Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 Trailer Reaction!! | This is about to get messy! 

Thing is, its his own fault. If he had courted her correctly instead of being unhinged and keeping to himself only to basically jump her at balls and interrupt her courtship with another man, she could have considered telling. She went from thinking he would never feel the same to being ravaged in a carriage like… there was no time. And now, honestly, he cant take it back without ruining her. He will have to endure lol

I think people are just being overly critical, like no one is perfect, Pen not telling Colin and her tendency to lie is a character flaw, and it makes her more interesting and relatable, same with Colin acting up in front of his buddies last season , saying unkind things about Pen and people still wouldn't forgive him, like chill, are these critics all perfect humans who never made a mistake or said a hurtful thing?!

@@aquele4virou3you’re doing to much☠️. he asked to marry her because he wants to be with her and her being lady whistledown ultimately isn’t going to change that. however anyone would be mad if they found out someone had a secret gossip blog and they wrote many ruinous things about their family. she wouldn’t have told him she was LW even if he did decide to court her first and she literally says in the trailer she doesn’t want to tell him so what’s your point☠️.

@@booklover007 My point is Eloise is being unfair in meddling, although I understand where she comes from. While analyzing how it would work at the time, Eloise clearly doesn’t understand society protocols will apply whether she agrees or not. Obviously, Colin has the right of being mad (and so did Eloise). But none of them can understand Penelope’s reasons because they have privileges she doesn’t. A supportive family, a good mother and loving siblings. Pen’s father was disgraced (and so was her cousin). She doesn’t have a male relative to support her if she does not marry, her sisters don’t treat her well. Eloise has so far three brothers and a sister to fall back on if she were to not marry. And Colin is a man. So Eloise giving her an ultimatum that could end up breaking up the engagement and at the same time ruining her only source of income is a problem. LW might have written about their family, but she never lied. Hell, she saved Eloise, Francesca and Hyacinth, because Eloise didn’t listen to her about not meeting a boy unchaperoned. A fallen sister means zero marriage prospects. She doesn’t want to tell him now because she is afraid, not only of his reaction, but having to conform to societal norms and give up having control of the narrative (that she uses to protect herself and those she loves). She has tasted power and the freedom it gives her. A broken engagement is very different than a courtship that doesn’t work. We have no idea what she would have decided if Colin courted her. We can think logically instead of assuming things. Also, this is just a silly discussion on opinions and interpretations lol there’s no doing too much or too little. I’m just talking about how things worked for women at the time. Everything is nuanced. There’s no villain or hero here. They are all human making mistakes. Colin has the right of not wanting to marry her if he were to find out, but he would have to live with knowing there’s no going back from that for her. So there’s no easy way out for both of them due to how they came to be engaged. And we can politely agree to disagree.

@@thewatchaholic I hear you, I feel you, I agree with you, BUT I think for that time the mom is actually being very realistic. I also think we should take in consideration that Violet's and Lady Featherington's (LF) advise to their children is often influenced by their own experiences. Violet had a love match and had a very happy and carefree marriage, so she has a very romantic and optimistic view on life. LF didn't exactly have the same journey, so she is more pessimistic and pragmatic about certain things. They represent both sides of the spectrum. From what we saw from that conversation in the trailer, I don't nessecerely feel like she's saying ladies SHOULD NOT HAVE dreams (although she might, we will see), but rather saying that ladies' dreams very rarely come true in the world they live in and that Penelope should be aware of this. Now, obviously I think that everything will turn out fine for Penelope and that Colin will be excepting in the end, but that is a very lucky situation to be in that not everyone gets. So, do I always agree with LF: absolutely not. But I understand where she is coming from and I respect her in her own way. I think LF's internal motto is something like: You can hope for the best if you want, but you better be prepared for the worst.

Like why can’t she find love….shes always blaming her for not doing things right and that rubs me the wrong way. So that I can’t get behind that she’s always treated her the worse out of the 3 sisters. Like she’s the step daughter she never wanted to have. Idk.🤷‍♀️

I have a theory I don’t think the confrontation we are seeing is the one where he finds out she is lady w because she is saying she can take care of herself and he is saying well then what good I am to you. That seems more like he feels he should be protecting her and if she can protect herself than what is his job as a husband. I think this confrontation is after they are married. I think this is after they have already gotten past the secret I think this has to do with her getting caught as lady w by the ton. Maybe she is trying to slip away from their home to go publish another column to unmask Cressida cause maybe he did stop her from doing it when he followed her or maybe Cressida is going to try to blackmail pen like In the book and she is trying to slip away to stop her somehow. I don’t know I got the feeling they were already married during that confrontation. Also the part he is sitting in the sofa and she is coming out of a bedroom. If they weren’t married no way in hell would she spend the night with him in a house alone. I know Polin like to dance around rules like they don’t apply to them but that would be a bit much even for them. It would be way too obvious that they have eaten the cake before the party.

Except violet who figured it out. So she’s the one who’s thrilled.

Just another servant girl, tired from a long day, or maybe on an errand for her mistress, in a hired carriage as a splurge to rest her aching feet, or to facilitate the speed her lady requires, would make her invisible to nearly everyone. No one would look twice. She snuck out to speak to Eloise, so if she went out the servant's entrance, she's in the clear

The fact that everyone has to even think about their schedule to watch this show is a sign on how much of a chokehold this show has on people. It is crazy.

Omg for real!! He looks soo sad and also so mad at the same time. And at first I didn’t realize he was like “ sleeping on the couch” but then after a couple of watches I noticed the pillows and said well damn. Oh my I am not ready for how badly this is gonna hurt him.

i mean pen is having panic attacks over this and her knowing someone could put her secret out at anytime i don’t see how she can still trust her after this.

And at the same time, Colin is her BROTHER! If there was no engagement Eloise would keep the secret. She has so far... but I agree. Friendship will be hard.

@@shinshin1000 But in their dance scene (wedding dance) they look upset at each other, so I think he finds out before they get married, but he still continues to marry her despite being mad (especially since he’s the man, he can’t be the one to break off the engagement). In the trailer you can also see he is sleeping on the couch of their new home, so I think he’ll be mad for the entirety of maybe ep 7, and ep 6 is when he finds out? No spoilers please if you know the order of events keep it to yourself. But ep 8 is maybe when they make up?

Colin will likely find out episode 6 but then Cressida will lie and say she is lady whistledown and bc Pen rightfully hates her she will put herself at risk to prove Cressida is a liar and Colin will be upset about it. If pen can forgive Colin for publicly embarrassing her and basically implying she is undesirable. And Eloise for outing her secret with Colin then Colin can forgive pen.

He will def forgive her..he is way too in love with her to not forgive her ! Like did pen mess up..absolutely. But they love each other tooo much to not end up together in this story.

Oh my really you don’t see the chemistry…to me the chemistry is in those moments that they laugh together and they have their sweet kisses. It feels so real that they are friends who have fallen in love. I def do think that Colin and pen have chemistry. What Anthony and Kate had was this amazing passionate gaze for each other that is unmatched in a way. They have a very different kind of love story that is amazing to watch in season 2. Very different but I do agree amazing chemistry.
