About The Wheel of Time:

I'd watch a 2-hour documentary only on costumes. Even more. They are mesmerizing and so many details go into even the smallest parts of background characters. Absolutely incredible!

I love how the colour of Lan's outfit is so close to how it's described in the books! All the little details in each costume and how tactile they look on screen, it really demonstrates the time, effort and dedication that went into them. Hats off to the creative and making teams, just first class and it really shows!

Absolutely adore these behind-the-scenes vignettes. The dedication to detail and character are top notch. What I find myself wondering about is how these marvelous costumes are supposed to still look so pristine after months of the Two Rivers kids travelling and often sleeping rough. That rather defies reality.

my mom is a master stitcher for a Shakespeare festival, OSF, so I can appreciate the amount of work it takes, But the work is too clean for this show! we need to see how the actors have lived in their customs and teared them up, distress distress distress they look to amazing and clean as of right now. just my thoughts... I loved walking through the shop as a kid and seeing and trying on costumes as the cutters and leather workers made new stuff, it's an amazing process.

I enjoyed this show, very entertaining although it's eerily a bit similar to The Lord of the Rings. Hoping the vfx and cinematography be improved by bigger budget on season 2.

Some of the most amazing costumes for show or film that I've ever seen. Quite literally made me cry from the beauty and craftsmanship of all of them! I've been making costumes for myself, theater, and cosplayers for 30+ years, and these were awesome! My favorite part of the show. Thank you, Isis and team!

The costumes is incredible, indeed... but the problem is that they haven't worn them in. Game of Thrones had the wardrobe of the characters worn for weeks before being used during filming, which made the clothes worn in and look "real.

I'm not super sure of the Aes Sedai having to dress in their Ajah colours all the time vs. just regular clothes + some kind of signifying accessory (like a shawl, for instance). I think maybe that was a little too on the nose and could have been done more subtly. That aside, the costumes look fantastic.

You had the actors You had the designers You didn't have the writers. At least not ones with the talent to completely burn and then rebuild the plot of the books Try to remember that for season 2: That there is a reason why Jordan's novels are beloved, and that all the uncessary changes only pissed people off

A lot of people liked the changes. Personally, I think a majority of them made sense and the show was better for it. At least until episode 8, but a lot of those changes were out of their hands due to covid and Barney leaving

Stop making everyone look like they just walked freshly out of a tailor, everyone looks so clean and somehow walking around in freshly pressed clothes. It's really jarring.

Are we watching the same show? After battles they End up dirty and Hurt. But they clean themselves. Is not medieval times. People knows how important Is to be clean and Aes sedai even use the one power to clean themselves and their warders. It actually shows that they know what they are doing. So they will not stop making everyone look fine.

@@Rafdi13 It's not necessarily the dirt that's the issue. Take Rand for example, it literally looks like that woolen jumper he's got has come from a shop and been ironed. I love the show but there's definitely an issue with how things look, especially the clothing in a lot of scenes.

Stop with this 'Its not medieval' bullshit. Even in the 21st century, people don't look as clean and fresh as the people in this show. The characters literally look like some runaway models wearing fresh designer clothes.

I wish they made Moiraine's costume look more like that concept art. It looks so much cooler and more detailed than what we got.

The only problem is that the ajahs are too colour coded. Something like what Nynaeve wears, ie predominantly green mixed with brown and darker fabrics, looks more realistic for a green sister than what Alanna and the other green sisters are wearing all the time. I can accept Sitters strictly wearing their Ajah colours during Hall meetings, or even sisters wearing Ajah colours while they are in the Tower due to tower politics. But it looks weird that the sisters we have seen so far are wearing colours strictly like a uniform even when they are not in the tower, especially the lone Aes Sedais who may bump into Whitecloaks like Valda (And the show should be showing Siuan and at least the red and green Ajah being angered and sending forces against Valda now that they know that he is hunting down lone sisters). Light I hate Salli Richardson and her Ep5 and 6. So many holes in her plot logic that make you go WTF.

Remember that 5 and 6 were made as they realized that Barney Harris was leaving with little notice. That's a nightmare scenario requiring rapid adaptation, and flaws should be expected.

According to Robert Jordan's caracters, Aes Sedai wore their colors in or out of the tower... "per Tower rules" Ninaeve nor Egwene are not yet Aes Sedai therefore they wear their original dress code from the three rivers, They will wear white once they are accepted as novices and then they will ascend to their choice color...

I think having the Aes Sedai wear their colors all the time was a good choice. It's easy enough to confuse and misremember who the different Aes Sedai are + their ajahs in the books. In the show, that problem is magnified. Having them always wearing their colors helps to clarify things for new viewers

The outfits could be made by a child if they told the story correctly instead all this work it to distract from the shows awful writing . It’s just lipstick on a pig .
