Brook trout catch breaks 75-year-old Colorado record 

For those who don't know an 8 pound Rainbow trout isn't too rare, but an 8 pound Brook trout is an absolute monster.

I have fished Monarch for decades and have caught some really good fish from it. I have mixed feelings on this. I am happy for the angler that caught that brookie but now that lake is going to get clobbered by people trying to match it. The lake will suffer in the end.
