Bare minimum expectations were actual financials/sponsors and stadium upgrades, ability to customize custom badges, home, away, 3rd kit and GK Kit, and a revamped regression. Knowing that was still too high for EA, all I got was the ability to customize the 4 kits. Struggling on whether or not to really purchase this year especially if EAFC may be large improvements, but again I still don’t trust EA.
Sponsors, all the create a club things you mentioned, finacial and stadium builder were my expectations to get, but of course EA cant even do that. Also are’nt we supposed to get the National League? Or is that also just a fake hope.

I am deeply disappointed by how little was applied to Create-a-Club. Create-a-Club should be the priority of the Career Mode team as it has insane potential since it doesn't require licenses except for the ones they already have. PS: Still gonna do a BVB Jurgen Klopp Career Mode.
Other than the kits, you can customise the names, appearance & stats of your squad when setting up the club, which was in the pitch notes but they left out the trailer. EA really illogical as that’s a better feature than half of the ones in the video
I agree with Vizeh on these: 1. Managers should have MORE STAFF than just SCOUTS. 2. Modifications to the Stadium, Training ground, Facilities, equipment, etc. 3. Different Players Potentials more. Personally I want to put a CAP on my Created Player. 4. Player Stats shouldn't Drop off a cliff after 30 especially if they are constantly training & performing. 5. Choosing your own Sponsors. 6. Fans CALLING for a Managers head when they under perform. But I would also add: 1.SUPER STAR Players NEED to FEEL like SUPER STAR Players on or Off the field. 2. Player personalities could be better in Interviews, Manager interactions, Their own team mates and opponents for certain teams. Kinda like how Messi didn't like Ramos. 3. ADDING TRAITS TO CREATED PLAYERS. It can't be that hard if the mods can do this! 4. HALF TIME LOCKER ROOM Cut Scenes and Interactions to Motivate the SQUAD! This is something in Real Life that Fifa have yet to add. 5. ALLOW Us to ADJUST The MANAGER OBJECTIVES! Why is it I can choose how much money the club gets but not what they want?????????? 6. Managers talking to Players on the sidelines. LIKE THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS IRL but NEVER IN FIFA.
Only 2 features I want in career mode at the bare min. are: Long career mode (like fm, no stopping point) More national teams, so u could do a san Marino to glory or smth
Player career mod actually looks promising for the first time ever. There are some simple touches they could've added or imported from NBA or NFL career modes but still W for a mode that was neglected alot. Manager mode is a bit disappointing.
Manager career is barely any different. The extra customisation & the cutscenes are the only improvements worth even mentioning. EA really have messed up
Likw how hard is it to add some fucking sponsors, if there is any legal obstacle, just use the 2k model, let us upload our own pictures and use them on the kits, maybe some people would use dicks and shit, but use some censors since it is offline anyway

God I used to love this mode and now after about 2 months of playing this I’m gonna be bored and do what they want you to do and fall into the trap of ultimate team
The worrying thing is they have put more effort into the shite like transfer analyst & player personalities than what it would take to simply add in your own contract, sponsors, realistic transfers, academy overhaul. EA are so out of touch with the community
I was hoping for an actual kit and stadium creator like the leakers were saying. All they did was give you the ability to customize all 3 kits including the goalkeeper kit that should’ve already been added last year. The kit options aren’t even different. No kit creator, stadium builder, crest customization, etc. What a joke. Modders can do this in a week, it takes EA months just to do this?? I’m so incredibly mad rn. And the CPU AI, my god how horrendous. All I want is a realistic football game.
The thing is in the first 6 minutes of this video, I reckon you've put more thought into this mode that you barely even play than anyone employed at EA has and it's mostly features that used to be in the game anyway. The features they actually added could've been added in as a title update in November. I mean seriously "new menu" as a feature? When it's really just moved the panels to a different part of the screen? Yet people will pay £50 for this. I wonder if these features will even be on xbox one and ps4 editions of the game because if I'm honest, it won't surprise me if they aren't.

What is holding most developers back is the fact that they still need to cater for old gen. EA needs to take stand and stop worrying about ppl that are still on PS4 when they build a new game. Downside to this though, is that new gen consoles are in short supply.

@@666oracle I don’t agree with this tbh. The ps2 edition of Fifa 11 for example compared to fifa 11 for ps3 is so much better in terms of features. They actively took features out of what was current gen at the time and essentially made what was previous gen better. Mind you, ps4 was only 3 years away and ps2 wasn’t current gen for about 5 years too. There’s no excuses for the way EA treat their own game. They should be so far ahead of the curve by now but the game takes one step forwards and two steps back most years particularly in gameplay.

PC players are getting the most here. We're going basically from FIFA 21.5 to FIFA 23. Even if its tiny adjustments before the hopeful upgrades in their game post-FIFA era. We've been stuck on last-gen so I myself am very excited to finally play the FIFA we should have gotten last year. But I ain't commending EA for this, its lazy in the first place that we didn't get next-gen.

I remember fifa 08 where you actually had to sign sponsors and manage you wages next to the weekly sponsor income (and ticket earnings from homegames). If you wanted to earn more money (to sign better players), you had to play better to sign better sponsors or use the money you had back, to upgrade your stadium. I remember you could upgrade your training staff for different departments etc etc. Imagine that a 15 year old fifa, you had more optinunities than in fifa 23
My issue with your point on spending money on stadiums, burger vans etc is that that isn’t a manager career mode, that’s a chairman or an owner career mode, staff is understandable but stadium and aspects that aren’t directly associated with managing the club I don’t think should be in a manager career mode
@Wisteria 999 I think by all means put it into a create a club career, as you’ve created the club yourself but if you’ve got a burnley career and you’re sorting out how many burger vans are outside the ground, that doesn’t scream manager career, it would be a lot more fun but it’ll never be added because it’s manager career

Changes: - Manager Customization replaces SOCKS (that you cannot see) with GLASSES (which a decent amount of real managers wear) - Logo/Badges put on the generic T-shirts & Hat hairstyles instead of wearing blank canvases - FIFA 17 Practice Arena in Manager CM --- this feature was present & removed but was amazing to create set pieces or practice in a variety of situations/set piece spots. - Manager contracts (not just an indefinite 1-year valuation with whichever club I'm managing at the time) - Weekly Schedules (like training vs. off days) could be altered months in advanced; not just a 2-week limit - Training got the ENTIRE squad involved; not just a select few looking for unnecessary form bonuses - Development in specific attributes unrelated to their position changes or play styles could be brought back & possible from past games - Editing Players in Career Mode that aren't licensed players to change their appearances, names, etc. - Editing ALL players stats in Career Modes like other sports games (Madden, MLB the show, Chel, NBA 2K, etc.) - Transfer Overhaul --- new transfers that make sense based on player nationality, league experience, motivations, etc. - Buy Back Clauses - Youth Academy Overhaul --- new recruitment & coaches that makes sense based on club's size, league, current team demographics, etc. that alter YA effectiveness or specialties
In interviews they have spelling mistakes, not enough time to read and writing can come of the screen. for the BARE MINIMUM for a SIXTY POUND GAME I expect that to be sorted
Kids don't know how much shit the old fifa's had back in the day. Career mode had a star system for how well you were doing, 1 to 5 stars. The more you lost the less stars you had the more chance you had of getting sacked.
I've owned every FIFA from 2002 all the way up to 18, buying them on release every year and treating "FIFA Day" like Christmas day. But from around the 16 to 18 titles I started to become more and more disillusioned with the lack of content for career mode. Realising that EA doesn't care about the fans/customers all it cares about is money. This is why I've been boycotting FIFA since 18 and it looks like career mode hasn't changed all that much in the last 4/5 years. -----------> EA Get in the bin.

Btw I don’t think the playable highlights has visual sim I think it just throws you in at different points in the match like a Sky Sports RU-vid highlights.
Completely agree. I’ve always seen fifa as a game that I can just pick up when I’m bored and play casually. I’ve never liked all the hyper realistic manager simulators where you have to keep up with a million different things at once or else your club fails. And I don’t get why everyone wants fifa to become that. If you want a simulator with a bunch of intricate systems that takes hours upon hours to learn then go play fm22

Add under 18s under 21s under under23s teams then promote them into your senior squad. 9 player milestones and mangers 10 PFA team of the year and play of the year 11. Transfer funds request. 12 career mode audio like what they did for matches and the league table for that feature in FIFA 13 FIFA 14. 13. Commentators mentioned the history about your club in create the club.
I've gone from someone who could go toe to toe with Division 1 players online and give legendary teams on FUT a good game with bronze players (I like handicaps makes it more fun). Career mode was my ultimate favourite though. It's so dead I quit and went over to FM, best decision I've made so far
I want to be able to use my career mode team in exhibition match. I don't want a cap on how much growth I can have in player career mode. I want to get multi year contract as a player. I want to be able to go speak to the coach and lobby for certain roles I want to be able to see the team line up. Tactics and instructions in player career mode. I want to get in match instructions from the coach, like ultra attack or say overload a certain part of the pitch. Etc
Bare minimum you ask? All we wanted was the player career mode to emulate the Journey but with your own created character of course. With the social media, strike partner relationships, dialogues with famous footballers, traits, customization, having one boot sponsor which will supply you with all the boots made from 2 years ago until the current version of the game(for example Alex hunter having access to a butt load of Adidas boots) and after having that I'd be happy with the game
NBA2K has given the players a fully customizable career mode and they have 3 different types (owner, GM, player) for the past 8 years and people still buy the game every year despite not much changing in those modes the last 5 years..I don’t get why EA intentionally disappoints its customers every year. They’re either lazy or just incompetent.
Contract durations and the option to leave on a free, it’s crucial for an authentic player experience. But also fix all existing bugs (same player numbers on squad, career player face not editable, etc)

I think it was fifa 08 when you were able to get sponsors. That's what should be in create a club. Also adding that the sponsors should be printed on the front of the shirt (or elsewhere etc).

I'm an old fifa gamer 😁 44 years old and from Belgium. I only play managercareer or sometimes playercareer. Honestly i think managermode is dead from back in 2005 or something. I played in 2003 i think on xbox the best in dept career mode ever. EA did this once but 2004 i think you couldn't do it again. All the features you're talking about: stadiumbuilder where you had like a Sims impact screen where you saw a Caterpilar construction your stadium and a timebar when i will be finished. A youthacademy with the exact names and ages of the specific team. Staff that you could upgrade etc. Only thing you had to buy Fifa game and Fifa manager so 2 games. You all did the specifics in fifa manager saved it and then put out the disc and removed it with Fifa game so you could play your games on the best quality there was. It was mindblowing for me. Because of stopping this a year later i think my intressed was also gone in playing games. The first time after was in 2018 that i bought a PS4 and began to play again but managercareer was dead to me. The only thing they want is that you go online an buy things. I still hope one time EA gives us a proper in dept manager game. I also have many ideas even if you have to pay let's say 5 euro to improve a staduim quicker etc ... . But i hear you man and i have the same anger and frustration you have.
Would love to see a youth and reserve team manager or to be able to manage reserve/youth teams myself and be able to promote and demote players, would be cool to win the league with my team and also be able to play and win reserve, youth matches/ leagues. I am also kind of sick of the training drills and want to have more influence on finances like sponsors and merch sales.
This is disappointing from a create a club view. It reminds me of EA Madden 12. They put a ton of customization in that game for custom team (unis, logo, stadium, atmosphere). Idk why they couldn’t just base customization off of something like that 10 years later

Here me out okay This are things that happen in real life that i think EA should add and frankly i dont think its that hard of a task 1:Manager and Player contracts- IRL managers and players have contracts that are renewable and can be terminated yet in CM you play regardless of any situation you are in i can play 15 seasons in the same club be there best player win the CL with them but still earn 15k per week its stupid 2:Social Media- i think we can all agree that social media has the biggest influence on the modern game yet EA overlooks this and even had it for a game mode on the journey but didnt keep it i want to be able to post comments pictures or screenshots of the match i have just played and all 3:Staff- Player progress is determined very highly on the quality of staff one has and surely how im i not able to upgrade on that 4:Club finance manager- the only thing finances does is just buy players but we all want to do more with that like allocate a specific amount to facilities or loan payments that the club has. Haaland at Man City isnt going to progress the same as Haaland and Sheffield United 5:Football pundits- Just like a daily footballers and coachers are judged by pundits all over and give their overall view on the player or coach in a club 6:Fan and Board rating- This just speaks for itself

10:30 i disagree. Playing as a striker in player career is boring for me. I prefer CAM/CM and RB. It’s more challenging that way and I still top the assist charts in both positions and end up as top scorer as a CAM.
I play midfield in player career mode because that's where I play in Pro Clubs team with my friends. Also tried doing a LB save but manager seemed to think I was a CB in every game so I gave up. Not everyone is a ST.
Stats from other leagues! I know my player on loan hasn't scored any domestic goals, because he's on fucking loan and the ability to change clubs within the summer - on manager mode, you can't move until October
The fact that people still complain even though they get so much just shows that no one respects what they get and just can’t be grateful. If you want a football managing experience but Football Manager. Fifa is a game base on actual football gameplay and club management is only a small part in that.
We don't need a Transfer analysis system, if I'm buying for example Raheem Sterling on an absolute steal, I don't need the game telling me that it's an A grade deal and then tell me that I should put him in the Starting 11, I'm pretty sure I can figure that out myself
I want a realistic player career where I can crash my lambo while drunk and have my DUI be in the headlines, or get in a pub fight where there is iPhone footage of my player yelling slurs. Come on EA!!!
has the international career been revamped? this is the only feature i care about. because previous titles unless you pick a european nationality theres no international competition outside of the world cup and euros, so its friendly after pointless friendly for 4 seasons then a world cup, if your in say the CONCACAF or Asian CL theres no competition. this is what career mode should be about, reaching the pinnacle of world football. FIFAs prior were a shambles in this area.

if i cant play a manager career mode with a friend online (both of us playing the games), then i will not buy the game. it's the only thing i play. Dont play fut, don't play online friendlies, dont play pro clubs
Honestly the only things new is choosing IRL managers(should have been a here before and it’s not even that big) and playable highlights cause I once played a Ajax career and honestly playing some boring league games was a huge waste of times and skipping them ruins rating so no choice but to drop difficulty, score and jump to result!
So your 5 things are all in Fifa 13 or was it 14. Why EA removed and not put them back in to keep the fans happy I have no idea. The business model is/was already there, just add it back in!

Some of the things you’re describing are available in another EA title. EA NHL. It’s always baffled me that they could have features available in one of their sports titles, but not in others, when, in my opinion it would carry over so well. I’ll give you an example. When you’re in manager career mode in NHL you just don’t manage the team. You also set the prices at the concession stands, decide what ticket prices are for seats in the arena. You can even raise ticket prices for certain games if you want. You aren’t going to charge the same price for a seat during the regular season as you are if your team gets in to playoffs. No. You’re going to raise that ticket price to get the most bang for your buck, and if your team has a high rating, and if your fans are happy with you, they will show up, and they will pay those higher ticket prices. $$$$$. More money to spread around. You can even improve your rest rooms in the arena! Might sound mundane, but there’s certain place I won’t go to simply because their bathrooms are nasty. If you improve your restrooms you get a bounce in attendance. On the flip side…you have to be careful with concessions. Raise the prices too high…yeah more profit, but people are going to complain, and your attendance may drop a bit. If they can do this in NHL, why can’t they do it FIFA? That’s all I’m asking. 🤷🏻♂️
Consumers MUST stop buying these games until they give us what we expect out of career mode. Bombard their trailers and review sites with feature demands. Stop giving them your hard-earned money - they have not earned it. I haven’t bought a FIFA since 19.
Now for PC players such as myself, this will be a HUGE improvement over the last fifa cause we didn’t get the new gen stuff which was all the cutscenes etc. Realistically should’ve avoided fifa 22 and waited out for this one
I loved the playable highlights but, I would want some more realistic transers because I am bored of every good player going to the same teams, and there is like no loyalty I have seen players who are a their club from more than 10 leaving o go to Real or Psg. Then we have Psg that I know the have a lot of money but every time the buy like EVERY SINGLE PLAYER OVER 80 OVR.
I want to see real time online career mode where its like osm. Imagine if you could play like one week every day, so that you can compete with friends. I also want to see better club ai in fifa. I never see any club being able to go up to the premier league and stay there. That also has to do with a massive flaw in the career mode, which is that ai team players always reach their potential. The top leagues get all the 85+ players and therefore its impossible for small teams to progress. I also dont want to see Mbappe being the best every time. It would be fun to see players like him dropping off and not realising their potential, because of injuries or bad form. It would also be fun to see underrated players become the worlds best in other teams. I want to be surprised by scout reports. You should also just be able to scout in every country in the world and to have access to more national teams. I want to give Mongolia a golden generation. I feel like this is never gonna happen though
In my opinion, this whole thing of putting out videos to try to “prove” to people that they made a better game, is kinda backwards. If they really, truly made a better game, they wouldn’t have to negotiate that through 3-4 videos trying to show the consumer “hey, we changed this and this and this. Buy our game please”. They have to prove the game is better, versus just showing us on release
It’s amazing how every year we have low expectations yet still feel let down. EA do the bare minimum with this game mode. If they continue like this without the actual FIFA rights, they’re fucked. People need to boycott this game.
Honestly a lot of the features are meaningless to me the new cutscenes will get old career mode barley touched couldn’t care less about playing as a manger. I don’t care about analytical transfers that means nothing and doesn’t effect anything. And player career looks ok but honestly it will get boring quick. Why couldn’t they add youth teams or massive customisation and simple things like being able to see stats from other leagues.
Ive said since fifa brought out fut that it killed career mode becus of the money ea wanted to earn from packs ....the main thing that will change career mode for ever is it to be online like fm u can only play with the people who joins the game this way u can have 6 friends battling for top 4 u can only sign 1 player meaning harder to get the typical top player or wonder kid becus all your friends might want him aswell creating battle for signatures coming down to where your team finshed or the reputation of the teams and have the career mode still running normal with ai decision for other teams imagine being in championships with 4 or more players and only 3 can come up they need to mix fm and idea and put them into this game
The menu is not exactly new, it's just better menu, more streamlined, if you need to navigate through 2 subcategories of a menu before, you'll get there easier. It's an improvement still but shouldn't really be called new. Outside of the player personality/investment stuff ofc.

Whenever something new popped up u brushed it over like the real managers. That is a feature. Even though they were in the game u couldnt use them, and we can now. Thats a feature im excited for. Its a feature. The personality thing looks great and u brushed over it saying it was useless. Create a club isnt the same, you can see that u can now customise third and gk kits but u didnt say anything and reading the pitch notes would have shown u that u can edit the players in your club which is great Transfer analysis is a new feature which looks great. It lets u known if ur overpaying or doing great. Also it tells u when u sell a player whether u have enough back up or if u need to sign a new player. Bruh the transfer analysis is probably the most useless features I’ve ever heard. Why the fuck that you should care about overpaying a player and plus most career modes player already know how to negotiate to get the best price out of the player anyway. The same about the position thing. I buy the player, of course I already know where to play him or is he going to be in the starting 11.
