When I first heard that expression “bush hog”, I was expecting to see a Razorback boar jump out of the bushes lol 😂. What you call a bush hog over here we call a “slasher “. Enjoyed the video. Regards from Down Under.
Ah the many names of the rotary mower. Slasher is common in Texas. Brush hog in new England and the western u.s. bushhog is a brand name and the most common in this area. Somewhere i heard the term gyro cutter.
Yeah, I have an international "bush hog" rotary mower and a Bush Hog finish mower and that makes folks around here have lots of questions. Locally at least bush hog is pretty prevalent as a brand. Your generator may have needed polarized, armature to battery for a second or two. I've had many old points style regulators get stuck due to being out of adjustment. Usually a clean and adjust process will bring them back to life. Anyway the GM style internally regulated alternators are very straight forward and are pretty reliable. They are also easily tailgate services so long as they aren't burnt.
I had a 1948 John Deere “ M “ that I switched over to 12 volt . The bracket I finally got to mount the alternator looked like a Dr. Frankenstein project . That worked until I had to replace the fan because the remount finished off the bad bearings that were on their last to last leg . 😂
Been a few years back but when I was rebuilding and selling Jeep YJ's and a few TJ's one of my parts suppliers asked me if I wanted some 1 wire alternators (new) for dirt cheap: 9 for a C note and I pay shipping.Hell yes I said and down right handy to have them. Still have 2 left.
