I have discovered a more cost effective way to improve the light quality of your tail loghts, specifically for the jeep cherokee xj. Check out this video and feel free to let me know what you all think.
I bought the Amazon sockets. I replayed the wire splice sequence on the videi about a dozen times, but have bad hearing so could not catch it all. Could you please write it out in the comments? Thanks! To splice them did you cut the orig wire, cut back the insulation and then use a crimped connection with heat shrink tubing over it?
Yes just cut the wire on your current brake light. Splice the donor bulb socket and twist the two wires together. There are 3 wires be sure you do this to all of them, they should also be color matched. I used 18-22 gauge wire connector with built in heat shtick that I purchase at my local Advanced Auto.
@@Tylerjschmidt If the passenger's side lens is clear and the driver's side is red in the same area you have a red rear fog light. Very common (mandatory ) in Europe and common on many imported cars like my Volvo. Often miss used my North Americans that are not familiar with the red rear fog light. To be used only in very poor visibility, like any front fog light.
