Well, the orders where made dormant in 1975 but where activated again in 2022. They do have knigthly ranks but do not go with an "sir" or similar title. So give it a year or two and he will be, all 4 ABBAs was in march this year.

This year we reopened the Chivalric Orders in Sweden after being dormant since 1973-4, among the first ones awarded by the king was the members of ABBA who were made Commander, First Class, of the Royal Order of Vasa. I would not be surprised if Max Martin would receive his honors in the future.

In addition to the Polar Music Award that Max Martin received, Denniz Pop also got a small piece of recognition posthumously. A friend of mine noticed an unnamed little place in Central Stockholm, and suggested to the city that they name it "Dag Volles Plats" (Dag Volles place) after Denniz Pop. The city had neither thought about the place being unnamed, nor about Denniz not having anything named after him, so they accepted his suggestion right away and promptly put up steet name signs saying Dag Volles Plats.

Even Me, an average person, had the privilege of attending the "music school". I didn't have to qualify, just participate. I got to choose which instrument I wanted. Then I got individual tuition plus the chance to play in a group. After school I made a living as a musician. No star, but could live on the music. Then I trained for something else. Educated at the University. For what doesn't matter.

I got this feeling. Björn Skifs Hooked on a feeling from way back. He would have made it before ABBA. But he choose not to go further abroad. We swedes love him! Actor, singer, won the Eurovision 2 times, father and married to a beutiful swedish woman, once chosen to be the world most beutiful woman. Just saying. Edit. He sang at Victoria and Daniels wedding with Idolwinner Agnes. Dont remember the song. Help me..👍

I didn't think about it until I saw this clip, but Ingvar Kamprad (the guy who founded IKEA) and Max Martin have a bit of the same mentality. Low profile, imaginative innovators in their own field. I have heard a story that Ingvar Kamprad was once not even allowed into his own award ceremony. He got there in his old Volvo instead of a taxi or limousine. 😊Very Swedish, Jante. The bigger you get, the lower profile you have. I think many people know who started Facebook and who owns X but very few know who owns Spotify, or came up with Minecraft and Skype 😉

As you heard what we have in Sweden to encourage young people to keep up with music and every town in Sweden has a music association's premises where they can keep playing the instrument and there is also a Municipal Music School. That is why Sweden has many good artists and songwriters. Just take Celine Dion and look at the back of the album cover, and you will see other Swedes who wrote lyrics and music for her that have become big hits. You should also listen to talented Swedish artists and bands. Take Tommy Johansson for example, a little background on him: Tommy "ReinXeed" Johansson, born October 26, 1987 in Boden, is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, singer and music producer, best known for his work in the bands Sabaton and Majestica. Simplicity is not a bad thing. I can pay more money for at thing I really like and want to last for a long time but why get a lot of flashy junk when not so flashy stuff works as well? The money I save can be used to do other funny things with. It is the same with music and lyrics; a simple but catchy melody and lyrics where you really have the time to hear what is singing and also have a refrain that is appealing that is the thing. Music should be interesting for everyone in the world (makes more moneyyyy) and not all of us know other languages but if it is catchy you still like it and learn some of the words. I loved The Beatles when I was a kid, "Yellow submarin" 1969 and I was 5 yrs old. Had no clue of what they sang or what I was singing but apperently I also was "living i a yellow submarine". I leave the pronunciation out of discussion...😆

Some state i saw Max been involved in some 40% of all the hits for the last 20% But i kind of think you looking at the wrong dude. Its Denniz that is the Goat, not max. Max hits are a bit to formulaic. The number one hits is up to 27 now for max martin. But that is kind of misleading, because he have not always been listed on songs he have been involved with. The Mariah Cary on 4th place is a bit missleading. No she didn´t wrote all the songs here self, she cowrote them. by tradiation the preformer is always listed as primary writer if they are involved with writing the songs even if its just a little bit.

We haven't always been so progressive when it comes to HBTQIA+ in Sweden, I am sorry to say. We have done some amazing progress over the years, but as we have seen in the US, it can be changed in a very, very short time, and we have a super conservative governement backed up by the local fascist party in Sweden today. ... and they *hate* the progressive laws and publicly want to implement many of the recent US anti Trans laws...

Tell me you were educated in a social democratic school without telling me you were educated in a social democratic school. The most internationally hated/loved Swede is a climate conservative, hated internationally by conservatives and loved by progressives. Sweden and the rest of the West are economically fascist, you don't need a police state when the population believes that fascism is freedom/democracy. Your so-called local fascists are just 80's/Palme's people's home building social democrats, who by the way don't hate gays. If anything, they don't want Sweden to be filled with Abrahamic fundamentalists who just want to kill gays.
