I saw nothing mentioned about the dlc/microtransactions, were they pretty outrageous for what they were or were they reasonably priced?

There is no DLC for the game yet. As far as the microtransactions, its all cosmetic items. You're better off buying the Tamer Pass which is a really good deal.

You can also makea another video like that as temtem just got its 1.3 patch with the new nuzlocke challenge mode, that is awesome!
