Woo Hoo! I'm worthy :) Yes, I'm the lucky girl here! I was paying attention to Bruce so I didn't see this whole thing coming up my face... Saw this clip the following day in July 2008 reading the GP newspaper online. Then to my surprise, 6½ years later (Dec 2014) I stumbled across it on RU-vid. Bruce you're one of a kind. 5 stars to you!
What a guy!! this is the only American that deserves a medal from the Swedish people, for his love and respect over the years. And if i was a Primeminister i made him a Swidish citicent right away.
I met him at the Johannesburg airport and he was very, very kind to me and to my friend! I will never forget that day. Thanks for everything Bruce! Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil.
Had a few drinks w/ him in Asbury Park back in 1983 with my friend, and yes he is a nice guy. Double shots were on him! lol His music is timeless and everytime he plays a song it sounds like he's performing it for the first time. And that in my opinion is the mark of a true artist whether in film or music.
machia0705 You are a Lucky guy, man! Can you imagine what if felt like for a Brazilian boy meeting him by surprise? I always dreamed of it, but never thought it could happen to me. I was speechless. No kidding. (There were so many things I wish I could have told him...)
The guy is a prince. My sister met him when she was in college. The funny thing is she didn't know who he was: this was right after Born to Run. You see, she is a Barry Manilow fan. He and his band were very polite to her, and treated her with a lot of respect, given her musically-challenged perspective.
SPRINGSTEEN AND I - DOWN HERE ON MAGIC STREET :) I didn't see this coming and I don¨t know who filmed this (someone from the newspaper I assume) Whoever you are, thank you for uploading it here and making this memory last
This is tres cool !! Here's a shout out to all the Swedish Bruce fans from a NJ resident (tho not native, lol) and over-25-year Boss fan. If there's anyone who helps dispel the image of the "ugly American", it's Bruce. Keeps his nose clean, lets his music do the talking, and truly loves and respects his family and his fans worldwide. Pretty much the polar opposite of Whitney ("crack is whack") Houston, as epitomized by the incident JimFarina recounts below...
He had his entourage...mostly security guards. What possesses all those people to spend that much time for just a glimpse of a rock star or any celeb like that. Off the stage he’s just like anyone else. I know he’s a great artist as I can attest to that. I’ve seen many shows. But....he’s not Jesus Christ.
