That's very common I hear for people who work in horror or B-horror. You generally have to like what you do to stick with it, so the fame isn't as important to you.
Yeah, I also heard he doesn’t even consider himself a Celebrity, that’s more like a Kim Kardashian thing haha his words. Such a “Groovy” way of living.
@@judsongaiden9878 Yes, Biehn is cool, but a few times he's been too greedy, such as suing big bucks for using his images in Alien 3. He had several similar cases, and the studios simply decided to avoid him.
And this was the exact influence for Guts’s, getting his amputated arm, and without this scene we may not have gotten as badass of a Black Swordsman, than we did.
Contrary to popular belief miura was actually not inspired by evil dead at all. It is completely coincidental that they are similar which way more awesome imo. That being said I do think that miura started referencing the shit out of it sometimes int the manga.
In the English translation for the manga, Guts literally says that the steel arm Rickert made for him is "groovy". It's speculated that this was added in by the translators as a joke.
Guts never said it, the person that loves Evil Dead and happened to localize it MADE Guts say it. He probably said something along the lines of 'cool', and the translator took the liberties they usually do and take advantage of Japanese speakers not knowing English, and English speakers not knowing Japanese. This gives them a free pass to rewrite original scripts. This was notoriously done in MGS, and Kojima hated it. The cheesiness of Snake saying 'Five-Five Sixers and Pineapples' enraged Kojima since the script never said that.
@@KC-bg1th "five-five sixers" is def a monumentally stupid thing to have _any_ veteran, let alone Solid freaking Snake, say, but I enjoyed Guts saying groovy.
Everyone groovin with the badassery that is Ash, but no one is talking about how the sawed off shotgun every game refferences every now and then originates here.
The most B movie horror I’ve ever seen was probably dog soldiers. As a 20 year old this video is making me realise I should probably watch some more 80s classics, starting with this, looks like a riot. Also editing is so ahead of its time.
Bro dog soldiers terrified me as a kid, like its just a werewolf movie but they freaked me out big time and the guy that got liquefied in the van still grosses me out to this day
This never gets old. My ex-wife watched this back when she was pretending to like the things that I liked she said after watchi ng, What the hell did I just watch? LoL. She next watched it with my commentary and she then appreciated it and i enjoyed spending time with her.
Bruce Campbell is The Man. Anyone who loves making fun of himself as much as he does is OK in my book. Laughing at ourselves is so much more satisfying than laughing at others.
Well, TBH I live in XXI century and yet I have no clue how this advanced piece if technology works :P I think I wouldn't have any problems living in Medieval times.
I hope Bruce Campbell is in the Multiverse of Madness, since there's gonna be Marvel Zombies...I really expect him to just fight and die to zombies lol
@@TalionWolfe Forgot to update but because he aged so much since I saw him only perform in Evil Dead, so I was caught off guard when he was the pizza guy
some people may struggle to believe it, but back in the day there was a term known as a "Handyman". This referred to a man with a broad spectrum of practical skills in construction, assembly, craftsmanship, various artisanry and just generally useful everyday skills. They were supposedly rather common amongst the male population.
@@umngyr Naw, Ash was just a fuckin standard jock before becoming "the chosen one". The in-movie reason he was able to do all this was because he had some college books in his trunk that came to the past with him.
@@D.H.1082 I doubt any college manual would include the finer details of blacksmithing, machining and mechanical engineering. Though if they do, i would dearly like to aquire one.
@@umngyr I'm not saying it makes sense, I'm just telling you how he knew to do all this. The movie sets it up in the scene. He starts by grabbing a bunch of textbooks from his trunk.
In reality no body want in that character or in that situation..... Fear x heart broken x crazy x unbelievable x Evil x dead = maybe Groovy word explained it All...😊
