Dude sounds like you should have bucked up and got the full size Bronco as your expectations are kinda funny for the Sport.

Seems to me that the things you are complaining about are nit picking.Most of them you should have seen before you bought it. I have a 2022 big bend and I have no issues and I love it.

I got the same Bronco Sport for my wife! She loves it! Says it is the smoothest vehicle she has ever owned and I agree! I think your break issue is an isolated issue that you should have checked out. The Bronco Sport is really and Urban vehicle that allows occasional off-road use. It is designed small to fit in a modern garage and is good for kids getting in and out. We love it so far. I have a Jeep for off-roading!

i own a bronco sport and run 245/65/17 with no rub . also added a 1.5 lift but others in the bronco forum run the same tires with no lift and also report no rub. with those two additions it definitely feels more off road ready, should’ve come factory like this but hey it’s cheaper to add it yourself

I’ve test driven lots of SUVs lately and every time I do I realize how well everything was done in my 2nd gen xterra. It just does everything well in a quiet manner without a lot of fuss. Thanks for a good run down of the bronco sport.

We have owned a Sport BL for a few months now. Got the larger tires and retro wheels tho. It doesn't need anything more for general purpose use....ie lite duty off road,gravel and daily driving. Tire size and such.....you knew before u actually bought.....that's on you. We have no brake issues....or issues at all yet. Rear wiper.....pretty much the same as most SUVs....limited coverage of wiper. Steering wheel....nope we both like it. Issues with a new vehicle......happens all the time. All in all the Bronco Sport is an excellent little SUV.....more than adequate off road for it's intended purpose,happy buzzing around town or a dirt road. If I had one complaint.....maybe the weakish sound system.....but hey my new F150 with upgraded system isnt much better so....

I’m almost ready to order the 2023 Badlands. My rental car in Cali was a Big Bend. Fun to drive, sharp turning radius, plenty of pick up, small size could park anywhere, sharp looking. Brakes squealed when backing up-loudly. I bitch when crawling into my wife’s Cherokee trail hawk but easy to get into the sport. No real reason but I want the 2.0 engine. All the used ones I see cost as much as new so I’m getting new.

My bronco Badlands should be arriving in 2 to 3 months. I totally agree about the rear windshield wiper. There’s enough space for them to have added two of them.

8.8 inch clearance ... you should have ordered it with the optional Falken Wildpeak a/t3w if you wanted the more AT tires... 235/65R17 with a more aggressive tread.

I have no issues with the rear glass. And the tyre are ok for town road, country road and camping road. I have Bridgestone Blizzak dm v2 for winter. I find the height perfect for me and my wife. If you want bigger and higher you must pick a full size Bronco. This is the reason i prefer the Bronco Sport. It is more reasonable for highway, country road, camping and town and small so we can park anywhere in the town in small spaces. I have no break noise. The break are perfect.

Its good, i love my Bronco in offroad and overlander.

I own the 2022 Badlands and I agree with the steering wheel thing, that took some getting use to. Another thing I don't like is the way the wetness from the roof drips into the vehicle when you open the door.

I love my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Auto Bank (FBSA). I have over 11,000 KM and I have no issue. It my second Bronco from my previously 1978 full size, "The best 4x4 ever built by Ford in my opinion." My FBSA 2022 is Resonable on gas, I have the 3 Cyls. 1.5Lt. & plenty of power. I recomend this vehicle if you love compact 4x4.

Have you had time to check the brakes yet ? I just sent my bronco sport to ford because I had an issue with the brakes squeaking every time I hit the brakes at a red light after driving for about ten minutes. I’m still waiting for fords call to see what they find,

Did you get that break noise fixed ? If so what was it ?

I'm thinking about the big bronco, but I'm waiting for a hybrid or electric (solid state batteries when ready) version to be offered. Can't live with 15 mpg.

Seems like your expectations were really high for your purchase. Most of your complaints were noticeable at test drive and purchase. I have a 2021 outer banks sport and love it! The bank window size to me is negligible since most people use the camera for backing up. I will peek in my rear view and the window is fine for that. When you’re driving the back window size is fine. Nobody looks directly behind their seat out the window since the headrest is in the way. As for tire size, you wouldn’t buy this base model to go off roaring. A majority of Bronco purchases are for every day driving. They are great in the snow. Sounds like buyers remorse. Next time do your research or buy a Jeep.

one thing i don’t like is the unlock feature with your finger can’t be done w the passenger door first, has to be done w the driver and if i’m holding a heavy box, it’s another annoying step

My Ford Broncho Big Bend 2022 has no engine cover. I am really sad.

Haven’t noticed that brake issue on my badlands. I agree about rear glass and the opening itself is too small. The switch for rear wiper I find I’m always hitting by accident. I hate rear wipers in general and don’t use them. On the ground clearance: Dodge Nitro 8.1 inches Badlands w/pirellis 8.3 inches Badlands w/wild peaks 8.8 inches. The door sills on the nitro were probably higher since it actually had less ground clearance. It was taller over all tho. I find the pirellis have been good on the atv trails I hit, but not great in wet mud obv They do ride nice on road. Overall love the vehicle. It’s good both on and off-road. I find it more comfortable than the 2013 Flex I traded for the Sport. Decent review

You did buy a grocery getter, not a true off-roader. There are many manufacturers who are advertising “adventure trims” and the like, trying to cash in on the outdoors enthusiasts who don’t want to spend the money on the true off- road vehicles. I like the looks of the Bronco Sport, just not happy to read about the number of recalls and issues it has had. Narrow tires are great if you live where it snows.

Man, you are either digging deep or have very unreal expectations. 1, My Explorer is 10 years old, and it has a rear window wiper, and I can't remember the last time I used it. 2, My second car has Adaptive Cruise Control, which I use ALL the time and the on/off button gets used once a trip. The On/Off is the least used button, my most used buttons are, speed adjust up and down, disengage/reengage, and then follow distance. 3, can't comment on the steering wheel, but can say, I would adapt. 4, The tire "look" narrow? Really, would one be more concerned about how effective they are and if you wanted wider tires, you should have bought one with wider tires. "Will it look cooler" Jesus man, did you buy the vehicle to impress other people, to make you look good, or DRIVE? 5, Since when is 8 inches of ground clearance too low to the road???

The main thing I dislike about the Bronco Sport is the price. I can live with all of the short comings because every vehicle has them. But these are way overpriced for what we're getting and it becomes ever so clear as time goes on. The interior is one giant FantasicPlastic interior. There is nothing quality about it and anyone who says otherwise has always ever owned cheap cars. The drivetrain is also lacking compared to other options. When you look at the entire package I really have no idea why these are priced so high other than Ford trying to cash in on the Bronco branding. I like the Sport and think it's a decent vehicle... for about $10 less than it's MSRP is at. I have spoken with a former Ford rep who told me it was initially supposed to launch near $10K cheaper than it is currently. He said Covid and the chip shortage changed that plan when the car supply dried up. It became a supply and demand thing and that combined with the Bronco badge made Ford jack the price up. I can see how that could be possible because there is no way these should be as high as they are. Sit in a Bronco Sport and then sit in a similarly priced competitor. The cheap plastic and build in the Bronco Sport become painfully obvious.

Hello there.. I'm actually considering a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands and the 2022 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Without being biased.. which would you recommend in terms of reliability and maintenance costs?

I preordered my 2023 Big Bend Area 51 Bronco Sport last week. Seems like most of the things people hate are minimal, so I am still excited. But somebody told me on Facebook that the Bronco Sport is "the laughing stock of SUVs in the car community" and that if I bought one I'd be "laughed at, ridiculed and mocked by everyone". Is that true? Seems like it's liked overall? I'm not in the car community. I'm not trying to take it to any car shows. Lol. I'm just a single gal who loves the outdoors who wants something cooler than my CRV to take to the beach, hiking trails, or campgrounds. The only other off roading I'd do on it is dirt or gravel roads.

I would take it to the dealer right away. Last thing you want is a brake failure!

The brake issue, from what I can guess(I am not the most knowledgeable of cars) it could be an error on the ABS and it is over activating. Now this I just a shot in the dark, so take it with a grain of salt

Just a thought. If you genuinely plan on off roading on sand or dirt. Then yes you would want wide tires that will float over soft terrain. However if you live in a cold region where you will commuting on paved roads in the snow. Then you will want the factory narrow tires that do not float. Instead they put the weight of the vehicle down on the road. Wider tires on snow is a disaster even if the vehicle has AWD.

I'm curious how comfy the seats are.

Both the Maverick and Bronco Sport share their unitary C2 platform with the Escape crossover. Do you think you can go off roading in an Escape? Should have done more research and bought the full-size Bronco. Don't hate on a car that isn't designed for what you want.

One question for you? Would you buy another ford bronco sport?

Do you like it as a daily driver? Would you recommend getting the badlands for someone who would use it as a daily and would rarely take off road?

Hey Mooch! I remember your first BS BL video while I was waiting for mine to arrive. I've had mine for a couple months now and really enjoying it so far. A couple things that bother me though: -The interior materials scratch SUPER easy. I know it's built to be taken in rough terrain, but I'm still in the honey moon phase and every little scratch hurts when I remember all in I paid almost $40k for the thing.. 🤣 Oh, and the piano black panels on the outside (who thought that'd be a good idea on a vehicle like this??) came pre-scratched from the factory, or more likely, dealer prep. -I got the premium package with the B&O sound system. It's not bad but it rattles and vibrates randomly because of the plastics used nearby or loose cables.. either way, it doesn't feel very premium and drives me crazy. -I find the seating position to be a little awkward and uncomfortable for my legs (although the seats are comfortable) but this is probably common in most vehicles of its class. -I've noticed my breaks squeaking sometimes. Not sure if this is normal or not and possibly just surface rust build up but it's a little concerning. Otherwise I've been very happy with it!

I bought a base back in 2021 when the BS was first released since then Iv’e had to have my breaks replaced twice. I had to have the rear differential replaced at 15,000 miles .. there has been recall after recall and I’m certain there are more to come. I reached out to Ford in an attempt to get them to buy the vehicle back from me due to my dissatisfaction and safety concerns and I was denied. This is my first and last Ford.

Every issue you have complained about minus the brakes should have been figured out while you were sitting in it in the showroom before you even took it for the first test drive.That's what normal people do. Secondly, no manufacturer is gonna warranty brake rotors that you warped 3000 miles into ownership because someone drives with a heavy foot. Third, the Dodge Nitro was so terrible that it was discontinued after about 5 years, it shouldn't be apart of any comparisons. This whole video was just someone who likes the sound of their voice too much. I was actually interested in hearing a good "I hate list" but with as lackluster as this checklist was, I want to buy it more now! Ford should sponsor this review, to be honest.

Well you missed 1. The stupid rotary gear selector 2 . It’s the super motor cover that makes the back window appear small 3. The missed the opportunity to made a door instead of an inconvenient rear hatch 4. There should be a 2 door version Cheers Warren (BD BL22)

I saw one RU-vid clip from a guy in Colorado who took it to a tuning shop, had spacer lift-kit added and lifted it another 2 inches, had bigger tires and wheels and had the ECM chip modified to get much more power, it looked much better...the back window issue is a deal killer for. Thanks for your thoughts!

Its not very high? Dude, everytime I'm on the road, my head is just as high, or higher than nearly every other SUV on the road. Seriously look at other people when driving and you will see. Plus its got the 2nd highest ground clearence out of all compact SUVs sold on market. But I agree with the back window criticisms.

The rear wiper is small. The mirror only shows between the seats. You can't look behind your seat anyway, so what's the beef??? Look at some pics of the old military Willy's Jeep. Tall skinny tires outperform wide tires in most situations. Wide tires take power to drive down the road. Mileage and power will suffer with big boots.

Bud a Nitro isn't a full size SUV lol. Plus if the Nitro was so great you would still have it.

Here's a big one: The phone charger is crap. My phone connects and disconnects from the wireless charger every two minutes. The pop up window that tells you the phone is no longer charging covers the entire screen. I can't see my gps with a big pop up window covering it up every two minutes. Ford needs to get rid of the pop up window. Lastly, I can't use cruise control because I like to set my cruise speed 10 miles about the posted limit. However, when you use the cruise control above the speed limit there's a speed limit light on the dash that flashes on and off nonstop...for hours. Please, make it stop blinking at me the entire time I'm speeding.

Big windows in the back of cars look bad! Use the camera! Overall it looks too bad when the back window is tall!

It was not meant to be a true off road vehicle. If you wanted a true off road vehicle, go for the Bronco or Jeep Wrangler. I love my 2023 Bronco Sport as a daily driver, instead of driving my Ram 2500 diesel.

We own a bronco sport outer banks and you are saying is knit picky things. You bought the wrong vehicle you should have bought the big bronco or the bronco sport badlands. If you want bigger tires you will need a inch or inch and half spacer lift.

You bought a compact economy focused crossover and expect it to act and drive like a midsize to full-size SUV…. Why do so many bronco sport owners think k this is an actual off roader? I’m buying one for what it is, a ford escape with more headroom. These are economy family cars. If you want an off roader buy the full size bronco, a 4Runner, or a wrangler. THESE ARE GROCERY GETTERS and the badlands is just a grocery getter that can drive on a dirt road slightly better.

Ford Bronco sport is an absolute piece of garbage, Bronco sports are made in Mexico that’s a huge red flag for me. My advice get rid of it and get a full size Bronco.
