That was also part of my training which I enjoyed the most. Why do you ask because when the Drill Sergeant asks you a question and you get it wrong. Let's just say you cannot exit the chamber until you get the right. We all get to walk around in a circle. When the mask comes off and the fun begins, we are like chickens when our head is chopped off. I still have those great memory and days when I service.
First off congratulations you two. I went to army boot camp decades ago where’s the gas smoke coming from the building as they exit maybe they have better stuff when I went though we had to recite are nine number service number with three seconds between numbers also our brith date such joy it was
I know a retired secret service officer. When he retired he opened a used bookstore. Às it’s none of my business I’m left to wonder if he saw awful things or doesn’t want for money.

I'm probably weird, but I did the gas chamber in the Navy. After we got out of it, I had a smoke. Like I said I'm probably weird, but I was in in the 80's, smoking was allowed during training.
I remember going through the gas house in the Navy in 1968. We couldn't smoke in training except in the barracks when the "smoking lamp" was lit. I remember crawling through the smokehouse filled with smoke from burning class A material without a mask. Someone had died a couple of weeks before. They warn you not to have anything in your mouth. He had chewing gum, started coughing and panicked, letting go of the guy in front him and pulling away from the guy holding him from behind, who was fortunate to be able to quickly catch up to the next guy in front of him because the smoke was too thick to see. the exits. As you probably remember you form a chain with the trainer leading you through. When they got him out the kid wasn't breathing and they were unsuccessful in resuscitating him.
I highly recommend you watch the video of Michelle Khare's challenge accepted series, on RU-vid where she actually went through some of the training exercises at the u.s.secret service academy, and actually participated in the motorcade ambush simulation, as well as other parts of the training., It actually gives a better perspective, more up-close-and-personal And it's definitely worth the watch

hahaha the gas chamber is not that bad. It got to the point where when I encountered in exercises I laughed at first and put on a mask. You get used to it in a way
