Ok I just got a zaffiri precision slide and a 407c but the screws that came with the optic don't fit into the post to lock down the optic I'm lost and don't know what to do! Halp!!!
I have a M&P 2.0 9mm 4.25" OSP...trying to decide exactly which Apex "flatty" trigger kit to buy. Brownells shows two Apex models: 1) A polymer trigger kit $106 and 2) an aluminum trigger kit $170. Descriptions on both are somewhat confusing (if read at face value). Any help is appreciated. Greg (NC)
AFAIK the only difference between the two kits is the material of the trigger itself. The cheaper option is made of a strong polymer and has a matte look and a different texture feel. The aluminum will be anodized and have more of a sheen. They will both function the same and you won’t worry about breaking either of them. It really comes down to personal preference.
Great video to see how the slide stop is designed. The manual says to rack the slide to close it, and silent on using the slide stop. Do you have any options on the best way to do it?
What is the best way to make the slides? Stop easier to engage for left-handed shooters. Mine is extremely hard to push down with my left thumb. Can this be fixed or is it some thing I have to get used to?
So do I need to change that safety plunger thing? I don't have the optic ready mp and I don't have anything to move the rear sight so .. if I can't get that changed then the Apex trigger won't work ?
I recently came across some cheaper triggers and barrels. Put together two BRN-22 uppers for the grandkids when they get old enough. Sparked me to build my own using Volquardsen trigger, red CF barrel, and the Onxy chassis they sell. Was able to get some engraving done on the chassis, that I am going to backfill in Red. Barrel is on B/O. Will send picks when complete.
I’m in the process of building an 11/22 as well. I’ll be featuring a video once I’m done. I started with the Fletcher receiver and am planning on the TC lower. I haven’t ordered the lower yet; I’m hoping they’ll be running a Memorial Day sale.
I've wanted this for awhile but it's always out of stock, it seems that the 44 piece set plus the hex/Phillips set is the same with a couple extra bits and cheaper. Double checking tomorrow, their pro set looks great but boy is it pricey lol. Thanks for the video.
alright man, i'm sold. That smile on your face after popping off your first few rounds of the radian compensator says it all! thanks! and great review!
It's wild how manufacturers don't just dial in the triggers right off the bat. I considered adding an Apex trigger to my 2.0 but with the added $180 to the base price of $729 out the door I may' have leaned toward a 9mm 1911 instead of the S&W 2.0 if I had known what I know now.
@@faithkillsfear it’s not an exact match, but it’s close. Not as bright as your barrel. Or maybe it’s because I used a stock silver upper receiver and it’s tricking my eyes. Idk, I’m happy with it.
just watched your video, and it's very helpful great presentations on your built AR-15, looks awesome. Till you pulled out you AR-10😮💨😵💫😢😓disappointed: a Vortex scope? and a Magpul Bipod? 😵💫😵💫. It totally......, a such a nice built AR-10 with carbon titanium barrel in 6.5 crm was so impressive, then🤕🤒, you killed me. I don't get it, why? Dude, you need Steiner T-serials optic, and Cadex Falcon Lite bipod, man! Is almost about the same price point, dude, I am sorry.
Don’t be sorry. You are entitled to your opinions. I’m glad you like the video. Since that video I have swapped the bipod with an MDT FDE/Carbon Fiber bipod. I don’t plan on changing the optic though as I have been rather impressed with it so far. (And yes I have optics which do cost much more than a G to compare it to). I’m just not really an optics snob (not saying you are), as I believe there are “budget” (I’m saying budget with a grain of salt because that scope wasn’t what I consider as cheap) options which perform very well, even at long distances.
Brother, im so freaking hype right now. I did my apex trigger a few years ago and just decided to not do the plunger. I asked my local shop for help and they pretty much laughed lol But i just got a 10mm with a vortex. I was going to pay to have an apex installed but now i know i can actually get to the plunger
I’ve been having some light primer strikes after replacing the trigger, I see all over the Internet that there are complaints about this. I have complete faith at the install I did was fine, I even used all of the springs that came with the trigger assembly. I’m just curious if you know a fix for something like this. I’ve read things online about people replacing the striker assembly with a higher pound spring for a Glock, but I don’t know if I feel comfortable mix and matching parts for a different manufacture.
