fathers are so invested in a dress that they hurt their feelings in the most mean and cruel way.
