As a Niners fan, I can tell you this is dumb. Brock threw a ton of picks in training camp and practice last year, including 5 in 1 day. How did last year turn out? This is nothing especially when you realize so many offensive starters aren't practicing like CMC, Trent, and Aiyuk.

Former basketball player here. There would be practices I don’t even score during scrimmages and I was a vote away from All State averaging almost 20 a game. The guys who scored the most were guys who dont even play. Because practice was the games for them, but for us it’s just practice. Nick clearly never played sports before. Or just road the bench. The argument for Purdy being good is simple. Has he put up numbers that put him on a hall of fame trajectory if he continued this? He has, so he's, at minimum, a solid quarterback. You can argue over how good he is, which is totally fair, but no bad/mediocre quarterback has ever had both the stats and playoff success that Purdy currently has.

Mamhomes, Rodgers (does) and Brady (did) threw a lot of picks in training camp. It lets them test how the WR react to 50/50 balls. Or if the route is sloppy, its used as a way to teach "this is why you go 8 yards, not 9" or, "This is why I don't want you rounding off your routes". I don't know if this is that. But I wouldn't sound the alarm. Check and see if a different QB gets more reps, or if the play calling changes.

If Purdy has a bad game, Nick makes it the top priority to discuss it first topic on Monday. If he balls out, he nitpicks the bad throws, and doesn’t give the credit. Purdy can throw 600 yards in the game and it’ll be because of his teammates.

What made us scary during that Jimmy G Mostert time was the fact that Kyle ran the ball down people’s throats. It didn’t matter of Mostert was injured because Tevin Coleman and the rest of that backfield would physically drain you with ground and pound runs. Kyle didn’t trust Jimmy to throw the ball deep, so it was a lot of short throws that led to YAC situations.

Here are some questions about Training Camp INT's in general: - Are the players catching (and dropping) these practice INTs teammates of the QB? - Do these defensive teammates spend a lot of time around him and know a lot of his tendencies? - Do these defensive teammates have a more intimate knowledge of the offense than anyone else? - Are these defensive players trying to prepare themselves for the season the same way that the QB is? - Are these defensive players ALSO trying to impress the coaching staff? If the answer to ANY of these questions is "YES" (and I believe that is the case for all of them), then training camp INTs hold little if any relevance.

Did Nick have a problem with Mahomes famously throwing 7 Ints in a single practice in his first year as a starter, the year that he won MVP and threw for 5000 yards and 50 TDs? Im a Chiefs and KU fan so needless to say Im no fan of Purdy going back to when he took over at Iowa State back in the mid 90s but come on "Practice?! We're talking about practice? It's just so insane that people are still dogging on Purdy for having good offensive weapons. Mahomes' best season statistic wise is with Tyreke hill. Tom Brady's best season statistic wise is with Randy moss. People gotta stop making this BS up that a great QB will put up great numbers no matter the weapon because it's simply not true. Then nobody would be paying WRs except they are getting the most ever. And let's be real Purdy doesn't have WR depth of some other teams especially considering Deebo is honestly a combo back and not good at route running. Give Purdy Justin Jefferson, Chase AND Higgins, Tyreke hill AND waddle and he'd put up more passing yards and td guarenteed instead of CMC running it in for 6 yards.
