My friend went to a bridal salon to buy a wedding dress. Her parents offered to pay for it. She didn't want her parents to pay for it because the father was later off & had some trying times. The dresses she saw in the bridal salons were all too costly . She found a wedding dress at a Salvation Army that was really really GORGEOUS, she bought it w/out even trying it on. She took it home and put it on. Showed her parents, they were shocked cause they knew it was an unaffordable designer dress w/ a big ass hefty price tag. This left the parents speechless. When she told them the price, again, they were speechless. Grand total of $ 49.00. Then it was a pink tag which made it half off. Total price was $24.50. And WHAT A GORGEOUS DRESS it WAS...Everybody at the wedding remarked about that dress. She told the groom at the reception and he spit his white wine across the room. (FUNNY)....groom told her previously that her dress was quite expensive looking. Veil came from a bridal salon. The designer dress,.........compliments of Salvation Army !!!!!!!! A portion of money she would have spent went to animal sanctuary. She did right by her parents. Not so THIS bride.

look at the father's face throughout this whole ordeal. he was sweating. not literally. but, he was concerned and uncomfortable. he did not enjoy the experience, because he was afraid for his pocket. shows are edited, but sometimes we read between the lines. mom was eager to get the $7,000 dress, even though she knew the budget. she and daughter totally disregarded it while going through the racks. mom was clearly disappointed that daughter did not like the dress, but couldn't put up an argument. this is not the first time they did this to dad. my feeling is, they truly wanted to hurt his pocket. I just went to try on wedding dresses last Sunday, and my dad and sibling were willing to pay for the almost 2k dress they liked on me, but I couldn't let them pay for that, so I chose the one I had on my mental budget, and it gave the bridal feeling. I could not in my heart allow my family to pay that much for my dress; knowing there were other expenses to pay, even the bridal consultant encouraged me to decide on the expensive gown. I am so happy with my choice; the dress I saw online that I thought I wanted was 400 bucks more than the one I chose. I am thrilled with the dress I chose. I cannot wait until it arrives and I will get to marry my man in that dress. Hehe, sorry, I just wanted to share one of the best moments of my life. ❤️

If you bought it online and haven't actually tried it on yet I hope you don't get let down. Because lots of times the picture and the actual item are two COMPLETELY different things! Hoping for the best for you.

@@sueparras6028 read her post again, she DID NOT go with the one she saw online. She said the dress she saw online was what she thought she wanted, but she chose another dress and she is thrilled with it.

Hope she's aligned her expectations with the future hub. I can predict issues if she likes 'expensive things' and he's a nice southern boy. Lol

@@sharnagrayson9649 well, I haven't said I 'want' that to happen. Not sure how you read that :P. The biggest problem with marriages is that people don't have their expectations aligned which is why I'm hoping that they've talked about it. She seems bratty but good-hearted.

THAT mom raised THAT daughter. The mom doesn’t value the father’s money, she wouldn’t either.

It’s one thing for the daughter to push the budget (which isn’t good) but for the mom to as well!

i feel like i couldn't even burden my father for my STUDIES and there are brides who dont even compromise the price when their father/ family is buying for them..! respect their budget ..smh🤦
