There's a few things to remember about the cookies, the price is higher then regular cookies because they're for a fund raiser. They will only be on sale for a few weeks each year in your area. They freeze very well, and the Samaos with coconut are my crack.
Oh Tasha you were doing so well.😂😂Not tea, either hot chocolate or nibble around the edges and dunk in regular cold milk Thin mints are also good frozen and smashed up added to vanilla and chocolate ice cream..Mikey you saved countless Italian heart attacks.Tasha use a bigger pan for the pasta.
Thin mints are the best. When I met my husband in 2001 he was stationed in NC about 4 hrs from where I lived. He is from TX and all his family still lives here. His sister was in girl scouts at the time and was selling girl scout cookies. He bought a case of girl scout cookies and had them sent to the barracks where all the Marines he worked with wanted some.
One of the unique aspects of Houston is that it doesn't have zoning laws like many American cities. It is controversial to some people but I think it is good.
I am glad you are enjoying the USA. I enjoy seeing people come to the USA and seeing it in person instead of the movie stereotype. You picked one of the best places in the US to settle into!
Samoas are the best Girl Scout cookies. Chocolate, coconut, caramel, on a cookie. Perfection. And I'm not even Italian, but seeing that spaghetti about to be broken in half...I felt my heart jump into my chest lol.
I love watching you and Tashas interactions! You are just so cute!! I'm glad you are home. For future reference the GS cookies also have a cookie called "Samoas" It may have a different name now but those and thin mints are our favorites.
Mikey, been a follower since before you & Tasha’s US arrival. You both are a sweet couple. Know you tend to lean conservative. American progressive here. No matter the politics, we are all one. BEST! 🇺🇸🇬🇧
Boiling the spaghetti was funny. I used to always break it in half when my children were young and I just continued doing it. One time my adult son was visiting and the scene was exactly. I went to break it on top of the boiling water, and my son jumped up to stop me. 😅😅😅
Linguine is flat pasta. Spaghetti is cylindrical. Also, you need a larger pot with higher sides, or else the pasta won't cook properly. Barilla is a good brand or DeCecco or homemade/fresh pasta is another option.
My Mom always broke the spaghetti. I was living on my own before I could enjoy it the way it should be enjoyed. Spaghetti breakers are a curse (sorry Mom, wherever you are--still loved ya).
Anyone who knows chocolate would not select Hershey's. The problem with Hershey's is that over the decades, they started adding more sugar and less chocolate in their chocolate bars. They got lazy and greedy, and produced a poor quality of chocolate. I think more people would buy it if they improved the quality. Unfortunately, the brand is bigger than the quality. When people want to make snacks like "S'mores", they believe that they are obligated to use Hershey bars in the recipe, when using a good quality of chocolate is the way to go.
You guys had best be careful with the snack food. Taste great, and then it pops out all over the place. Muffin top, jumbo jowls, and thighs that don't stuff into your jeans any more
