Filth needs the death penalty so the surviving family members can get a sliver of normalcy back, this trial needs to be over soon.

He is crying and demanding his rights when he ignored those kid's pleas for their own right to live. Either he gets the Death Penalty or some good Samaritan does the world a favor.

I know defense attorneys are ethically obligated to represent their client to the best of their ability, but in violent cases with no reasonable doubt going in, they usually just act as middlemen arranging plea deals. Ariel Castro didn't even try to fight his charges, and his attorneys guided him through pleading guilty - they didn't try to defend his actions or get him off the hook. Robert Bowers's attorneys tried to arrange a guilty plea (prosecutors only refused because they wanted to go for the death penalty). Kohberger refused to verbally enter a plea in court -- doesn't that mean he's not talking at all? I mean, if he was actually communicating with his attorneys like a sane person and participating in his own defense, he would have said, "Not guilty" at arraignment. If you have a client who's not cooperating with you, AND DNA evidence showing that client killed 4 people, is the best route really to try to get him off the hook? Can't they petition the court to withdraw, even if they're court appointed public defenders, to avoid suborning perjury or something? Are his attorneys banking on their argument failing, and they're just establishing, "Well, I TRIED to the best of my ability, so I fulfilled my legal obligation."? They must know in their heart of hearts that if they succeed, they're putting a violent mass murderer back on the street. Does their code of ethics really obligate them to do that?

If there were other DNA samples found, have they been tested against other individuals who were present in the house? Obviously not, so were they found at random locations in the house? I'm assuming they were from male students present at a party in the house? They might be impossible to track down but every effort should be made in order to eliminate them as suspects. His defense is going to focus on any unknown male DNA in order to introduce some element of doubt.

that's not accurate about an alibi. if you're at home that is your alibi. in his case he was driving around then there will be some sort of evidence tracing...retrace his route and if there were truly 3 other unidentified dna samples on the sheath and the defense can prove this the prosecution is cooked. trace DNA is DNA that was brought into the crime scene it wasn't produced at the crime scene. the question then becomes, if there is other DNA on the sheath did they follow the same procedure with the other 3. its not black and white. the burden of proof rests on the prosecution

He doesn't even act like a person who has been wrongfully jailed for that horrific crime. He should be way more vocal in trying to convince the judge that they have the wrong person. Unless you're guilty and don't want to mess up your story in any way.

As far as why it took so long to call the police, I've wondered if they had some of the Sorority sisters come over and remove drug paraphernalia and drugs that might have been scattered around. But I have wondered first, how anyone could have not heard sounds of struggle and screams that must have been made during the killings? And second, how could any of the Sorority sisters have had the self control to clean up any drugs and not just immediately call 911? What a horrific crime. I guess we will find out the explanation during the trial. I've tried to reserve judgement but the circumstantial evidence is pretty strong.
