I have watched every Brother 1034D video of yours and I can’t thank you enough! I got one for Christmas to take my sewing to the next level and your videos have been a lifesaver! The serger is so intimidating until watching your videos...I feel like a pro already! You make it so easy! Brother should pay you to do their instructional videos! I haven’t even touched the manual!
I have been using my serger for over a year and was pretty certain I was doing it correctly, but watching your video confirms my suspicions. Thanks for a great informative video.
Thank you so much! You have been such an amazing teacher for me learning the serge! You have made me confident and able to conquer this machine. Forever and ever grateful!
Thank you for sharing. Helped me with my Brother 1634d. The manual that came with it, did not identify the purpose of those lines on that cover plate. Between your video and Chris's comment below, I now have a usable seam guide! 👍
In case anyone is having problems finding this information in the manual - as I did - the measurements are listed on Page 21 of your manual, under the section To Start Sewing, Number 5. The lines correspond with seam allowances of 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 1". Hope that helps!
Donna, there is nothing in the manual that came with my 1634d serger that showed the location of the seam guide. A brief mention was made on page 35, "To Start Sewing" to follow the guide. NO illustration!
@@chrisa3186 Thank you Chris. The instruction for the seam guide for mine is on page 35. Didn't find an illustration anywhere in the manual. Thank you. Now it makes sense, since I now know where to look for the lines.
