I might not be able to because it seems it's locked behind a later episode but I'm really intrigued by the Detective profession, I think that one will be a lot of fun so hoping to do that.
I'll go for the unlocks, anything that has a box to check and I feel like doing at this time with an emphasis on time gated stuffs. Gathering skills have offline training methods, there may be breakpoints(like you get xp rate tiers depending on level when afk so you want to get to x lvl before disconnecting on the afk node), I'll try hitting those without forcing too much IF they exist but that's it. Good chances that all those afk rates are gated mainly by raw account progression(getting to next chapter, unlocking a zone and so on). tl;dr; when you do not know a mmo, you do the main story quest, in RS it is quest log > diaries > challenge log, who knows what exactly will it be in this game but I look forward to it. If there is big money to be made, especially early on, things that require consistent attention will be invaluable early on, identfying a daily grind that gives incremental returns for example will be imba the first month as people are still figuring shits out because if you focus like 100 hours on a skill, at the 200h mark you'll be 10 times more on it, you won't have a market nor anything else, it will be almost start from scratch. As in RS, skills that require significative commitment will be stronger as well, in RS and modern Runescape both, slayer is a strong skill for money making and you can't really saturate the market because there will always be players who do not participate in it. What I'm afraid in BS is the eventual like of skill gated content, doing harder bosses in rs is generally my way of getting rich, as I can do stuffs better and faster than enough of the playerbase so I get value by just playing the game but ultimatly I'll do anything I feel like doing, I'm not a pve fanatic, I can enjoy any form of grind that I feel engaging.
because player to player trading isn't unlocked until crenopolis (it seems) I don't want to focus too much on the gathering skills before we have access to that. We also don't know what the bank situation is like in Hopeport and hopefully there is access to that or something else in the mines. Maybe there's a non-bank uni-storage system like a magic storage of some sort if not a bank. That'd be easier to implement in far-flung areas, but then this is the designer of RS. But we've already seen lots of deviation from the original recipe and that's a good thing. I think Andrew is aiming to bring together old-style gaming sensibilities with more modern QoL realities from the info we already have. We'll see. Interestingly there's a belt icon on the UI from the video you used today which I didn't notice before in other inventory/UI screenshots. Is that for in-combat use items? who knows. I want to blacksmith and be a detective myself, but I'm going to set up one of my alts to idle fish and cook asap, while the third will woodchop idle asap too. Probably as soon as I find a good AFK mining spot on my main.
All good points. There is definitely a lot left about this game that we just don't know yet. So you are thinking you will have to quest through episodes to unlock later ones. I'm thinking these episodes are more towns and areas either 4 being unlocked right at launch for p2p so technically crenopolis would be unlocked day 1, regardless running alts is a smart idea but imma just stick to one account. I'm hoping good gear can b crafted via blacksmith
I don't think they have brought that up at all, I would imagine not on mobile for a long time if ever. Today is a different age though so they maybe have had mobile in their minds throughout development and it won't be too much work to port it. I wouldn't anticipate it any time in the near future though
I'm not planning on hitting that right away mainly because I think it will be time consuming. Depending on what rewards it gives though my opinion might change
@@FringePatriotGaming i just always wanted to be a detective in a game. Search for clues, follow leads, collect damning evidence. Never know what you may discover hehe
