I am building an endurance race car at the moment, platform is a 2004 audi s4, I kinda wanna toss a v10 in it. I think the 5.2 is only 34lbs more than the 4.2. we should link up.

Plus, my fiancé would kill me😂 Her motion sickness is pretty bad when I shift with my 252 horses. Add a V10 to that and I would have to setup my grave😂😂

Hi! I'm planning a kitcar build with either a Audi 4.2 V8 or this V10. Do you know all this kind about the V8 as well? How easy is it to use this engines as a stand alone like that? If you are interested in to share some knowledgewith me, I should be very happy.
So, one thing to consider, not all audi 4.2 v8s are the same. Watch out for plastic timing chain guides in particular. If you can find a bns or cfsa engine youll be much happier with the results than some of the others.
Any chance you're looking for some help with the heavy lifting..? I would be willing to trade an extra set of hands for your first hand knowledge on any this.
I'm looking to grab one of these and put it into my mid 70's f-150. So knowing the bare minimum wiring needs would be clutch. Any chance you could do a write up of all the engine necessary items and wiring? Radiator fans, temp sensors, 02's etc... Great stuff tho!

I've the s8 and always thought about a manual swap, surely the rs4 b7 manual box would be a possibility? Have you done anything witht the gearbox side before?
Joel, I wouldn’t mind to pay for a consultation time. I would like to know the external dimensions of the engine /transmission group to swap them in another type of car. It is a big investment to source the engine and transmission and I don’t even know if I’m going to be any close to make it happen… With the exhaust headers, it looks it is all getting pretty wide!

This might just might make me reconsider a 4.2 swap for my A6 and go start planning for a 5.2. It's a pretty cool idea to put together and sell 5.2 swap kits, I don't think I've seen anyone make any sort of swap kit for the better Audi engines like the 4.2, 5.2, or 3.0T
I don't think I have either and while it won't be a full swap kit, you'd still need figure out engine mounts and all that stuff. Coolant line routing will be made available to make it easy
@@joelfrancisco3798 Ah yeah, engine mounting and exhaust routing will probably be the biggest things to figure out for someone, but at least the wiring would be considerably simplified thanks to your kit.
Hey man considering dropping one of these motors in an rx7 2nd gen. Engine bay is huge so we shall see. Cool to see aftermarket support from other car guys!
So I have question if you don’t mind I’ve seen people fit these motors the 5.2 v10 in a5 s5 b8 would it fit in a 2010 b8 q5? This would be the most unique bas ass thing and I want to do it so bad I can source a low mileage v10 donor car and world love to do this
