You are adjusting the stop wrong on the gearbox clutch you have the early style rake sweep link that when you adjust the clutch you adjust it so that the four to one and the rake sweep link Rod dissect the washer for the A2 converted if you have the offset sweep lever that has the large rake sweep Rod you adjust it so it stops at the top of the washer due to the offset just an FYI you should be adjusting the rake sweep arm so it dissects the washer on the 401 crank arm
Thanks for watching! I truly appreciate it! I tend to adjust the clutches so they stop just a hair later than book spec. This can help with issues like twisted 1:1 shafts and worn moving deck/scissors cams. With twisted 1:1 shafts and worn cams, sometimes the moving deck cam follower isn't fully forward. This can cause issues with pin delivery from the turret to the moving deck because the blocking finger may not be fully up. Or the deck hasn't shifted fully forward, which can cause deck jams as the machine starts a 1st ball cycle with a full deck. Hope this helps clear up why I don't go by book spec on GB clutch adj.
Why wouldn't you use the long 1/4" yoke bolt to adjust the 4-1 stop position. Man that place is in bad shape. Those machines need a good bath and lubed.
