Sketch comedy is usually where they have a lightly scripted situation with improvisational comedy, in other words he makes it up on the spot, but the police setting is scripted.

Most of the people hosting the sessions have been doing so for years, yet they still seem to retain enthusiasm for whatever subject they're responsible for covering. British NHS employee here. No, you see, they're pretending to be bent cops. By which I mean that they're pretending to be in on the crimes. So they're pretending to be pretending to be the police even though they actually the police. So the crime boss thinks they're pretending to be police that sort of are the police but aren't because they do crimes, even though they don't really, and that's why they're in a police car, so they look like the police that aren't really the police, even though they are, even though they are. I don't mean they're pretending to be gay, even though they are.
