The Low Lever trains were an Oban-Glasgow-Oban working. Hard to catch unless staying out in the wilds, so i jumped on at Dumbarton. Not mega mileage but it still counts! The other services were on the Inverness-Edinburgh circuit. One did an out & back from Inverness, the other started in Perth, Up to Edinburgh, then an Inverness return and back to Perth. Yes, it does look like the class 305 is heading straight towards the same line as the 37!....

It was left open for me to jump on when i stopped filming. Although past the heyday of loco haulage in Scotland it still had plenty going on to keep you occupied, and that's not including 86s on Cross Country or class 91 & HST's. Nor forgetting the Met-Cam DMUs, always worth a ride or some classic EMU action with the 303s......all history now!

@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus Thankfully I managed to do that in the late 90's early 00's. I managed to get all the classes you mentioned plus a res 47 on one of the sleeper portions. Since then I have done the 73's on the west Highland and the Aberdeen portion and a 68 on the fife circle, there was only one 68 working the day I went.

Thank you.....this was the tail end of Scottish loco haulage but i still managed a full day out behind locos.....
