Thank you so much for the covering, I love all topics about law and I know that the case is far to be over, already when the conservatorship ended. I remembered about it because of the book promotion and today I started searching news about it with the key words "conservatorship" "lawsuit" "trial", the basic but I only got results with the hearing for the end of the conservatorship and nothing else like if the end of it was the end of everything and justice have been served which is obviously bs but not a single media made an update (even a 4-5 minutes summary) and I find it quite outrageous ! Keep going because this case has to live in the mind of the public because justice must be done that Britney can get her money back and move on in her life for real !
Having no personal experience with conservatorships, my mind is literally boggled at how much additional cost the COURT seems to be putting on Britney by pushing crucial hearings further and further down the road while wasting time entertaining arguments in court on motions that should have been easily dealt with like this motion to seal. With how obvious a violation of previous seals on documents, why did ANY extra time or argument need to be spent on this when the judge could and should have just immediately granted Rosengart's motion to seal the violative filing????? Yeeted would not keep filing such wasteful and stalling motions if the court did not keep allowing and entertaining them. I just do not get how the court doesn't focus on the real matters at hand, like settling accounts or punishing malfeasance, and push back these other things that keep popping up. It just seems so obvious that this court is and has always been complicit in the financial exploitation of Britney and her estate through this conservatorship and it is infuriating to witness as an outsider, I cannot imagine how hard it continues to be for Britney.

This has to be one of the biggest scams in history. How in the world does the sole bread winner of a family (who’s actively working!) get deemed ‘incompetent’ by the very people who live off of her? I'm sure part of why the public failed to question it for so long was that it's literally SO absurd, no one believed the court would or COULD sanction this level of corruption right before our very eyes.

We developed the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards to tackle exactly this sort of problem over here, with the Mental Capacity Act 2005. I'm dating someone who worked in mental health for decades. Hell, it wasn't that long ago that women were locked up in mental health units for having a child out of wedlock. My partner remembers that a few older women were still in psychiatric institutions for this, when they began working in the field. This couldn't have been any earlier than 1980. These women would probably have been born between 1900 and 1920.

I have learned how to write a few court docs myself and have made bits of headway but not enough. Can't afford attorneys anymore. The facility litigated against me and my sister continues to file abuse of process cases against me or lawsuits in my mom's name that later get dismissed. Now she's put my mom on fraudulent hospice. My mom's money is spent to keep her imprisoned. The playbook is unfortunately isolate the victim target the advocates and funnel the money...I've reached out to several organizations but worry reform will be too late for my mom so I'm doing this myself. Having previously worked at an acct firm this could all be done in weeks. You put an acct in the trusts office, work from their computer, and do an audit. It would NEVER take years unless your acct person is being paid under the table to stall. This stinks to high heaven!
It took 2 years after my grandma's passing to finalize all of her nonsense after her death bc of a conservatorship. The conservator was so freaking crooked its not funny, still waiting on it to be finalized grams been gone 2.5 years now.

There were things during the course of Britney's conservatorship that just blow my mind because, if not done within the bounds of the conservatorship, those actions would be super illegal. Bugging her room? Spying on her communications? For what legitimate reason?? Absolutely insane. The whole situation sounds abusive to me, the conservatorship allowed it to happen, and it shields him from having to face consequences for many actions that would get most people thrown in the slammer for a while. Frankly, I find conservatorships on the whole to be ripe for abuse in the name of actions taken "for their own good", from those like Britney fought to get out of to the conservatorship mills that scam elderly people out of their homes and money. Oversight is not nearly strict enough, and the standards for allowing people to be put under one or kept under one need to be heavily reformed and standardized.
Totally agree with all the points you've made. I really hope this case highlights the dangers of conservatorship, and, hopefully it becomes an example to support change within the legal sector for this issue. Ultimately, a woman has lost decades of her life to this emotionally, mentally and financially distressing situation and nothing will undo the damage already done.

@Mickey Holmes Britney did not choose Rosengart as her lawyer. Rosengart works for Britney’s management company. He was recommended by Crowdsurf’s Cassie Petrey who manages Britney’s Instagram. Both Tri-Star and CrowdSurf are being paid well with Britney’s money as well as Rosengart himself.
@@lesoleciaborisova Rosengart's fees would likely be paid through some sub-company of Britney's, for sure. That might be the easiest way to go - paid for through the estate. Since he was retained prior to Britney being free, it makes sense that he'd have been paid through Britney's estate. She couldn't technically hire him by herself while under conservatorship. So you are correct that she didn't hire him by herself - she couldn't. You are also correct that he is being paid by Britney - he's a lawyer. He's a former federal prosecutor and has been retained by a few high-profile clients. He's also been involved in some interesting money laundering and financial fraud investigations. I understand the concern - Britney has been victimised by a crowd of people at this point - but I don't think he's on the wrong side here.

✨Me too! Judge Brenda Penny definitely seems to be dragging her feet in making any kind of actual decisions regarding this case. Her hesitancy definitely needs to be looked into. I remember watching a video by BJ (That Surprise Witness) some time ago where she'd found information stating that before Brenda Penny was a judge, she was actually one of the attorneys who had some involvement in putting Britney Spears in the conservatorship. Definitely seems like a conflict of interest if that is indeed the case.✨

My instinct would be that Lynne filed to withdraw the request for attorney fees because in order to get them, questions would need to be asked. Questions people might not want to answer. Jamie’s lawyer said it’s just theatre, and as much as I can’t stand the guy, I have to agree. He could’ve moved courts, he could’ve alerted the FBI, he could’ve not let the statue of limitations run out for criminal charges when it comes to bugging Britney, but he’s done none of these things. If he was so outraged on behalf of Britney, surely he’d do something worthwhile. It’s just rhetoric imo. Again, look into the history between Harvey Levin and TMZ and Jaime. Throughout the Conservatorship, Harvey kept positive coverage supporting Jaime. Harvey is a gay man, but also very misogynistic to fit in with the bro culture he fosters in his TMZ staff of bros that he loves to hire and surround himself with. That thinking aligns with Jaime’s religious world view that females are property, which is why Jaime has felt so entitled to control Brittany and get her money. Bottom line, Harvey through TMZ, kept helping Jaime sell the Conservatorship.

I’m learning to sew quilts! My mom just passed October 14 and for the first time I don’t have her for Christmas, and everyday….she sewed me the most beautiful quilts, and I will cherish them forever! The lip glosses sold by Gerard contain GLUTEN This is not clear from their labeling and there is no warning on the ingredients list. As a result I have been suffering since the second week of November and will not fully recover until close to Valentine's Day. I would like to spare someone else from having health issues each time they use their lips gloss from Gerard if you haven't been feeling well you have celiac's disease or gluten sensitivity or allergy your lip gloss may be making you ill. I will not get into the lack luster to insulting costumer support I have been dealing with from Gerard. The lip gloss was amazing, if you can you it safely enjoy!

Thursday Dec 15 2022: Intetesting video. I relaxed this evening and enjoyed it. What's going on here explains why I want conservatorship abolished. Britney suffered cruel treatment and was also robbed. This conservatorship was obtained by fraud. It should not have happened! Were I Britney I would get after Holland & Knight and claw back every penny they had taken. It's a seriously corrupt system that allows this to happen.

Emily, can B be held to the limitations if she wasnt able to sue at all because of the cship and ongoing litigation? What if there were things in motion that prevented her from actually suing civilly or requesting a criminal investigation over invasion of privacy? I have questions hoping you will touch on the recent 5yr copyright case that was dropped in Hall&Butler v Taylor Swift aka the shake it off lawsuit. My question is in regards to the plaintiff’s apparent lack of owning the publishing rights to the song, and had sold the rights years ago & now have sellers remorse. My question is if they can be in trouble with the court since they misled the court for 5 years. Or will / could the lawyer be reprimanded for the 5 yr frivolous case lacking the legal right to even sue Swift. Would there be any repercussions? I will assume had this gone to jury next month this would be played out in front of a jury and the plaintiffs would most likely lose since they didn’t own the rights; I would assume Swift would be awarded lawyers fees or whatever she could counter sue. Why have these plaintiffs not been reprimanded for bringing a lawsuit about a song they didnt own the rights to.
