This isnt from this video but this is my favorite quote "The funny thing about people who call people like me satanists is that they believe in satan and I dont" -Oli Sykes
PicNicBitches uh. you're speaking about LeVayan satanism. there is such a thing as Satan in Thiestic Satanism. get yo facts right before you correct someone
if you're not from Yorkshire you just wouldn't get it, you know what I mean. 😁 like I'm sure you say things over and over, I don't know where you are from, but Americans with this "bruh" thing drives me mad. it's just a thing depending on where you're from. I probably say it way too much too😂😂
That's the spirit is one of the best albums that Bring Me The Horizon had ever made. My top four favorite songs from that album is 1: Happy Song, 2: Throne, 3: Avalanche, 4: Oh no.
well it's a good album in the alternative scene, but if you're a fan of metalcore, which is what the band started out with (as well as deathcore) then it's pretty weak
@@FelixMarshFTW yeah that's what they set out to be, but evolving is the only way forward for a band, and my tastes have changed so much over the years, just like for Oli and the band, weak is not a good word, it's a matter of opinion.
my favourite bring me the horizon song is "Pray For plagues" its the only song in which the lead singer (Oli Skys) sings in a pure soft and high pitched voice.......truly the most softest and beautiful song ever. Please check it out! Please!
this comment was originally made by OsirisPranks but i like the idea so i am gonna share it "New drinking game: Every time Oliver says "You know what I mean", have a shot of vodka."
As much as I enjoy their old heavy work, Doomed is the best song they've ever written. It has become one of my top 3 favorite songs of all time. So much power and creativity behind that song, it captures what truly raw emotion is like when combined with creativity. I only wish Oli could actually sing it live and not make Jordan and the crowd sing it.
Im so impressed by these guys, the topics they talk about in this video and on the lyrics for the first 2 songs doomed and happy song have become such a massive issue 10 years after the writing of this album.
it kinda makes me feel special that I'm able to understand what Oli is saying as not many people can lmao, I live near Sheffield though so I'm quite familiar with it
Watching this after Post Human : Survival Horror came out. That's The Spirit has always been my favorite album of theirs, but Post Human rivals that spot.
Am I the only one who's actually following what he's saying when he's talking about how we distract ourselves from our inner problems & the same is said when kids are given an ipad, they are taught to constantly distract themselves so they're never comfortable sitting with themselves and their thoughts and emotions- in the silence, and that has a knock on effect when it all builds up and can lead to a point where they just cave in and develop depression!
And the fact he said after rehab he didn't really want to scream anymore, and interviews the band said all together that they like this type of music way more than any of their other albums.
thats why i want to get a yin yang tattoo because i know that there is always bad in good and ther is always good in bad. that was the only thing that kept me alive and moving.
Regardless of the endless, the tedious and, in all honesty, the pointless debate over which era of BMTH is better, when we all understand that music is subjective and ever evolving, we all know (even if it is way deep down in the hearts of the OG BMTH purists) that "That's The Spirit" is about as perfect an album as you can get. ;) And that undeniable fact of nature is only further proven, and underscored, by the out of body experience inducing live performances at Royal Albert Hall in 2016! Now, in all seriousness, though, it's nearly been a decade since the release of TTS and the entire project still holds up and packs just as much of a punch now as it did in the Fall of 2015. ...I know that there are many who are genuine in their hatred, but a lot of the hate that the OG fans express for that period in BMTH's history comes off a bit like the millions of people who shit on Nickelback when they're around their friends, but sing along to every single NB track that comes on the radio while nobody is around...
I honestly can't understand why people leave so much hate. Don't like the band, don't watch their interview; simple. Take your negitave asses elsewhere. ty x
