I didn’t like the pantsuit- it looked like something I’d have worn in the 60s- I thought the dress was beautiful but it did need some alterations. Satin is not very forgiving.

You girls do know that these are samples, right? lol They’re going to order the dresses in their sizes and do alterations on them.

@@thehungrygoldfish I actually didn’t like the outfits, nothing to do with fit. The pants outfit looked like something I would have worn to my 1972 prom, if I wanted to look even more dorky than I did (all the other girls were wearing halter dresses). The dress, I hated the satin panels on the sides, and lace down the front of the skirt. By the way, I used to do this for a living, and have a BFA in fashion design.

Same. Haha. I hated them both. The pants outfit was just awful but of course so was the one piece she tried on as well. However the one piece I think actually would have complimented that dress better. I think they are both beautiful and could have both found something much better.

Because women were not ALLOWED to wear trousers - at best, socially shunned, until WW2, really. Only EXTREMELY wealthy, independent, in control of their money (nearly always inheritance), lesbians, wore trousers, earlier A handful of immensely wealthy women started wearing male evening attire, getting boyish haircuts, smoking, in public, in the 20's and thirties... Most of society was rather shocked, but these women were from what would be billionaire type families, now. It was a European - British thing. Wealthy young American women normally came to Britain, or decadent, extremely wealthy parts of France, or if in America, were likely found in infamous jazz clubs. And THAT was in the western world. In many other cultures, women still cannot wear trousers. They can be beaten now, for wearing trousers. As always, when women are controlled, women who show their body outline, the shape of their lower torso, confidently, without shame, MEN WHO DO NOT SEE IT REGULARLY - AND DO NOT SEE IT AS UTTERLY NORMAL, see it as women taunting them, feeling the power of withholding their affection, whilst highlighting it, which is often likely to cause anger in male dominated society. Remember controlled women are seen as belongings of men - either fathers or husbands, in those societies. If you display a clear outline your charms, you are seen as professionally available and a social outcast. You must be young and not understand the social history of clothes to not understand. It was a long fought battle and only the practicalities of war work, doing a lot of factory and physical labour, previously done by men, away fighting, in WW2, that made trousers acceptable, for working class women.

They do show other designers. It’s just because Pnina is exclusive to Kleinfelds, a lot of girls want to try on the Pninas because they can’t try them on anywhere else.

@TheGrumpyTurtle I hear what you're saying. She can't possibly be the only exclusive designer they have though. There are so many designers out there with better designs and better price tags. I think they make it a point to keep bringing out PT dresses on these videos so women go in asking for her stuff. Cause before this show, I'd never heard about her. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@unicorns40 Yeah, that's the point. People want Pnina because of the show. And to be fair, no one would have heard of Kleinfeld's if it wasn't because of the show, lol. There are other exclusive designers but obviously Pnina is the most desirable. I mean, they've been girls on the show who have lied about their budgets just to try on Pninas. That's how badly girls want to try them on.

@TheGrumpyTurtle 😆 I hear you. I guess they both need each other to be relevant. I heard of Kleinfeld b4 the show cause it originally was a block away from me(originally, it was in Brooklyn). PN is below basic, imo especially when you compare it to real designers. I think my issue with her stuff is that the price is not reflective of the quality. High prices low value/quality. To be fair, I would also forget about my budget if I walked into an Elie Saab wedding dress showroom, for example 🙈🤭
