I think TacSol updated the OD Green barrels color. Mine matched my OD Green backpacker stock. Was worried about it at first, but it matches now.

Yeah. That’s the problem with anodization. It will always have variances. I’m glad yours turned out rad!

@@faithkillsfear it’s not an exact match, but it’s close. Not as bright as your barrel. Or maybe it’s because I used a stock silver upper receiver and it’s tricking my eyes. Idk, I’m happy with it.

Cross makes some pins .015 larger diameter for better retention. Did you get some of those?

Super nice job brother! Love how that thing turned out. TacSol barrels are awesome...have one on my 10/22. You got me thinking about putting one of these together. As for an optic...maybe a red dot or a 1X-3X prism like the PA Cyclops?

Thanks man! I love how it turned out. I ended up switching it over to an FDE stock and I think it looks even better. I agree on the optic. I have a vortex sparc II on my other takedown and I really like it. I was thinking of using another one of those

They should put rails on those barrels so the zero won't shift...

They have some really nice sights built in and magpul offers a Mount so you can attach the optic over the barrel.

Yes. Everything was purchased through Brownells. Obviously any regulated items like the receiver must be shipped to a licensed FFL. “FKF10” will save you 10%

Dislike the color. Black would look better on the stock. Paint it. Needs a scope. Would have like to have seen it in the compact travel configuration. Other than that, you gave a very nice presentation. Outstanding. Keep them coming. So many people do these poorly. Your's had all the components, introduction, body and conclusion--all done like a proper military brief. Well done and thank you.

Thank you! I disliked the color also. This resulted in me building a complete second rifle. Check out my next 10/22 takedown build video and you’ll see what I ended up doing. 🤙🏼
