Turkeys should be an honorable mention. They almost became the national bird instead of the eagle. I know they're spread across the world now because it's a good food source, but it's native to North America.

@@aureissimus Did you get to the end of the video where they mentioned honorable mentions like the bald eagle, which is also not exclusive to the US? They're in the entire North America, just like turkeys.

Sage grouse are able to fly, yes! They they can fly medium distances (up to 6 miles), which is further than guinea fowl and turkeys.

Chipmonks are everywhere. I'm in New England and they are a sign of spring.

Hawaiian Goose looks very similar to the Canadian Goose but smaller.

I grew up near the Everglades national park and we had gators everywhere. pygmy rattlers were an issue also. Unfortunately, the only Florida Panther I ever saw was dead on the side of Alligator Alley a highway that cuts across south Florida.

In the wild I’ve only come across the Hopi chipmunk. I see plenty of wildlife where I live but that’s the only one from this specific list that I’ve seen. 😊

People want to catch them for conservation efforts. Check the animals health, administer vaccinations from disease and distemper, take genetic samples, fit for radio collars to track movements, etc....
