Joanne was diagnosed with a severe case of arthritis, resulting in her living out most of her days in her room but since 2017 she has been wanting to get married, and maybe this year will be the one.

It's so sad how awful people can be to one another. It's absolutely refreshing to see episodes of Curvy Bride Boutique with Jo and Al. Those are 2 amazing ladies with hearts of gold, who strive to see the brides shine and feel beautiful inside and out! IMHO, this is the best SYTTD series of them all (Gok definitely ties with Jo and Al for the best friend that we all need in our lives) I absolutely love watching these videos! Much love from the USA.

I actually prefer Jo and Al to Gok because their attitude seems more giving and gentle. Gok is still far ahead of David Emmanuel, I’ve got to say.

@ProgressiveHeart While I love Jo and AL to absolute bits, do we really need to have a horse race tearing the other bridal consultants down? I think they all do a great job. Each one brings their own ambiance to the search. Can't we just love and celebrate them all for the shows they bring us?

@@Brembelia if I were a bride looking for a gown, I would learn from these different consultants what to say, as far as budget, to ask the price BEFORE trying on the gown, sticking up for myself, and not bringing anyone with me (at least anyone whose opinions I don’t agree with). Btw, I was a bridal consultant (asst mgr, actually), as well as a dress consultant (Macy’s business and evening dress dept), I have a BFA in fashion design, worked in the garment industry. And, as much as I LOATH shopping for myself, I love helping others find their best look, and have been asked by both male and female friends and friends of friends to help them find clothes. If I’m in a store shopping and see someone wearing something that really works for them, I’ll let them know, then tell them I don’t work for the store. In other words, that’s my honest opinion, I’m not trying to make a sale. I’ve never had anyone say “myob”. (I never ever tell someone something looks dreadful on them.)

I just don’t understand cruelty toward others. Why do people care about someone else’s weight if it doesn’t impact your life? I’m just glad Jo and Al make a point to make all their brides feel beautiful.

It's a shame that they were so negative about the first dress! I actually thought she looked pretty in both. First one was elegant and form fitting, second one had that really nice silver detail on the sides that gave her an extra oomph. She'll look very pretty on her special day.

I did prefer the first dress, better silhouette, better sturcture, better humpf, i felt the pressure from the daughter and did not feel the decision was the bride one. Love Jo an Al do. They are so great and i love the ''stress out loud strong shout out'' from Jo when the daughter had some control behavior. I see more the behavior of the daughter not so much the thruth in words. In life i believe more the body language than the words, and i see, closeness, in the cross of the arms and legs of entourage, and the stress and forced smile in mother. My perception ...Sad.

Where is the 'magic dress all time' that have sleeve, v neck n A line dress? It could be perfect for her.. As she wish for simple dress but fits her (perfectly) in her own way.. The daughter not help so much, better keep quiet..
