God Bless the Prince of Wales is a British patriotic song written to mark the occasion of the marriage of the future King Edward VII to Alexandra of Denmark in 1863. It has since then become the unofficial anthem of the Prince of Wales, being played at among other events the Prince of Wales’ investiture ceremony. The words were written by the poet, John Ceiriog Hughes and the music by Henry Brinley Richards.
