My 30/06 went from 1 1/2 inch groups to all shots touching. I love my boss

It does take a bit of time at the bench. Quite a bit. So it is not for the casual shooter. Only those who really want top accuracy with a variety of loads. Repeatable accuracy with different bullet weights and loads with the same rifle is what really makes the BOSS the amazing device it is. Hope this helps.

I live in New York and wasnt allowed to get my BAR with the BOSS because it looks scary!

Love my A-Bolt 30-06 with the B.O.S.S. Have placed high in rifle matches, made accurate shots at African game over two hundred yards with pin point accuracy. Am currently selling lesser pieces to afford the A-Bolt in .270 equipped with the B.O.S.S. for pending caribou hunt next year. Shots to 400 yards....maximum accuracy is a must!

Sorry it took so long to answer these posts. The BOSS claims a lot while at the same time it can't claim everything. A few things are clear. If you use the BOSS and shoot a series of targets you will see the growing and shrinking of groups in a predictable wave pattern. Also, if you spend time fine tuning you can (if you are a competent shooter) achieve accuracy that approaches the tightest for your gun and the load. (cont.)

Many, many BOSS owners have shoot extremely small groups over the years. Much smaller than MOA. Much. However, can the BOSS compensate for a poor bullet or poor load? No. Does it answer all accuracy questions? No. But, with a good rifle and a good load you can achieve a level of predicable accuracy uncommon in the past. And you can catalog the settings. So you can change ammo/load and re-set the BOSS to get maximum accuracy with the exact load. No other system did this before the BOSS.

Just the fact that you havent seen this on most modern rifles goes to show that shooters just prefer reloading for accuracy rather then tuning their rifle barrel.

This is the same system that came in the Whiscombe Air Rifles, called HOTS.

Wild this is what they Call the BAR now.just think how much money they would make if Browning put the real BAR back in to production and made it affordable like AR10,15..

at 5:08 you have a chart for the sweet spot, where do i get a chart like that for a 22-250?

Can this system be put on other brand rifles?

Where are the charts (according to caliber & grain) for the BOSS settings?

If the two-shot group is smaller than your three-shot group....

My .308 A bolt with boss won me many 1000 yard competitions in Tucson. Admittedly, I spent many hours on load development. I’m disappointed that they no longer offer this option. I suppose browning wants to mass produce shitty products and doesn’t want tried and true products to keep them from losing incoming customers. The A-bolt with boss would guarantee that there would not be a need to buy another rifle. Good job browning. You discontinued the best rifle that has ever been produced. Screw you! You also discontinued it to generate more revenue.

@RJ33093 If you can't grab the rifle by the scope, your mount sucks. The force exerted on the mount from the weight of the rifle is nothing compared to heavy recoil over time - if you worry you'll lose zero, you will lose zero.

Thats why i use a fx impact pcp airrifle, sub moa at 100 yards easily

Overall this is a buyer-beware style situation. There was a day and age where we could trust claims made by a company based on honor and the hope for repeat sales, but in this day and age it's far more common for companies to buy endorsements or use flashy tactics. Gun magazines get paid through advertisements, and any good writer can twist a horrible flaw like "unexpected, sudden discharge" to "it practically shoots itself!". It's also common for them to cover up flaws/recalls Remincoughgton.

so far the past 53 years not counting military just adj. your scope, if you want to shoot 600 yards pay someone to go get your game an process it for you, its just money.

@gooztala I'm still very skeptical. For one; the Browning site's link doesn't come directly to this video, it comes to some shitty clothing commercial. Secondly; for this infomercial voiced spokesperson to claim a 2" group to be ANYTHING to be proud of in this day and age is pretty laughable at best. I know a man who swears by the A-bolt's ability to shoot sub inch groups easily...so if the BAR shoots 2" groups consistently without BOSS it might as well be a 200 dollar Savage.

Well well well... this system was already used by French military snipers back to 1970... FR F1/F2... nothing new under the sun... only new in US land!
