I think the relatively wider midsole platform on the Hyperion Elite helps differentiate it from the other carbon-plated racers by providing runners a more stable super shoe. Good positioning by Brooks, there.
It’s weird. I would have said Endorphin Pro, but I did a tempo run in the pro today, and it had me wishing I had done it in the Hyperion Elite 2. The two shoes are pretty close in feel, I think I prefer the more aggressive Rapid Roll in the H2. -T
Great review guys. Just picked them up and they feel pretty awesome. Not as soft as Vaporfly/Alphafly but definitely seem to fit better. Between Vaporfly/HE2, what’s your preference?
My Nike Next% tore up the back of my foot. Totally bloody shoe after a half. I use KT tape on my heal now to to protect my skin. Looks like I will do the same for the Hyperion Elite 2.
I just got my pair in on Thursday and used them for a 4 mile tempo effort on Friday (5:55 per mile pace) after that effort the back of my right foot had a pretty nasty blister. Did anyone else experience this? Very annoyed as the shoe was amazing otherwise. Not sure how to fix this issue
@@Believeintherun could have been. Dan Empfield over at Slowtwitch talks often about what he can run in and what he cannot. And Nike is designing shoes for their elite 110lbers and not the vast majority that they actually sell to. So the Hyperion Elite 1 may have worked just fine for Des because she's under 100lbs, so every shoe she puts on is probably like marshmallows.
Aaron C we spoke with Brooks yesterday, the video will be up soon. Or you can watch it on our IGTV. Check out what Brooks Beast Team’s Henry Wynn has to say about the original.
@@Believeintherun they were the same ones that went to market midsole wise. Des said at the trials that the she liked the first one (she did win Boston in them), but there are only so many races in a marathoners legs at that level, so she wished they were as soft as the hyperion tempos. so they made them like that.
I (Robbe) felt the shoe rolled very similar to the Carbon X. In fact, that's exactly how the shoe felt to me, albeit lighter and with a bit softer ride.
I’m very pleased with the fit of my Hyperion Tempos in W size 9, so wondering if the length in the unisex sizing of the HE2 will be the same. If anything, the Tempos give me a smidgeon extra length, so for those of you who have both, should I stick with the equivalent of W9 in these? I believe that would be M 7.5. If the toebox is a lot wider that sometimes urges me to size down by a half size. Also, I love the laces in the Tempos but they are way too long and I have to double knot them. Are these the same?
