I think this might be my favourite episode so far. Here is my reaction to Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 3. Wonderfully played Shonda. Wonderfully played.

I feel the pining could have been extended within certain scenes, for example an xtra dance w lord Debling, for Colin to have actually seen lord Deb rescue Pen, it wasn’t clear whether he actually saw it, and maybe Colin looking out HIS window for her, little crumbs like that would have been more impactful, and of course the flashback of when they were kids 😢, I think they’ve confirmed in an interview it’s not gonna happen, which is odd because they’ve done for the previous 2 seasons… we’ll have to wait for part 2
its so funny how so many times before, Colin would always reference Penelope as "such a good friend" and in this episode, SO MANY PPL keep reiterating that same phrase to him and its KILLING HIM😭😭🤭
I really love that Violet is watching when Colin goes to Pen, she was all smile and you can see her eyes goes to Debling when he interrupted Colin & Pen haha. She even moved her head when someone blocked her view hahaha, Mama Bridgerton is so cute in that scene.
People are saying that Penelope has enough time to run away from the balloon, but Nicola herself confirmed that Penelope was busy checking Colin out instead of running 😂
😂😂Poor Colin ans his internal feelings. I love watching how Penelope is unintentionally firing darts at his heart. Fantastic epsiode. I definitely will be rewatching epsiode 3 moments again and again till June gives us more Pollen moments
I loved your reactions because it’s exactly what do did too! Colin trying to get the ballon and save her while she’s frozen to the spot because her man looks so good pulling on the ropes… chef’s kiss.
I was laughing at Colin the entire time. He became so flustered and lovesick for her after that kiss. I laughed just as much as the clip of Jonah laughing for Spider-Man 2, 2:51. Love your reaction. I cannot wait to see your reaction episode 4. It is going to be priceless. Thanks for uploading.

I don't mind either. Bridgerton is an ensemble series, it has been since the beginning. That being said, I wouldn't mind more time with Colin and Penelope.
ik that there are a lot of subplots, but one that I really hope we dive a little deeper into is Violet with her potential gardener (sorry yk i had to)😭🤭
You're so right! There are definitely a lot of plot lines going on and it's a bit too overwhelming. Like, I actually wish I had a second to digest some of them, but I can't since it's too much. I just hope all these other parts don't drown out the main story which is def Pen and Colin; there is so much to those characters from the books, I hope they try to stay centered on them :)
I really like all the storylines this season. Bridgerton is an ensemble series, it has been since the beginning. That being said, I wouldn't mind more time with Colin and Penelope.
@@thewatchaholic You know, I saw someone on Instagram comparing how many minutes and seconds the leads of each season spent together in the first 4 episodes, and it's very very similar. She even said that it's a formula Netflix uses in the series.

There’s a lot of storylines going on. I wish they narrowed them down to 3 or 4 and let the others wait until another season or the second half of the season.
He does have some good eye contact I will give him that 🤣🤣 lest us never forget that face when pen combs her fingers through his hair 🤣👀🔥💯 hahaha! That will live on forever.
I do like that Colin is the one pining for Pen. I don't find it hard to follow all the storylines, season 2 had the same amount of storylines to me 🤷🏽♀️. I especiallly liked Francesca and John, though I dont think it will be end game with how they set it up.
i personally love how many characters are getting screen time and how many plotlines we’ve got going on. I’ve always felt we didn’t get enough of the side plotlines and dynamics, so i’m ecstatic! I don’t think it’s hard to follow at all! I was already paying attention to all those side characters so if anything now I don’t have to put in as much effort to follow their storylines since the show is kinda doing it for me. I actually feel like they could delve even MORE into the side characters. There are so many maids and housekeepers and footmen we see on a regular basis, and I know the characters basically view them as furniture, however as a modern human I do not, and I would like to learn more about them since they’re already familiar faces. Like to me if a show is too focused on only the main couple then it feels unrealistic and boring. There are so many cool characters, and life is more than just romantic relationships; it feels like a waste of a show to only focus on 2 of the characters when you could highlight different personalities with plotlines and screentime.
I thought it was Pen dreaming about Colin but I was surprised to find it opposite! Also tell me why I remember this episode but don't remember two of the scenes that happened?? Love the reaction!
I loved this episode!!!!! I love that hes the one pinning for her but i wish we got more of hia jealousy and tryna get her attention. I was legit cackling when he bought the same dessert as Pen when he was thinking of her lips like mhm you go ahead suffer colin until you get some sense to go get your woman hahaha Everyone throwing the word friend in his face was f*ucking greatttt lmaoo like pure writers Gold. It was KILLLINNNG HIM each time. Violet is great every season and I'm excited to see her little story with this new man. Shes such a gem. I just love how well she knows each of her children. She's so intentional with her interactions with each of them each season which I just love. She truly knows her own children more than the know themselves. Like I just loved seeing her realize Colin was falling for pen even before he accepted it and then just lurking half the time like go get her son 😂😂😂 like yasssss momma B yasssssss
Finally someone who appreciates exactly how GOOD this episode was!!!🥰😍 I personally don’t mind the many storylines. Although I do which we got more Pen and Colin. The featherington sisters have been a surprising joy this season. I could do without the Benedict storyline, but I understand it’s a set up for next season.

I wanted more Benedict and less featherington sisters hahaha I just have never cared about them…!but I love Benedict and I want him to seriously fall in love already. I hate that they just give him women to hook up with every season. I want to see him actually like someone for real.
Your face when you saw Lord Samardani💀🤣 Literally, same I was like pls no anyone but him. He's like the opposite of what Francesca is seeking. His sideburns were giving me S1 Anthony flashbacks. One kiss was all it took for Colin to be like oh shit Penelope is the love of my life! The way they were awkward in that tree scene I loved it! Also, like when Colin was like yea I had no dreams I laughed. Absolutely loved watching Colin suffer while watching Penelope! I've literally been rewatching Polin scenes, I find it ver entertaining. I love watching reaction videos too, thanks for uploading consistently everyday! I always look forward to watching! 💕I agree there are so many side storylines, I honestly am biased I wanted more Polin scenes and Kanthony scenes! Violet is so good at noticing what's up with her kids each season!
Yesssss!! We are on the same page with everything. I have been rewatching their scenes and really dissecting them and honestly it has helped me like Colin more and understand him more…I will say they ain’t no babie from season 1 anymore. ❤️🔥
TOTALLY AGREE. I honestly am looking forward to watching the season as a whole to see how well it flowed, because right now it just feels like " and they lived happily ever after" and we all know shit is about to go DOWN in this second part.
I love Bridgerton (and Polin), and I'm really enjoying this season, so far. That said, while I do think other storylines are needed, I agree with you that they're cramming too many into one season. Right now, some of the storylines feel unnecessary or like they could wait until next season. But I guess we'll need to see how the entire season plays out before deciding for certain. Either way, I think they should have cut down on the number of storylines or extended the number of episodes to make room for them. Looking forward to your Episode 4 reaction!

It better be Benedict’s season next. I really wanted his season now but now I’m kind of glad that they did Colin and Pen’s story so she can finally get her man and we don’t have to see her pining for him all season and sad
The pining! The longing stares! The cake eating! Also pirate Colin's hero moment. And my favorite - the Willow tree banter, visually stunning and romantic! All amazing. But absolutely agree - WAY TOO MANY SUBPLOTS. You forgot Francesca's plot and the Queen's "sparkler" plot. I would say I could've done without Benedicts yet-another-affair and the Mondriches. Hopefully the Mondriches will be more fleshed out in Part 2 to make me care. And if it's just a matter of getting Benedict some screen time - show him taking over Viscount duties while Anthony is on honeymoon. Honestly, take out at least 2 subplots and give me the young Polin meet-cute flashback!
The mondirches was the worst for me. I really like Benedict so I don’t mind besides I think he has to be the next lead sooo they have to set him up for heartbreak or something going wrong ..which I can see from part 2 trailer as he’s in it a lot.
@thewatchaholic Just watched your follow-up video on Bridgerton part 1 where you discussed Benedict being set up for heartbreak! I can get on board with that! Sold! I just wished to see him as Viscount-on-standby -maybe being bored with the duties and wishing he hadn't quit art! That would've added more layers to him.

I think all the seasons have focused on multiple storylines at once. Season 1 focused on the featherinton scandal, the boxing back story, Colin’s scandal with Marina, Anthony and the opera singer. Season 2 focused on Eloise scandal with the paper boy, Benedict’s art school , Anthony’s dad backstory and violets, Eloise and Pen drama, and the other Featherington scandal. I’m sure I am missing other backstories that I forgot about lol Maybe it just flows differently because of the new hires?
🤣 yeah I feel that. I don’t have feelings about them one way or another. I know they have to fill in the episode gaps somehow. I did wish we had a few more Colin and Pen scenes though in the first four episodes.

Can I just say even though I’m loving season 3, I was a little disappointed by how short Collin’s “lessons” were..it actually didn’t make much sense to me..I felt like he did nothing really… I feel the writers could have played that out more too you know? Made it seem like actual lessons and not just a couple quick conversations with a couple of tips and a few confidence boosting lessons. 🤷🏻♀️🤣
@@lukawssl i think all these other storylines really took away from the leads. That was my only gripe for the season so far...to much other people too little colin and penelope. I would have been very happy with another one of those scenes under the tree where they were all nervous and shit haha..that killed me.
i don't mind some of the other plot lines like the featherington's baby race (imo they don't take up too much screen time but when they do they definitely get a giggle out of me) and francesca (i like that they're building up her plot line early on, it makes me feel more attached to her character). i do get a bit bored with the mondrich family subplot, though looking at part 2's trailer, they're probably hinting that they'll have something to do with whistledown's reveal. as for benedict, no hate but i just skip his scenes 😭😭 idk i love him but i just want him to fall in love with his actual love interest they definitely do get a bit much but this season's subplots are much better than s2's imo. with s2 i almost dropped it with how boring the subplots were (paired w the fact that im not a huge enemies to lovers fan..)
Polin so far has been short changed by the other storylines. I've read the books many moons ago so, I know all the players. It seems they have gone to a pick your own adventure story. Nonetheless I ❤
Honestly, I was not a fan of the Pen and Colin romance. It was fan service. But when you boil it down, he Still doesn't know she's whistle down (huge red flag) and he was hoeing around town with every lady of the night (huge red flag). Personally, I liked her better off with Debling because both of their quirky personalities did compliment each other.
The funny thing is that Debling doesn't exist in the book and the Rake version of Colin doesn't happen in the book either so I think it's just Shonda's take on updating the story
I think Nicola and Luke did a great job with these 4 episodes..the man lost it when he kissed her. It was like he finally was like omg she’s always been the one!! He is also such a kind character I can’t see him like leaving Penelope after he finds out the truth. I feel like he will be hella mad of course but then he’s gonna be so in love with her he is just going to accept her. I did love lord debling but he didn’t want a love match and pen clearly did..even if it wasn’t going to be with Colin.
@@thewatchaholic Yepp, I totally agree. And it seems like the Kent state has some meaning in the books idk, but they could've had less screen time and everything would be fine :/
