OG VID: • BIGGEST NFL HITS (HERE... All The Links You Need: linktr.ee/YeaJord Any videos you want me to react to? Drop a recommendation in the comments below! Love Yourself.
I’m dying! 😂 My new favorite thing is to watch people not from the US watch football hits. The top two things always said are “how is that legal” and “is he dead” 😂😂
Played football since 6th grade and I'm over 40 now. Got nagging injuries from football playing all the way through high school, but wouldn't change a thing. Loved it all. My dad went to state way back in the 50s and he told his coach told them as soon as you walk out if the locker room keep your head on a swivel because you are fair game. The best advice I got for the football field. Before the game got softened up with all the penalties it has now we had drills where we put our hands behind our back so our partners could practice proper "form tackling". Yep, it hurt.... ALOT. Some of the best times in my life though being out there and playing. Brutal, but a very rewarding sport. Much love from one Texan to another! 👍
The beauty of this video displays how football is played at all levels Pro, College, High School, and little Guy football. Players are taught how to hit from the very beginning. It’s not a game for passive person, it’s aggressive and violent at times but “God Damn”it’s such a great sport to play.
We like violence in our sports. A good hard hit laying someone out feels great when you do it and crowds love it. People will cheer for a good snot knocker like it's a score.
Fun fact: More than half of the hits in this video were from college ball, not NFL. This is a gladiator sport. It's not a matter of IF you will get hurt, it's WHEN and HOW BAD.
Yup... high school games always have at least one ambulance parked just off the field. College games have at least two ambulances. And NFL games have 3 or 4 parked right outside.
Troy Aikman was always getting hit in the chin. It never failed, he was always having to get his chin stitched/bandaged up. I can't imagine the pain he had to endure throughout his career.
React to "American football explained" NFL You can block a defender if your team mate has the ball . But only from the front not from behind. You used to be able to take a man down any way possible but new rules are that you can't lead with your helmet, hit an opponent in the head or neck area.
The average weight of a Defensive Tackle is approx 309 lbs. Average for Offensive Line is 314 lbs. If those are averages then their are some much heavier players on the field. Of course a Quarterback, Running Back or Wide Receiver is much lighter at around 200-224 lbs average. These guys are to us what I would think gladiators were in Rome. Their athleticism is insane. Watch one compilation about when NFL players defy gravity. They leap like sprinters and hurddlers in track and field. It's an amazing video. Just imagine a 6ft 3in, 225lb guy in full padding leaping so high with such hang time that he looks like Baryshnikov in full flight. damn
Now, having imagined that, imagine that those very large athletic people are not only extremely agile, but greasy fast also. Scary but wonderful...and fun.
When I was 10 years old, the coach told me to hit the guy hard enough, not just to stop the play... but hard enough the other kid didn't WANT to play the next down. Coach even told me to get a penalty on the first play of every game. He said if I hit the center hard enough before the first snap... he would play the rest of the game scared, and it would lead to fumbles and offsides penalties later. He was right.
Best athletes in USA are NFL players ...that's why we suck at football/soccer. Mix of every type of athlete tho. Incredible strength by linemen: see Larry Allen -who can bench press 705lbs(411kg) and runs 100m in 10.5. Olympic speed of skill positions: fastest recorded speed, in game, is 23.09mph(37.16km/h) Precision: See Drew Brees vs Olympic archer. See Tom Brady 7 rings. Unreal Athletic Freaks: Barry Sanders(see his top 50 insane runs), Randy Moss, Calvin "Megatron" Johnson, Marshon Lynch,
There was a game we use play in the 70s when i was a kid called ''kill the man with the ball'' it was played with a football no points no teams each kid for themselves just tried to run with the ball as long as you can without getting nailed, great fun some broken bones but still fun
6:54 if your vision of the tackler/blocker is obscured when the tackler/blocker makes contact it is called a illegal blindside block which results in a 15 yard penalty
I love how people thinks it’s only nfl because the dude that made it nfl biggest hits when it shows collages and high school and nfl and everyone I love nfl 😂

You said you’d get up & wanna fight the guy that blindsided you. Sure, after you wake up from the coma. Hitting someone like that is better than therapy, man.
To my friends across the pond, the hits in this video was the standard of play for decades. But in recent years, to try to protect players (due to countless post-career lawsuits, suicides, murders, and debilitating injuries sustained from playing NFL football), 98% of the tackles and blocks in this video is illegal and if done incurs penalties in the game. And the league office regularly levies fines and/or suspensions for such hits/blocks. Yet, even with these amendments to the rules, we're talking about over a century of this feral, savage, violent attitude being ingrained in our American psyche. It's not easily removed.
Some of the best athletes on the planet and this film had pee wees, high school, college and NFL. We Americans are extremely serious about our football. There are some football videos about the rules but I don’t think they’re very good. The best way to understand it is just watch the games and learn as you go. May take a little bit longer but it’s a lot more fun!!! By the way, these players take these hits throughout the games. Imaging doing this once a week ( on Sundays mostly) having, maybe, Monday off then the rest of the week training and conditioning through Friday and then back on the field on Sunday again for 17 weeks. Bad Ass!!!
I got my first concussion playing football when I was 10 lol.. had a couple more after that too.. no better feeling in the world when you lay someone out, but the flip side is not so fun.. the worst position to play is slot receiver.. coming across the middle is when you get smoked
This video, Here Comes the BOOM, is actually many years old, and they have changed a lot of the rules in recent years , so you will not see hits like that anymore. In my opinion, the game is a lot less exciting now, and a lot of the players are over paid pre-Madonna's
And by the way,. 90 % of those hits are legal, the only time it's illegal is when the yellow flag comes out. my college career ended when both of my legs were broken at the same time during a tackle. i continued on as a defensive coordinator until i graduated. it was the best time of my life.
Most of the people hit in this video got right back up after being hit. While in soccer they touch them in the slightest and they cry on the floor for two to ten minutes.
You are the most calmest reacted to this video, I've watched several people from the UK and Europe to get your thoughts on our American football. You are the most sensible in your reaction. I've heard some of the craziest comments like how is this game legal,to the players have to be taking steroids cause they are so big. Heck we grow boys big here don't matter the Colo of the skin we just have big guys. Children start as young as 7or 8 with flag football and then graduate up to tackle. It's played in our middle school age up through highschool and college.
If your helmet comes off you have to take the next play off. The person who gets hit has to leave as a penalty for not having the chin strap on tight enough.
Football is a game for wimps brother from across the big pond , if you get a chance to come to the US in the fall go watch a game, think you would be hooked . 🇺🇸🤝🇬🇧
Heres the thing, Brits and Europeans need to understand we Americans can be the nicest people You'll ever meet. But, we do enjoy our violence like the NFL and NHL. This is why Japan refers to the U.S. as "The Sleeping Giant."
They are expected to hit that hard, so hard that the ball comes out of the players hands (a fumble) before a single knee from the player hits the ground. Also can hit a person who might tackle a runner with the ball; a block. It is now illegal to aim helmut directly at other helmuts as long-term brain injuries of repeated contact. Also, can't grab the facemask of the opposing player. That is about it, as to what is illegal. But players have literally been hit thousands of times by the time they become pro.
It's more than mma. The linemen are around 6'6" to 6'8" 300 + lbs. The backs have sleeker physical stature. But they get a running start. Look at the video Lawrence Taylor hardest hits. This guy broke opponents leg's. He was ferocious. He played for the N. Y. Giant's. Crazy
Yo bro I'm American I played tight end which meant I was supposed to go and score touchdown I got hurt so many times catching the ball and getting hit blindsided and then I also played defensive end sack the quarterback
Wanna see a hit from hell check out 1985 Chicago bears against Detroit tigers Wilbur Marshall put a good hit on Detroit qb Joe Ferguson damn near killed him
He didn’t punch him. He hit him with his forearm. Delivering a blow with the forearm is generally completely legal though head contact probably wouldn’t be. Also, this wasn’t all NFL. It included several clips of college, John school and pee wee games. If one gets hit hard, there can’t be any going wild because of it. It all part of the game. You get pissed off, then just go hit the other guy harder on the next player. There’s a lot of opportunities for payback in this sport.
You brought this upon yourself all you had to do was give use representation for our tax money and we wouldn't of had to create the best sport of all time! Cowpens check that out!
Lmao idk whether the lil kid was a scammer or just “enterprising”.. scalped like 4million views off someone else’s vid at the time of YeaJord’s recording.
