This channel is great very well put across. I have a 2023 RS with love and remorse feelings all the time with pretty much the same mods as you. Im constantly battling with gearing and yet so decide which i want to stay with as they all have pros and cons depending on usage. Back to tyres i took the stock Dunlops off after 1000 miles and fitted the S22s which I've had on many other bikes and they are amazing on the Z900RS in fact ive had 2 sets on so far...the only criticism would be i hardly got much mileage out of them 2000 miles and they were cooked so i went with the Michelin Pilot Road 6.... again amazing tyres ive had many sets on other bikes with no issues BUT imho they do not suit the RS specially if you push hard in the corners the front gets messy and there are signs of the tyre de laminating and trust me ive tried different tyre pressures and suspension tweaks (these tyres work well for normal riding style and conditions and expect to get very high miles from a set. So ordered another set of S22s they are fantastic and very stable so looking forward to that nice new tyre feeling. Every time i think do i need another sport bike that is lighter and faster its a case of no matter what we have always wanting what we don't have...But then i stop at a coffee stop bike meet and when i walk outside there is usually a small gathering around my Z900RS all talking about how good it looks and then i realise why i bought it in the first place and to be honest this constant tweaking is all part of the fun. In 10 years time and onwards this bike will still look the part Kawasaki did a great job. i don't think the same can be said for most of the current insect style bikes that will soon start to look dated and out of fashion with and current climate where people have to chase the latest tech all the time. This is not a criticism against the modern bike i love them and have a few im just giving my honest opinion after many remorseful purchases lol. Great channel lets have more👍 Z900rs se Bridgestone S22s bike on 8500 miles👌
With the front fork 2 and 1/4 turns from seated I am at 39 mm up front. And for the rear, with the rear spring at 187 mm I am at 38 mm of sag out back.
Swapped out the stock garbage Dunlops on my Suzuki GSX S1000GT to the Micheline Road 6 and bumped up the rear from a 190/50/R17 to a 190/55/R17... 10,000KM's in and the tires still look brand new and they take corners and twisties like a champ! Meanwhile my buddy has gone through 2 S22's on his bike and nearing the 3rd replacement....
I swapped those complete garbage Dunlop road sport 2s that came on my 24’ GSXS out with road 6s immediately after buying it. Those road 6s are AMAZING. Power 2ct are great budget tires as well.
